I am a 74 year old retired Baptist pastor who enjoys dialog with just about anyone. I am married and am not looking for anything except some peoople who like to share their thoughts about their Christian lives and anything else thay may appreciate discussing. This PC was given to us as a Christmas present last year and I am enjoying it very much.
My Ideal Person:
Just good Christian friendship and fellowship. Someone who expresses an appreciation for the Christian life in Christ. One who believes the Bible and who desires a closer walk with the Lord.
Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
Converted to the Christian Faith in 1950 by accepting Jesus as my personal Savior. I do feel more grateful as the years go by because God saved me but I have never felt worthy of being saved. I realize I would never have loved God had He not loved me first and that also makes me feel unworthy. But I praise His Name in Christ for loving me as He does.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
I particularly enjoy Romans5:1-2 Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
We greet each other. We talk about when we were saved. Where we were saved what church we attend. What we believe. We go out of our way to be congenial to each other and always be in a friendly attitude. If we disagree we do so agreeably. We always maintain a Christian way about us in our dialog
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
Grew up in St. Louis MO. and Joplin Mo. Traveled many places as my parents were in the carnival business. Quit carnival in 1950 the same year I accepted Christ. I like seeing the Pacific ocean. Lived in Southern California for many years
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
In Church, I like Sunday School. Outside church I like to go out with my wife to eat. She and I also take in a movie.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Read Bible and oray when rising each morning. Love to read nonfiction. Have a large library with about 95% being that of Christian theology in nature
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
To be what God wants me to be. Be used of Him to influence people to desire Christ in their lives.
