Hi, I'm Mary. Yes -- I am a true GRITS (Girl Raised In The South), Georgia born & bred. Most of my friends would characterize me as being totally loyal, funny and intelligent. I am actually a self-described "history nerd" and consider myself fairly well read.
I think I may be one of the few people in the world who can honestly say that they love their job! I'm a court reporter around the north Georgia area, which, of course, is otherwise known as God's Country. Even though I make Georgia my home, I enjoy traveling and have traveled a good bit in the USA & have even traveled some overseas. My best trip I can speak to was getting to go to Israel and tour the Holy Land.
I am a Christian, and my relationship with the Lord is the most important thing in the world to me. As far as hobbies go, I enjoy crafts, reading, "exploring", spending time with friends and going to the movies -- although on a date I'd rather spend time getting to know the person I'm with rather than sitting in a theater!
There's so much more I can share with you, but I'll stop for now.
My Ideal Person:
It's important to me that the man I date/marry is completely dedicated to his journey with the Lord. It's not enough that he just goes to church every once in a while or "believes in God" - my desire is for a man after God's own heart who wants nothing less in any woman he would consider spending his life with.
Favorite television shows:
Survivor, CSI, ER
Favorite films:
Just about any romantic comedy
Favorite musicians or bands:
Steven Curtis Chapman, Wayne Watson, Newsboys, Point

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith has been the rock that has supported me though some incredibly hard times. Knowing that God holds me in the palm of His hand & loves me enough to know the number of hairs on my head comforts my soul. The fact that I am an adopted daughter of the creator of the universe & co-heir with Christ -- it's beyond words.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Both being Christians gives you a stong base to begin any relationship, friends, dating, whatever. You have that commonality right away. You know that this life is not all there is & that we're preparing for eternity. In a dating/marriage relationship, I look forward to God providing someone who wants to be the spiritual head of the household, someone who will be a prayer partner, an encourager, that we can be helpmates to each other.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
Georgia girl, born & bred. Grew up outside of Atlanta, then got some sense & moved out further north.
I've traveled a pretty good bit in the States. I've also been overseas four times now, once to the Holy Land & three times on mission trips with my church to Poland.
I like travelling just about anywhere (hot places, not really so much). I love the beach & just about anything to do with history.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I've been, but am not currently, in the choir at church for years. I taught 1st grade Sunday School for about nine years, but am taking a break from that and working with the bed babies for a little while. As I've said, I've done a couple of mission trips. I've also volunteered in the library at church for several years now & helped it get computerized.
I find myself seaching for a new church home. We've had lots of changes over the last couple of years & it feels like God's preparing me to make a change in where I actually call my church home.
