Hi I'm 40 years old and I'm looking for romance and love leading to marriage. I'm a very practical and highly creative person I'm into DIY, photography, art, crafts, films, music, walking, gardening, cooking and reading. I devour books (you can never have too many books!!!) Christian authors that I like are Mike Yaconelli, Dr Neil T Anderson,John O'Donohue, Henri J M Nouwen and John & Stasi Eldredge. I like having company and enjoy entertaining / cooking for my friends and family. I'm a good cook (vegetarian). I need a good balance between socialising and having personal space - I'm a bit of hermit when not working and entertaining. My faith is more on the contemplative Celtic side and is very important to me as I would not have made it this far without God in my life. I'm a born again Christian with spiritual gifts and I do not fit neatly into the labels that Christians apply to faith and I totally break all the stereotypes that Christians have about what women are supposed to be like.
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for someone who has a similar faith outlook and depth of relationship with God that I do. Someone who will see me as God sees me and who knows my name. If you are looking for the answer to who you are in a woman then don't look to me - only God can provide those answers. I am looking for someone who already knows who they are and what their name is. Personal qualities like honesty and integrity are more important to me than looks. Although I do have penchant for ginger haired men - so if you look like David Caruso from CSI Miami and indeed if you are like the character that he portrays then please, please get in touch I am looking for someone whose faith position is that of a truth teller. If you know the name that God gave me then you are the one I'm looking for. I know the name that God gave you.
Favorite television shows:
CSI
Favorite films:
Spagetti westerns
Favorite musicians or bands:

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is more contemplative/Celtic and doesn't fit into a neat box. I'm of the Mike Yaconelli school of wanting a church for those who don't fit into 'traditional churches'. Churches should be a place of safety and where people know you and love you. Unfortunately they are often just 'clubs' much like the rest of the world. My faith is very important to me and the people that know me and love me understand my faith and are not afraid of God.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Isaiah 60: 1-5 was given to me by a good friend a couple of years ago about the next stage in my life and is still inspiring me.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Because a relationship with a non Christian is not going to work.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in the Midlands. I traveled around different parts of the country when I was a child. My favourite places are away from the crowds, remote places. I visited Iona again a couple of years ago after a 30 year gap. It was as tranquil and as beautiful as I had remembered it.
I went to Paris recently and it was very beautiful.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
Relaxing, reading, listening to music, spending time with friends, cooking, entertaining.
At church: communion, being fed with God's word and corporate worship. Encouraging others and being a truth teller.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
On weekdays I get up go to work then I come home and have tea. I then relax or do work on my home. On Saturdays I have a lonnnngggggg lie in (unless I have got to be somewhere/do something). Then I do the necessary stuff like clothes washing & food shopping. Then I either relax on my own or with friends or do DIY on my home or some gardening. Sundays are similar to Saturdays except for going to church.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
Pursuing my relationship with God and those he has brought into my life. Continuing to seek after the truth and to set people free from the bondage of the enemy when ever I can. To continue in my life with the knowledge that God loves me and that it is not wrong to be who I am as this is how God made me and that he has a purpose for my life.
