I love Bible study and History and i enjoy learning and sharing with others.
I like to go out and explore areas on my bike, ride in the country, taking in the scenary and a big deep breath of the wonderfully fresh country air.......cough .
I'm sometimes quiet but contemplative. I like to talk intelligently or otherwise & also a good listener. I have come to realise that there are more important things in life than entertainment, whether it be playing worldly games, watching worldly films or listening to worldly music. GOD calls for His people to LIVE IN the world, but NOT BE OF the world.
I see things far more clearly now than ever before because GOD has opened my eyes and unstopped my ears. Satan uses every worldly secular device at his disposal to try and lure us away from Jesus. We need to listen to GOD our Father. He after all loves us and has our best interests at heart.
Revelation 18:4
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
2 Corinthians 6:17
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
2 Corinthians 6:18
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
I used to watch secular TV and films and listen to secular music alot, but these things are tools of corruption, confusion and half truths. They leave impressions on us all and influence the way we think. They do not call what we watch on TV, "programs" for nothing! Now i am very careful what i allow myself to be exposed to.
I thank GOD for making me aware of these things. Enough said i think.
I like ice skating, it's fun, but also a bit tense when you can't stop or get your balance quite right but part of the fun i think. I can remember skating with my kids, a while ago now. I spent most of my time on my back , Ha.
I also like travel and seeing new places, sharing truth. I enjoy raquet sports, reading, cooking and baking.
I like eating out. I enjoy Italian food, Indian and Vegetarian and various others, but i won't eat food that moves or anything that looks like it's about to!
One of the more interesting things I've done, was an adventure week/team building course with work, which was great! It involved ab sailing, climbing, problem solving (like how to get across a drop with a rope, a bucket and a wheel pulley mechanism), canoeing, cave exploration, hiking, rock climbing and being taken out to the middle of nowhere, being left with a compass and map, whereby you have to find your way back(aka orientiering).
I would like to make friends. Also i would like to meet a lady, but i have come to realise that GOD's will is the most important thing and not what we want. Thy will be done Father, on earth as it is in heaven, in Jesus name, Amen.
Psalm 23 is one of my favorite texts.
THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD.....
Where JESUS leads we should follow. As sheep Faithfully follow their Shepherd and Trust in him, so should we Faithfully Trust in Our LORD & Saviour JESUS Christ our Shepherd.
Not only did JESUS come to be the one Eternal Sacrifice for All, that by Him & through Him, All Are Saved, but JESUS also gave us an example of how to live, and how to walk, in Obedience to GOD in Keeping His COMMANDMENTS.
Jesus said:
John 15:9
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
John 15:10
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
Paul says about Jesus:
Hebrews 5: 7
Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
Hebrews 5:8
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
Hebrews 5:9
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Jesus said that we keep the Ten Commandments/the law of GOD out of love. The two great Commandments of love are:
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Matthew 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
GOD'S Word says:
Deuteronomy 6:8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
We should therefore Think accordingly and Act accordingly.
JESUS said:
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
THERE IS A LAW OF GOD THAT NEEDS TO BE KEPT, AND WE KEEP IT BY KEEPING THE TWO GREAT COMMANDMENTS OF LOVE. JESUS SHOWED US THAT LOVE AND WE NEED TO APPLY IT TO OUR WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE WITH HIM, AND BY THAT LOVE OTHERS WILL SEE THE POWER OF GOD AT WORK IN OUR LIVES!
GOD is AMAZING!
