When should you start making your child attentive to the numbr of calories, fat grams, etc. in food? What do you think about this? My ex-husband and his wife think that telling my 10 year old daughter to start looking at the calories on products is the best way to have her watch her weight. When or should a child (especially a girl)? She goes for her doctors visits and she is in the correct percentile for her age. She is very active in cheerleading and softball and engaged in regular play be concerned about the calories in food? I agree they need to eat healthy but I don't feel that they should start watching calories and fat grams, etc. I feel that it should be explained that Oreo cookies are not good for you before you go to bed because it is not good for your teeth, it has no nutritional value at that time. They are for afternoon snacks. Please let me know your thoughts.Linked to Group 262
