I'm a registered nurse and I work at a psychiatric hospital in central jersey. I absolutely love what I do and the people and patients that I work with. I work with many people who have drug/alcohol addictions, people who have have tried committing suicide, those that suffer from chronic mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, etc. Although I'm not in a "traditional" nursing role in a medical hospital, and I'd like to some day get other nursing experiences, I believe I've already found my dream job. Because a lot of my job involves talking and using therapeutic communication, I have the opportunity to share my faith, and the Amazing, life changing Love and Grace of Jesus Christ everytime I go to work. People will not always care about "religion", but they will always be attracted to, and want to know more about His Love, and why we worship Him, when His people let the Holy Spirit, which dwells in all of His children, work in them and through them, pouring out His love unto those He died for and came to Save. People many times don't meet God or want to know more about God until they are in "the desert" place, and most of the people I get a chance to work with as patients are in this desert place, they've hit rock bottom, and God is patiently waiting, knocking at the door of their heart, calling out their name-and they want to know why I'm always smiling, why I'm so nice, what makes me so "happy", when really it's not "happiness" at all but the Joy and Love of Christ working in me and is evident in my life.
