Boy, did I have a change in mindset! <br><br> I joined BC because of the Magazine, and I found the chat rooms in mid-January 2005. During the next month, I met some real toads but mostly I met some really great people. My faith has deepened and grown because of these online friendships. <br><br> On February 10th, AEPTING contacted me via IM asking me about an acronym in my profile. The rest, as they say, is history. Thank you for the major part you played in helping Alan and myself find each other. Alan asked me to marry him on July 4th and I accepted. We started corresponding regularly, and found out that we shared many convictions and ideas about God. I talked her into meeting me in Prague in August. Neither of us really expected to fall for each other, but we did. We started our very-long-distance dating relationship in September, and I flew to Moscow to visit her in January. This summer she spent two months in Georgia, and we had an amazing time getting to know each other. We've discovered there are many challeneges due to culture and even personality that don't appear when one is writing or talking on the phone. But no matter whether we end up getting married or not, we have had a fantastic year and are incredibly grateful for God having blessed us with each other. Thanks BigChurch! Shon and Jenia | |

It wasn’t until October 2004 that I started corresponding with a certain gentleman from the site. Even though he seemed to know from the beginning that I was the one he had been praying for, it took me a little longer: I was wary. He was extremely consistent, calling the same time every night. We had long conversations and I loved talking with him, but was hesitant about how I felt.. We met in November and while I still wasn't sure yet, I was coming to see that he was truly the kind of person I had prayed for. We continued to talk daily and did not meet again until Christmas Eve 2004. This was the turning point: after that we met every week (he would travel from Pennsylvania every Sunday) and I would go there when I could get time off from work. We continued talking on the phone, often a few time a day, and in May 2005 he asked me to marry him. We’ll be married in September. I couldn’t be happier. After reading through the site, I decided to complete a free profile, and then joined for 3 months. I went through the profiles of women looking for men and came across Pam's profile. I winked at her, she winked back and we started to email each other. One day she asked if I would like to talk on the phone; we exchanged numbers and begin a long distance friendship. On Labor Day weekend Pam was going to be in the area for a visit with her family. We decided to meet for the first time at a park. I told Pam I would be wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. That morning when I was getting ready, I was so nervous that I spilled a whole cup of coffee on my shirt, and had to choose another color. After arriving at the park, I was praying that when Pam drove up and didn't see a man in a red shirt she wouldn't drive off thinking I didn't show up. When I saw Pam drive up, I started to walk towards her with a single red rose in my hand. She got out of the car and started towards me and I knew at that moment that I was in love and that this was the lady I was going to marry. We hit it off great. Pam came home again for 6 days at Christmas time and by that time we had talked about getting married. I joined her and her family for their Christmas and she joined me for Christmas with my family. She was a big hit with my family. Pam and I both feel in our hearts this was a complete God-thing and we were meant to meet that day on BigChurch. Pam and I had looked at rings when she was home for Christmas. We found one she liked and I ordered it, but I told her I had ordered it through my boss from India and it wouldn't be here until April. I flew out on Feb 16th to Fremont for a visit and brought the ring. At 12:01am on Feb 20th I sang Happy Birthday to her and just before the ending I got down on one knee with the ring behind my back. After "Happy birthday to you" I stuck in the words, "Will you marry me?" All she said was, " Oh My God. Oh My God." and I then I yelled, "WELL...will you?" and she said "YES!" I had an awful concept of men in general, and just wanted to get to know some different men. Even though he and I no longer correspond, I feel really lucky to have met him. He really was the first person, I could relate to in a long time. He prayed for me often and encouraged me in my career and spiritual life. He was like a best friend. I fell in love with him. Meeting him has given me hope, that there are Godly men out there. Sometimes we must wait on Gods timing to happen, and God does come through. We were married 5 years and then my husband passed away knowing we love each. He had a blood clot and passed away on June 20, 2001. We both will never forget what we had. When I was hit, I bounced off a small tree, which shot me into light pole which I wrapped around like baseball glove. I bounced off that and hit brick wall full body slam.when the police found me my lungs had collapsed and filled with my own blood they poke a hole in my neck so could breathe, I was still trying to get up.I was in shock and could feel know pain.I laid there with blood coming out of my eyes, my nose, my ears, and my mouth my leg was broken in three different areas .compound fractures.My hip was was broken. When the ambulance got there, they transfered me to the hosipital.They couldn't operate on me without my mothers permission.I was in the miliary but still under age.I enlisted when I was 16 years old with my mothers permission. I was dieding at first they couldn't find mother, so they called my mothers house my older brother answered the phone, they told him I was in bad accident and lost both my legs. they finally found my mother they flew to long beach. where she gave permission to amputate my left leg. gaingreen had set in and they couldn't while operating I died three times on the operating table.I looked death in his eyes.my My God brought me back, i liad in a coma for 6 1/2 months. I came out of my coma and was confined to wheelchair for 3 years.they did and operation hit a nerve in my ear I was able to walk again.see God stuck by me even in death, pain, and misery, he showed how to live again threw his mercy and divine power.prayer and understanding, god shows mercy Believe and he will heal you it doesn't come in your time, only in god time.God taught how walk again.I will live in the house of the lord forever.He is my personal savior Thank you JESUS amen. |

I am still waiting for him to put me where he wants me 2/b (church). Determined to stay in the word of God I continued 2 read my Bible and pray to him after a while it started getting real hard for me to do. I think it's true when you are out of church for an amount of time Satan begins to think he has. Why did i leave church in the first place??? I was not receiving the guidance i needed. I was ready to move forward in the Lord. embrace the Holy Spirit when it comes and not rebuke it! (due 2 a scheduled church service). Though we should always be on God’s time, i feel when we enter into his house we should really be on his time, and not a church program. I have met some real God sent people through BC, they have really made a difference in my life through ministry and prayer. I am not physically in church every Sunday or through the week, but i am networking with men and women of God to make sure this website stays about God! Coming from a not finacially sound home, things was tough in terms of materials to read let alone what to spend on food and other goods.As has always been in my academic life right from my elementay level I had to strain to finish I just had to face a more terrible one because a fail in even one out of my seven papers could deter me from going ahead with education.Prayers had to be the only means for survival.I managed to study hard, went with vigor and confindent and with God's backing I made the best of grades. I am cureently in my second year at the university.Things have not completely changed but I believe by God's grace I will come out of this level too with great succes... our God is able! | |

So after much tears and prayer I truly felt the Lord's power upon me. I had this peace come over me that surpassed my understanding. Well the next day I checked my emails at BigChurch. I received a contact from TucsonNative. I looked at his picture and this is going to sound really weird but I felt as though God whispered in my ear and said "This is the one" I replied to TucsonNative and we had an instant spiritual connection that God had everything to do with. We emailed each other for 2 weeks before meeting. On our first date I met him at my friend’s house. I was feeling still a little freaked out about meeting someone from the internet. Well he got to my friend's house first and then I arrived. I knocked at my friend’s door and someone in her house opened the door and quickly disappeared. I couldn't see anyone. All I could hear was the sound of my heels as I walked slowly on the tile looking for my date and as I turned the corner to the kitchen there he was with a rose in his hand. I looked right into his blue eyes and I was blown away. Wow! He is so handsome, I thought. Well to make a long story short we had an awesome date. Well we couldn't get enough of each other after our first meeting. We continued to email each other and go out on many dates. He asked me to marry him on September 8…of course I accepted. We married October 22, 2004. Words cannot express how blessed I am and how much in love I am with this man. I am so thankful that the Lord used your site to do His will in my life.  | JavaGirlTC said My 23-year marriage ended in divorce. At 43 years of age I wondered if I would even be able to find someone special. I longed for a Godly husband and it seemed that I kept getting hit on by octogenerians or guys interested in sex. I attended singles' Bible studies and other single events and it just seemed that the women were there looking for husbands and the men were hurting from broken relationships and didn't want any new ones. I began to get discouraged. I prayed that God would send me a Godly husband FAST! Every once in a while when I logged on to check my email, an ad for BigChurch would pop up. One day I had a strong impression to click on it and join. I thought, "What the heck, I can spring 20-bucks for one month just to see what happens." The very next day I had three emails from three great guys who seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. It was important to me to find someone who was strong in their Christian faith. These three men had exactly that, plus more! One of the guys, Greg, was looking for a wife who had a heart for the Lord. He had only a few days left on his BigChurch membership and he wasn't planning on renewing. The timing of our meeting was pretty amazing. We began to correspond daily by email and by phone. I was living in the West and he lived in the Midwest. One week after "meeting" on BigChurch he asked me to marry him! He flew me out to his city and put me up in a hotel. We spent five days together. I attended his church where he played guitar on the worship team and we went to lunch with his pastor. Three weeks later Greg flew out west and met my kids. It was only a couple weeks later that he moved my kids and me to the Midwest. Exactly three months to the day after meeting on BigChurch we were married! An odd thing is that after we met, the ads for BigChurch stopped appearing on my screen! Greg and I finding each other has been an answer to prayer for both of us. This all seemed to happen so fast and in such an unusual way. It was a little scary initially---meeting someone on-line, because you can never know if the person really is who they claim to be. But then again, even people you meet in person can misrepresent themselves. All I can say is be prayerful, be careful, and allow God to bring about a miracle for you. I know He did just that for Greg and I through BigChurch. |

 | rebornlady said After the divorce, I though it would be easy to marry again. Then, the reality showed me that it was not going to be so easy. It was different then, as I was not leaving my parents to live our own life. When marrying for the second time, I was inviting someone to join to my existing family, and this meant I had to be very wise! Here in bigchurch I had opportunity to make many friends and meet some of them, a great experience. When I first wrote to Otto, it was because I could see he speaks Portuguese among other languages. I never thought he would be my husband! But, as he had a daughter as old as my daughter and a son as old as my son, I knew he was able to see my children as his own children. Therefore, I decided we could be friends. We talked so many times on the phone, for long hours, and after 4 months he decided to visit me. Then I was sure he was the person I would like to have as my husband. After that meeting, we decided to pray and see if the Lord had plans for us together. For other four months we prayed and I did a fast every Saturday, and this time we had to pray without contact was very important. I wanted God to show me what I could not see. I did not only wanted the ideal person for me, but also I wanted to be the ideal person for him. Then, the day came when we could talk and we were sure about the guidance of the Lord. We got married 7 months later and it is wonderful to see how God has blessed our two families, now only one. And we know it is only the beginning of much more He has for us. I want to encourage people to keep seeking the face of the Lord while waiting for the soul mate. God really cares and He knows who is the best for you and also who needs you as you are. And if you ask Him, He will put both of you together. I wish I could express into words how happy we are! God bless you all! |

I loved him like never before him, my love to him was without limit ! We needed to separate ourseves because he is living in USA… In July, his second visit was a Hell ! He was completely different, selfish, liar.. And several days ago, I discovered on my own computer a letter he wrote to his mistress when I was at work. I had a chock! a big pain! I really thought a man knows so good the Scriptures, go at Church every Sunday, read Bible and pry every day make this bad thing! I don’ t understand! I know, we need waiting be married to sleep in the same bed, but I sincerely believed his is sent by Christ. In my heart he was my husband! No, I’m not mad! I had a strange dream in 2000 : I met my husband, his name begin with a K, his has lost a part of his hear, he doesn’t speak French… so when I sent my wink, I only saw him with a base ball cap, and I don’t see his name.. In an other side I almost forgot this dream.. I’m living in a Country where speak about religion or paranormal is not easy. Most of my friends and neighbors don’t believe in God. Is it possible Jesus answers our personal questions and help us to build a new marriage? I don’t understand anything and I hope somebody somewhere will help me and bring me a support. Although I am not married yet that is ok I have met some wonderful Christian people who have added much to my life. One of the first friends I met lived in CA and I was in Texas. I contacted him but not as a potential mate. He said in his profile that he worked in the ministry and also did some counseling. I had a couple of questions I wanted his opinon on so I wrote. Long story short...we became the very best of friends. That has been about 7 years ago and he is still my best friend. He met someone else online and got married. It all went pretty fast for him and I am sorry to say it didn't work out. We are still best of friends. I guess my point is....life happens sometimes good and sometimes not so good. We became engaged in March, when I travelled from Australia to Ohio to meet her. We had emailed each other for over a year, after I read her profile, and thought what an interesting lady.... and I wasn't disappointed. We thank God for putting us into the life of the other. He certainly knew what we needed and our situations, and he worked through them, with us, until we knew we were meant to be. Now we face the rest of our lives together, knowing we are with the one that God has specially selected for us. I liked the idea of being a favorite, based only on what I had written, so I emailed this person, and now we are good friends. It is as if the Lord has His Hand in it when you are chosen by or choose someone special. My friend is really special to me, and there is so much potential for a stronger relationship to God and with each other that the beauty of it brings tears to my eyes. I am going to see him in about six weeks, and we are very excited to finally meet.
