The pics of me were taken on Feb. 28th, 2009. As you can tell by my name, I'm a musician (yes, we drummers DO qualify as musicians, don't listen to all those jokes about us!). I have played the drums for nearly 33 years, and have spent the last 10 years on worship teams in various churches in Iowa City and Omaha. For hobbies/interests, I enjoy swimming, mini-golf, bowling, volleyball, stargazing, listening to shortwave radio (just once in a while), and going on roadtrips when I have the time and money for them. For music, I listen mostly to praise & worship and contemporary Christian, although I do like classic country music. I like seafood, Mexican, and Cajun cuisine, as long as it's not too spicy. My favorite restaurants are Cracker Barrel and Red Lobster. Don't watch a whole lot of TV, unless it's a college football game or just to check the weather as I head out the door in the morning. I would have to say my dislikes are people who are selfish & egotistical (although I am called to show Christ-like love to them, nonetheless) and driving on slick roads in the wintertime. I have been to 2 foreign countries (Guatemala and Canada) and in or through 30 of the 50 states. I would like to visit New England in the fall sometime, and still want to travel to the northern Rockies in the summer. Since I am not a huge fan of Midwestern winters, I would love to move south someday soon. I spent a week in Waveland, Mississippi in Nov. 2006 doing cleanup and rebuilding from Katrina, and became very attached to that area -- if it's in God's will for me, I would like very much to move to the coast of Mississippi or perhaps southern Louisiana.
My Ideal Person:
Looking for a woman who is a born-again (i.e., has accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour) Christian, first and foremost, I WILL NOT COMPROMISE ON THAT. Secondly, I would prefer that she does NOT have children and does not plan to have any. I just do not have a strong desire to want to be a dad or stepdad someday. I know that narrows the field considerably for me, but that is just the way I feel. I hope to find someone under 5'4", as I like it when a woman can look up to me not only spiritually but literally. I desire someone who is very romantic and affectionate -- physical touch is my love language, so I hope to find someone who has that as hers, as well.
