Of course they should! In fact, God WANTS us to prosper.
If you want to know what a man (or woman) should do to prosper in this life, why not ask the Son of Man?
Here is what Jesus told his disciples, and what he is telling us: "Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you". (John 16:23)
He puts no limit on what we can ask for.
He continues: "Hitherto have you asked nothing in my name: Ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full". (John 16:24)
In speaking of his chosen, Jesus goes on to say:
"I am come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly". (John 10:10)
The message is clear: God DOES want us to prosper! He wants to have no end of financial success.
Now many people will tell you: I've prayed for success and God hasn't answered my prayers; so, that must mean he doesn't want me to be successful.
What does the Bible say? Jesus has said: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you". (Matthew 6:33)
What, then, are we supposed to do? Here is what Jesus says: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" (Luke 6:31) From this we can see that, if we want others to help us succeed, we need to help THEM. This is called the Golden Rule; and for good reason: By helping others, we can help ourselves!
In fact, Christ gives us a formula for success. He says: "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again". (Luke 6:3
As a member of BigChurch.com, I would like to present a real opportunity for Christians to prosper through a career that is focussed on giving. God willing, I will be inviting many members to join my organization.
