This is the part where you try to sell yourself to all those who read profiles. If the pictures dont pull the attention, then the words should do! But mostly I have found that people quickly run through the picture galleries and shoot off to find Miss Barbie Doll...lol...So if thats your gig, then happy hunting! I most certainly am NOT a barbie doll lookalike...but I dont scare babies either...lol. I have a wicked sense of the ridiculous and find humor in the oddest places, so be warned. Any day that goes by without a good laugh is a wasted day.
I am a weekend artist , musician (piano, guitar), songwriter, poet, and find beauty in grand settings as well as in seeing the sun glinting off a coffee cup on the kitchen table. I find the positives in people, even when they are buried deep underneath hardened exteriors. Now dont get me wrong here, tho, foolishness and powertripping wont be tolerated. I have a strong personality, even though it can be tempered by deep affection. A kind word, or compliment can work magic on my powers of judgement...lol
I have a rich and varied spiritual background and feel that a lot of people are wasting half their lives because they have ignored that part of themselves. Not everything in life revolves around materialistic centers. That would make for a very small circle to try to exist in. There is a huge universe of spirituality that has only been explored on the surface. ...lol...but I am reminded of some one who kept asking her husband to share his "deeper thoughts" with her...he responded...This is it! I dont go any"deeper"...lol.
I have been in the UK now for almost 9 years, and have found the people to be wonderfully diverse, swinging from completely open and inviting to extremely repressed and sour. Guess thats just the humanity in us all. I have toured a lot in the country visiting old castles, cathedrals and abbeys; and I adore the ancient feel of places. Market towns, and bustling modern cities and small vilages where nothing much happens except the changing of the traffic light on the corner...reminds me of a small place where I once lived: the "You Are Entering...and You Are Leaving" sign was on the same post!
What I would like to find is a counterpart who is equal to me in outlook on life, sense of humor, integrity, trustworthiness, (yes, like most people I have my share of cracks in the heart department..lol) and someone that I could talk to. Living alone has its drawbacks as well as rewards....one of which is that talking to my plants is good for THEM...but dont know about me!
In any case, if you are looking for someone that has more than just one or two ounces of grey matter, sparklng eyes, and a quick and ready smile, then drop me a line. Who knows...the future still is a blank page...come write something beautiful on it.
