53 year old Woman in Central Region, Texas, United States Looking For: Men for a dating relationship, a friend, a bible study partner, a pen pal or a prayer partner

Profile for myallforHim2
Here goes! I am currently attending Graduate Theological Seminary...want to broaden my knowledge of the Bible while I search for the blueprint God has for my life. I loved teaching children, but after some missionary trips I feel the Lord moving me into more of a ministry position. 'Plan to do Christian family counseling because this is such a needed area...but I'm always flexible and listening for His direction. I currently attend a small Spirit Filled Church near my home....and I'm transferring to ORU in January, so that should explain my beliefs and preferences a little. I have a gorgeous son in college. I come from a wonderful Christian family and my life is totally blessed and centered around the Lord. There are some special single guys out there that are madly in love with the Lord as well........right? I love children, love to read, jog, travel, love Israel, and enjoy gardening. What a hoot this is! I pray it's not dangerous! Anyway, God bless you richly as you seek His plan for your life.

My Ideal Person:
It would be great fun for now to have a friend to discuss Bible topics with, have chats on the phone, or go to a movie with. I have lots of church and missionary friends all over the world, but most of them are married. The guy God has already picked for me is firstly on fire for the Lord, secondly a faithful friend, thirdly fun, and lastly...cute!

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I was raised in the ways of faith. My parents are warm wonderful people that love the Lord, delight in His Word, and taught their daughters to do likewise. I eat, sleep, drink, work, play, and breathe all with my Beloved Savior in mind.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
As for me and my house...we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15 He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not, with Him also freely give us all things? Rom 8:32 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into the marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Being unequally yoked in these days is a dangerous proposition, not only for a Christian girl's heart, but also for her spirit and destiny. God has a blueprint for each of His children and I want to please Him by hitting the mark He has planned for me. I have many friends, but He has designed a special Boaz for my future. How marvelous...a little heaven on earth...isn't He clever?

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in Nebraska in a wonderful family. My parents were school teachers as were most of my aunts and uncles, and of course everyone in Nebraska had huge gardens and farm animals! I moved to Texas in the 80's and taught school here until '05. I have been taking some wonderful mission trips for the last few years. I've traveled to Italy, France, Morocco, Spain, Latvia, Germany, Cayman Islands, Belize, Mexico City, and briefly UK. But my FAVORITE place is Israel. I have been there three times.

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I am active in my church...often having ladies' luncheons and an occasional retreat at my house. Because of a Friday morning Grad class this Fall, I am missing my weekly Bible Study group. Boohoo! I go to Christian conferences all over the U.S. and experienced some AMAZING ones in Jerusalem this year. The annual Iris Club Picnic and installation of officers is hosted at my house each May. I love to jog and talk to the Lord. Last year I got the privilege of jogging on the beach in Barcelona! God is SO good! I love baseball, volleyball, Nebraska football (Go Big Red!), snow skiing, hiking, snorkeling, and of course traveling. I like tennis and golf but I'm not great at them. I paint a little, too.

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Right now I study, study, study, and read....oh and write! I feed my dogs in the morning, have breakfast on the patio with my Bible, and listen to a couple of favorite preachers on Daystar or TBN while getting ready for school. I check on my parents usually once a day between classes to see if they need anything. They moved to Texas in the late 80's and live 10 miles from my house. I usually find a nice salad in town and work out at the club before coming home to some happy dogs in the evening. 'A cup of hot cinnamon tea and hit the books or write papers at my computer again. My favorite study break is jogging under the stars and talking to my Lord. Stars fall while I'm worshiping....honestly! He is SO amazing!

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
Wow, what a loaded question! Let's see...I want to write and I'm working on my Master's...only a yr and a half left! Christian counseling is where the Lord is directing me at present. I plan to continue short mission trips, maybe doing more work in orphanages. I'm praying about going back to Israel with Billye Brim's group next June. I really just want to learn and praise and worship and harvest and be about the Lord's business, whether I'm single or not. I might take piano and voice lessons as I LOVE music. Really, the sky is the limit and even THAT is too small a vision for the possibilities the Lord makes available to His children. I'm flexible and mobile and listening for His voice all the time.
