WELCOME to my Blog!

Intro -- Embarking on a new journey

I am tired of acting "normal", but not being accepted anyway.

I might as well "play" the fool. And such I may be.

My Blogs from here on out will probably be a little--strange, lol.

Or a lot strange, my forte.

GOSSIPERs on BC ruining reputations

Thank you to all the fair and even-handed people on BC. I appreciate your integrity.

Now, about the gossipers.

It has come to my attention that some of the people who have viewed some my Blog posts have been emailing things to people about me behind my back, things that are not flattering and that are not even true, and other things that may not be true (though I don't know enough details yet ).

This has happened before. I knew, because someone had the decency to tell me! (But I didn't ask their identities.) I hoped it would just stop.

But I now think it's been going on for maybe a year or more.

I don't know what to do.

All I know is that these people, mostly women (who probably don't even really know me ), are deliberately saying things behind my back, ruining my already colorful (or colored ) reputation.

I do not believe that they will stop.

I believe that this may have been predicated by someone whose profile is no longer on the site, who definitely told lies and half-truths about me to others. (I read them myself, but was advised by someone to not comment. My mistake.) I emailed her about it, but to no avail. She refused to reconcile with me, and refused to retract her statements, and then asked to cut off communication, which I respected and did.

I want this to stop. I imagine that this has been done to others too. Such behavior MUST stop. These people are doing wrong in the name of right.

Other than pray about it, What can I do?

Also, what can you tell me about this that you know, or have read, or have heard?

You should be able to email me about this here on BC.

Please pray about these people, and the lies. Thank you.

And please pray about my feelings. I don't know how to deal with such things. All I know is, it hurts.

I may be looking for a HOUSE, though I can't really afford it. Other matters. Mar 2, 2008 10:34 am

I may be looking for a HOUSE, though I can't really afford it. Other matters.

If you will, Pray for me that I find something suitable.

I may also be wanting or needing to relocate, even possibly to another state, or country even. I haven't decided, and don't know where.

If you will, Pray that I will know where.

I have a huge amount of stuff, and don't know where to put it. Most of it is currently in storage.

Also, I am still dealing with things from my dad dying. Pray my sister and I will get along.

I may need to find more than one attorney, though I don't know that I can really afford it. Pray I find the right one(s).

Lawsuits are still looming. Pray I will be victorious.

Thank you for caring! and for your prayers in the Spirit!

Are you listening to FAT PREACHERS who lack self-control in areas of eating in a serious way? Mar 2, 2008 5:51 am

Are you listening to FAT PREACHERS who lack self-control in areas of eating in a serious way? *1*

BEFORE commenting, please read to the end of this post here. Thank you. (The word "fat" here is not intended as an insult.)

Updated 3/4/2008, ~5:07AM (rearranged & reworded for clarity; verses added ). 3/3/2008, 3/2/2008.

For those who think this topic is too little of a thing to be concerned about--
  • The one "... who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much." Luke 16: 10 NASB. Much, that is, in bigger things.

Plus, this is one of the areas that we are TOLD to be concerned about:

    Philippians 3: 17-19 (20-21 )
  • 17 Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. 18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame--who set their mind on earthly things.

FIRST AND FOREMOST, I am speaking here in this Blog post ONLY of LEADERS in offices in the Church proper, or in places that call themselves churches, NOT of lay members of the Church, that is, not of regular, everyday members, but ONLY of those who should be a leading example for the rest.

This post also does NOT address those with just glandular or biological problems beyond their control, of which there may be a few cases among leaders.

This post does NOT imply that God cannot somehow use someone to speak to others because of a lack of self-control in eating. But there is more to say than that.

And, This post IS in reference to those in positions in the Church who are
"promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved / for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him".
    --2Peter 2: 19 NASB + NIV

The Church offices I am referring to are: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors (Gr. shepherds ), and teachers of the Church.

TO BE CLEAR, this is NOT about people focusing on the fat itself, it is the about praying about the possibility that their belly is being their god, as Paul strongly warns us against.

Disclaimer--No, I am not a "preacher," etc, or a medical doctor.

The Bible says that by their fruits you will know them, real followers of Christ, real leaders.

Self-control is listed as PART of the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5: 23 (22-25 ).

Scripture says that those who are called teachers (etc.) have a stricter judgment, which means a strict standard to follow.

In the last days (in any day ), people will be lovers of their own selves, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.

But Self-control is to be the hallmark of a Christian leader's life.

If you have listened to a questionable preacher, consider why, and whether you should continue. Possibly inquire as to the nature of the problem.

Know that one can only gain such weight from food and drink, from eating and drinking, repeatedly.*2*

In this area, the fruit of self-control -- and certainly there are all the other areas to which it applies -- is only one of the many ways we can usually, apparently tell whether there are issues with leaders or not. Gluttony is only one sin. However, notice that "He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much." Luke 16: 10 NASB.

But, in an effort to be "sensitive" to the needs of others around us, many simply will not speak to this issue.

Though I do not claim to be anything in particular, I have spoken up, and I hope that people will not look to me, but to YHWH elohim and to the Living Word, and will consider whether those who feed them the Scriptures are truly called, set apart, and currently anointed for their position in representing the Holiness of Christ and the Power of the Spirit.

For "the Kingdom... does not consist of words, but of Power".

Wherever you go, and whomever you listen to, be like Paul the Apostle who said that he "determined to know nothing among" them except "Jesus Christ / Yahshua Messiah and Him crucified".

And that "Those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the passions and desires / passions and lusts." --Galatians 5: 24.

Follow the Faith and examples of those who have denied themselves, taken up their crosses, and follow Him in such a calling.

If certain have repented, and have brought their eating under strict control, Hallelu-Yah.

But, still pray about whether you should be influenced by their guidance, as Scripture clearly teaches that there will be those who APPEAR Godly, and even SOUND Godly, and will offer freedom to others, while they themselves are slaves of the corruption that comes from sowing to the flesh.

Please don't bash me for stating this straight. I am NOT referring to or attacking those believers or unbelievers who are overcoming or making strides to overcome in these areas. I am only addressing supposed church LEADERS listed who are NOT a good witness to the Power of Messiah and to the Grace that Scripture says will set a person free. Romans 6: 14, and others.

Please BE SENSITIVE to the REST of the people, non-leaders, who struggle with food and drink, self-control, and with reputation and image issues that may accompany biological problems beyond their physical control.

Eating and drinking does not commend or recommend us to God. But we should not let others' temptations in eating become our own. And realize and remember that Scripture indicates that eating and drinking ARE important issues (Romans 14 ).

And, "Whether you eat, drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God". "All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of anything".

For those who will choose to eat right, by the grace of elohim, know that Scripture had an original food regimen for all, beginning in the first few chapters of Genesis. Consider and pray about this healthy, vegetarian or vegan food regimen. (BEFORE beginning full-on, read up on it, and consult your physician.) Drink lots of pure water throughout the day. (Water, not necessarily all those other drinks possible.) And of course, get enough rest.*3*

SAFE exercising and stretching can be good too.

It is said that to live like a NT Christian, people need to have the Holy Spirit, and then allow themselves to Be led by the Spirit, and to "walk in the Spirit". This applies even to the things people do and do not eat and drink.

In all this, remember that "God... richly provides us with everything to enjoy." 1Tim. 6: 17b. So--

    Enjoy!

"The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God.
Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.
But he who doubts is condemned if he eats,
    because {his eating is} not from faith;
and whatever is not from faith is sin.
    --Romans 14: 22-23 NASB.

Lastly (though there's significantly more in certain of my follow-up comments below this main post)--

Remember what the Apostle had to say:

    Philippians 3: 18-19
"18 For many walk {{who}}... are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame--who set their mind on earthly things.

    Galatians 5: 24
Those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the passions and desires / passions and lusts.

    Spread the Word.

    ---
*1* I do NOT use the word PREACHER here to refer to just any person who preaches! I use the word PREACHER here to represent any person in a Church "office". I hope that Christians here will understand that. Non-Christians clearly do, as many of them use it in a similar way. The word PREACHER is used in this way in our society as a word that refers to ANY kind of leader in a Church or religious assembly. This Blog Post makes this usage of the word PREACHER clear.
    *2* Unless fed intravenously, etc.
*3* Please, Read Romans 14 and then Genesis 1: 26-31, our original food regimen, perhaps until the Flood wiped nearly everything out on Earth for a number of years (semi-related: 2: 8-9, 15-16ff.); also, Isaiah 65: 25. More about food regimen -- not necessarily dieting -- in my follow-up comments below.

    Perverts on Big Church BigChurch

There must be a certain number of guys on BigChurch that are just trying to trash the site. I mean, I keep reading women's comments about guys talking dirty, crude, etc.

Women, there are creeps everywhere. So, just report them, tell them you are not interested in no uncertain terms, and maybe--if you think you're led--"shout it on the housetops" as it were. Didn't Jesus teach something like that regarding certain sins? It might just scare the jerks away, or at least warn others about them. (But be careful what you say, and be accurate.)

Don't let such people ruin your whole online experience.

On the other hand, if there is any doubt as to what was meant, clarify first. I myself wrote a few things that were completely misconstrued primarily because people read too fast, and not carefully. Yahshua said to Be careful how you listen, and that goes for reading as well. "Love believes all things...".

Did Jesus die for EVERYONE? Jan 26, 2008 3:02 am
    801 Views

    Did Jesus die for EVERYONE?

There are people teaching that the Messiah (or, Christ) didn't die for everyone, only for the chosen (elect) or predestined.

"But we see Jesus*, Who was 'made a little lower than the angels', for the suffering of death, 'crowned' 'with glory and honor', that He by the grace of God should taste death for all**."
    – Hebrews 2:9, referencing a prophecy from Psalm 8:5.

The following versions agree with this rendering conceptually: KJV, NKJV, NLT, NIV, ESV, NASB, RSV, ASV, Young, Webster, HNV. Although several of those say might instead of should.

What do you think, believe, or know? (Please specify which. Thanks.)

    No personal attacks here please.

    ___

    * Actually, more like Iesous (Greek), Iesus, Iesu, Yesu; but from Aramaic/Hebrew, something like Y'shua or maybe closer: Yahshua = "Yah is salvation" (or maybe "Yah saves"), Strong's Greek number 2424; compare Matthew 1:21. Btw, Hallelujah or Hallelu-Yah, means Praise Yah.
** Greek: uper pantos (actually, the other s; using English letters: (h)uper pantos) (5228 & 3956); root, pas.

By the GRACE of elohim, Yahshua the Messiah really did taste death for everyone. (Feel free to elaborate.)
Yahshua the Messiah only potentially tasted death for all. (Refute Heb. 2:9; then show Bible vss. that specifically say this.)
Yahshua the Messiah only died for some, not potentially for anyone. (Refute Heb 2:9; then show vss. that specifically say this.)
I believe He is Messiah (or Christ), and a sacrifice for sins, but I don't know or have faith about this.
Though I am not a believer in Him as a sacrifice for sins, I believe He was Messiah (or Christ). (Please explain.)
I am not a believer in Him as Messiah (or Christ).
