 | WELCOME to my Blog!
Intro -- Embarking on a new journey
I am tired of acting "normal", but not being accepted anyway.
I might as well "play" the fool. And such I may be.
My Blogs from here on out will probably be a little--strange, lol.
Or a lot strange, my forte.

THIS LIST HERE is MOVIES SEEN 2007 UPDATE ONLY.

Spoilers? Well, how much of a movie can you describe without spoiling the plot or some anticipation for the film? I try to avoid it when I can. If you feel I "spoiled" something, more than the previews would, email me, and YHWH-permitting, I may consider removing or changing it. Thank you!
UPDATE ONLY
300 (R) ## Gerard Butler, Lena Headey, Dominic West, David Wenham, Vincent Regan Action/Adventure, Drama, Romance 3/9/2007. 1 hr. 57 min. {Very violent. Lots of blood and flying, dropping body parts, dead bodies. Starts off with the seemingly moral and ethical king of Sparta slaying messengers from Persia, which to me was an act of murder. There's a bribe/blackmail/near-rape type of scene. Yuck, yuck, and triple yuck. I am practically sorry I paid to go see this. I don't see watching it again in my future. Other than that, much of it was fairly well-made. Too bad the "evil laugh" and camera focus on a man's eyes were together so embarrassingly stupid. I'm glad I went alone. The theme, "Remember us" has got me thinking that what I may remember is the stupidity of a policy and mentality that never allows for retreat, or for that matter, surrender (although the latter would depend on the "enemy" ). Elsewhere I complained that Mel Gibson's Apocalypto was too graphic. Then I see this.} {Saw 10:00PM, Su. 3/11/2007.}
Breach (PG-13) ##-##.5 Chris Cooper, Ryan Phillippe, Laura Linney, Dennis Haysbert, Gary Cole, Caroline Dhavernas Action/Adventure, Suspense/Thriller 2/16/2007. 1 hr. 50 min. {The attempt to trap a supposed spy in what they call the "worst" international security breach in this country is told in this movie. For all that, we see very little action, and very little spy activity. Most of it is an attempt to explore the reading of the outer actions of the man suspected of spying. The film works somewhat, but it runs slowly. There is some suspense, but it is not thriller; and calling it action/adventure would be pushing it. The film ENDS on a sour note, as we find out that some person of note is not only in prison, but is being continually kept in solitary confinement, 23 hours out of 24 in the day. Isn't there some International law or national law against such treatment of prisoners? Moreover, it begs the question: WHY? Was the person in prison maybe not really as guilty as we are led to believe? Makes me want to go visit just to find out. (About 40 minutes after this, I saw Bridge to Terabithia.)} {Saw 5:00PM, Sa. 3/3/2007.}
Bridge to Terabithia (PG) ##-##.5 Josh Hutcherson, AnnaSophia Robb, Robert Patrick, Zooey Deschanel Action/Adventure, Drama, Family, Sci-Fi/Fantasy 2/16/2007. 1 hr. 35 min. {Loss throughout the first parts of the movie, and then a death of a major character, permeate this movie. If you plan to take a child under maybe the age of 13 or 14, or even at that age or above, I suggest you read about this, and pray about preparing your child. The death comes out of nowhere, and affects the rest of the movie. Terabithia is mostly imagined throughout the film, and we don't actually get to see much of it at all, except for a few animated creatures and scenes, until the last few minutes of the movie. One wonders whether Disney was trying their hand at making a film using a budget of an inexpensive independent film. If they spent more than a few hundred thousand, or maybe a million or two--in addition to what they paid the actors--I would ask why. The boy's reticence to really get into the imagining tends to drag the film down, though the nearly insufferable cheeriness of the girl is constant. In fact, her amazing Heidi-like/Annie-like exuberance makes you wonder how she could have been so "friendless" at previous schools, when her dad tells it to someone. She's incredibly friendly. It's unlikely, if not impossible, that she was so friendless. On the other hand, when there are adults like that, they tend to drive others away, and can be a catalyst for people thinking they are shallow, or what is wrong with them that they're so gleeful. On the other hand, I WISH people were more like her, in those respects, though her imagination runs wild, and contributes to nearly knocking the boy off balance mentally, late in the film. I LIKE movies with a point to them; but I am not sure what the point of this movie is: maybe a preparation for children for life's occasional meanness and losses that can come without any warning. Certain of the losses in this movie are not small ones, though while some of the people are "poor" monetarily--or so they try to lead us to believe--they're not having to live in abject poverty or starvation, like so much of the world supposedly is. However, being poor, sadly some people in the movie treat them as lesser people. I appreciate an attempt to address such concerns; but the failings or distractions in this movie were too much for me to really appreciate it much, as mean-spirited children continue to bully from start practically to finish, and none of the other children have the sense to bring adults into it to help stop it. But then, neither did I when I was in Grade School. PEOPLE, teach your children well to stand up for others, for the oppressed, and teach them how to go about that while not coming under attack themselves. Teach them how to band together (without becoming a gang or become bullying in mentality themselves. It's amazing what people will do in a group that they would not do alone.) If we do not have the Wisdom for all that, at least prepare them for the eventual evil treatment, lest they be taken by surprise, and feel crushed and depressed, having had little to no emotional and mental preparation. Prepare them for the onslaught of adolescence as well. It can really help to know: "Do not wake up love, until the right moment". Children need constant preparation as they enter their teen years. Give it to them. Talk with them. And let them know you are really listening. (Saw Breach about 40 minutes before this.)} {Saw 7:30PM, Sa. 3/3/2007.}
The Majestic (PG) (On DVD.) ##.5 Jim Carrey, Martin Landau, Bob Balaban, Gerry Black, Brent Briscoe, Karl Bury Drama, Period Film, Americana 12/21/2001. 2 hr. 32 min. {Well, what can I say. It was corny, but nice. I like a movie with a message though, usually, and this tried to teach one. I don't really want to ruin it for anyone by making obnoxious comments, so I'll state that some people have supposedly thought it was Jim Carrey's finest performance. Well, as far as the movies I've seen him in, it's one of his few "dramatic" performances, and maybe the only one I've seen where he isn't acting goofy; only, he still seems to come off goofy in this film. (But maybe that's me.) Maybe somebody could give this guy anti-goofy lessons. I have a hard time taking him seriously because of the movies I've seen him in: The Mask (I liked ); Dumb and Dumber (or the other one ); The Grinch (so-so ); Liar, Liar (funny ); The Truman Show ("That's amazing", but, still goofy ). SO, my mind had a hard time adjusting to him in DRAMA. Slightly goofy drama, but drama nonetheless. I kinda of liked it, although I think I identified with the main character a little too much at points. LOL. If you "lost" your memory, then were to get it back after some time (even years maybe ), during which you started up a whole new life, would you choose the current life or the old one? And what does this have to do with the Matrix anyway? LOL.} {Saw 1 or 2 or 3?/2007.}
The Number 23 (R) ##.5-## Jim Carrey, Virginia Madsen, Logan Lerman, Danny Huston Suspense/Thriller 2/23/2007. 1 hr. 35 min. {What can I say? It was interesting. It's not really a "horror" flick. Jim Carrey is getting better at drama, I think; but he still gives me the goofies. LOL.} {Saw 8:00PM, Su. 3/11/2007.}
Premonition (PG-13) ##.5-## Sandra Bullock, Julian McMahon, Nia Long, Kate Nelligan, Amber Valletta, Peter Stormare Drama, Suspense/Thriller 3/16/2007. 1 hr. 50 min. {Woman, married with two daughters, finds herself living out the days of a week of her husband's death in jumbled time order. Through it she remembers what occurs on each day. And looks for ways to face whether there is anything she can do about it, whether there is any way she can stop her husband from being killed, and whether she even really wants to stop it. Cool time-travel-based idea; but didn't do a lot for me. Maybe it was partly because of the people behind us, and the guy there that just wouldn't quit coughing. What is it with people putting up their shoes on theater seats anyway? Not cool.} {Saw 10:35PM, Fri. 3/16/2007.}

In what WAYS do you BELIEVE? PART 1.

(Note! If you commented here already, before 4/17/2007, part of this was missing! I didn't notice this until 4/18. Sorry. More info at the bottom of this Post here.)
In what WAYS do you BELIEVE? PART 1. A quick excursion into some of the ways and foundations of belief.
EDITED 4/18/2007 and 3/17/2007 (mostly for clarity, and transitions between topics ). On 4/18/2007 part of this Post was moved into Part 2, which before today was unposted. (SEE the end of this Part 1 for more info.) title changed to "WAYS" plural on 4/18. First posted 3/14/2007.
We Human Beings are superstitious by nature. We also tend to be trusting.
This trusting mentality started at youth when we were but infants in the care of those who raised us. We didn't even think of whether we trusted them or not. Once we became aware of authority, we either trusted or challenged it. And some of the time we partly (or completely ) complied.
We were captivated, fascinated, delighted, absorbed, and gripped by the new sights and sounds and feelings and smells and tastes around us.
As we grow older, the intrigue wears off, but still we can be any or all of those things; but, as the mind grows in its various awarenesses, we can also be attracted, charmed, enchanted, bewitched, beguiled, entranced, ensnared, engrossed, riveted, transfixed, hypnotized, mesmerized, spellbound.
If we allow ourselves to be pleased by the taboo, we could get into so many disastrous, evil, or wicked things.
Being so easily attracted to things, we can become suckers for almost anything.
Then beliefs come in. They come in from all directions and all kinds of sources.
Some beliefs we may develop on our own, and think that they are our own.
Faith--or the ability to believe--seems to be a given. We each have some potential for that. Then, other beliefs come in in the form of doubts. Doubts actually become beliefs. Cynicism or skepticism come in, and form into belief systems of their own.
So, what was imparted to us--by parents, trusted authorities, and other family and trusted family friends, even by God perhaps--becomes questioned, challenged, doubted. Instead, it COULD have been tested, and proved, or disproved, but that rarely happens. It is so much easier to give into superficial reasonings and thoughts. Rarely do we take the time--hours, days, months, years--to really look at and look into areas of belief. So, out of time constraints and convenience, we give in to whatever forces are more powerful in our lives.
These powers in and around us will change over time.
OUTSIDE OF US.
At first, only our parents may be influencing us. Their words, attitudes, tones of voice, feelings and emotions, and their behaviors and examples paint a picture of humanity of the world for us.
As we grow older, other children, caregivers, instructors, neighbors, and others influence us. And for us, the world and what is experienced by people, expands our ways of thinking.
INSIDE OF US.
Then we approach a more thinking, reasoning age, and we begin to wonder if this or that is true, and what is and what is not important.
Adolescence comes on many of us like the onslaught of an enemy. If we have been wisely prepared, then we know about the inner workings of our bodies that cause things to grow that had never grown before, and that cause hormones--"body drugs"--to course through our veins, and beguile us.
If we have not been wisely prepared, or have been underprepared--which is likely the case--we are hit by body drugs that confuse and bemuse us.
New desires and motives that we may never have had before may become a part of our thought processes.
We may see the genders differently than before.
And what was innocent childhood is now presented with new temptations and considerations--to use or to love others, in ways we had not been tempted or inspired to before.
We may question the foundations of who we are--our families, our country, our religious upbringing, our "own" beliefs (if any ). And we may explore further and faster, as a hunger and thirst for knowledge and understanding drives us.
But Wisdom may elude us, if we search foolishly.
BEYOND SELF.
As we move beyond the simple self-centered, we may become more selfless, or more selfish.
We may move into new areas, those of consideration, of feeling others' feelings, seeing others' thoughts, experiencing newer, higher, deeper, wider levels of expression and experience, of empathy and pathos, of patience and perseverance. Our childlike love grows, or is tainted, contaminated, depending on our choices.
We may be driven to various types of love. And such--like a madness--can be more like an obsession, a compulsion, something for which we may pine and long, and for which we may even wish to die.
It is at this time in adolescence that we are so formative and willing to give--in love and in marriage--but in our country, adolescents are often so much children who have not grown in understanding and have not been thoroughly prepared for these new experiences, and have often had very little experience with anything related to actual life experiences outside of school, and maybe some chores! (In several other countries outside of the USA, it is not this way.)
Also, we have little or no social process for our teenage young adults to move toward marrying a mate.
So, instead of allowing our young adults to marry, their love is stifled, even minimized--though many would die for it! And many have!
Many young adults have committed suicide--teenage suicide in this country today is a major cause of death--primarily because they lost hope, and were allowed to fall into love without fully being taught to "NOT let love wake up" until the proper time!! They were not fully imbued with constant reminders to guard their hearts, because THAT is where life flows from, or is stopped flowing from. And as they move into their 20s, the loves and much of the willingness to love, "go away".
Today in the U.S., there is often little organized process that involves parents and other caring adults to help young adults find and get to know someone for marriage.
With incredibly little preparation, they are thrown out into the world to figure out how to maybe find the right person, while finding so many that are wrong.
And through this, CAN THEY BELIEVE?
Is not their heart damaged and rendered less and less capable of Love?
Most have not been fully taught, and have not fully learned, what and where and with Whom the real source or sources of acceptance lie.
And most people want acceptance.
No, many CRAVE it!
So, with this in heart, CAN WE BELIEVE?
Will not our focus on such areas--becoming for many something like an obsession--drive us to not focus on what we may want to really pursue?
"How can you believe who receive honor/acceptance from one another...?"
Our focus on such things takes away our very ABILITY to focus on other areas. And more than this, as "believers", it takes away our focus from the One, and places it on other things or people, or, really, typically, on ourselves (OUR loves, our feelings, our desires, our experiences ).
"How can you believe who receive honor/acceptance from one another, and are not seeking that honor/acceptance that comes from God only?" -- John 5: 44.
In the Bible, it states that Faith is a gift given in a certain MEASURE. Faith is more than that, but that is where it begins. Even at conception and birth.
I believe that Faith can also be developed, and a greater amount in a particular area permitted and encouraged.
We are not stuck with what was give to us at birth! We can have and grow into more! One can grow "from faith to faith".
Saying "I believe. Help my unbelief" was not a poor request!
Saying "Increase our Faith" was not a bad request!
As far as Faith in Yahshua of Nazareth goes, and specifically in YHWH elohim--as opposed to just "God" or just elohim--Scripture says that "Faith comes by HEARING" and hearing comes "by the spoken Word".
This WASN'T what I was going to talk about! But as I go into one topic, another melts away into a meld of forgetfulness! LOL.
Shifting gears.
Do you know that you can believe just about anything? I mean, look around you! LOL. Practically no two people believe alike. They can be likeminded in many areas, but there may always be differences, even larger ones, unexplored.
But let me ask, are you aware of how EASILY you can believe something (including your doubts )?
Again, remember, Human Beings are superstitious by NATURE. It is IN our nature! Something happens, and what do people say? Oh, it was fate, God, destiny, angels, luck, demons. But how about "chance"?
"Time and chance happens to them all", Ecclesiastes says. A Theology that says God is "in control of" everything is treading on heretical ground because if you take it too far, you're blaming God for "controlling" and being responsible for all the sin and evil and wickedness and yuck that others do. But there is no verse that demands we believe this. He may hold "all things together by the Word of His Power", but that does not clearly imply He has a hand in every act and thought. Truly, in addition to God's unchangeable Will, and His changeable Will, and His desire--some of which may not be fulfilled, as He desires all people to be saved--in addition to all that, there is "chance" as the Bible says. God may work "all things together for Good"--for those who are LOVING God and who are The Called according to His Purpose! (Romans 8 )--but He is working all BAD things as well! And on top of bad things, He is working those things that occurred by chance.
So, when something occurs, was it GOD'S plan? Was it God's fault?? LOL. Should He be praised when some nice thing happens? Should He be at least thanked when something bad happens? (Not only does it say "give thanks IN all things", versions actually say in another passage to give thanks FOR all things!) Should we believe that He allowed those things, or even DID those things? that He even PLANNED them to happen to us? Well, were we LOVING Him? For the promise mentioned earlier is for those actively Loving Him. Were we obeying Him? For 1 John says that the "Love of God is to keep His Commands..." ungrudgingly. Were we "called according to Purpose" {{ / a Purpose??}}?
And, does it shake or solidify our "faith"?
My goal in writing this was to challenge HOW we believe, but I haven't even gotten there yet!
END OF PART 1 / Part One.
The whole essay did not fit into one Blog Post! But I didn't notice this until over a month after posting it! Sorry! (The system didn't tell me.)
I am thinking that people's comments HERE were made through the sentence "Examine yourselves to see WHETHER you are IN the Faith", which "section" has been moved to Part 2 / Part Two.
CONTINUES IN PART 2 / Part Two -- In what WAYS do you BELIEVE? PART 2. (MORE missing parts added.)

When you look at me, what do you see?
At first, you may see a face that you may think is younger than you are interested in.
Then you find out my age, and you realize I am a lot older than you thought! and older than you are interested in!
How?
Can this be right?
At first, I am "too young" for you, and then I am "too old"???
Both cannot be true!
But this has been my experience, in person.
And online, if one sees my listed profile age, immediately I could be considered "too old" before she even looks!
Ageism.
And one of the reasons why I have had such a hard time finding anyone who will really take a second "look".
FOR ME, if you're mature, and you're my type, then your being a younger adult is not a problem. For me.

Well, it had better be legal! LOL. (Or Apple could be in trouble! LOL.)
Free THIS week--
There's supposedly a Christian tune for free there THIS WEEK.
Well, is "This Beautiful Republic" Christian? I don't know.
And there are two OTHER free songs this week.
Free EACH week--
A large list of free songs that I got for free in the past I list in FREE songs I can GET legally each week! (Really! LOL.). That could give you an idea of what might be coming in the future.
At least one song was nominated for a Grammy, such a Daniel Powter's "Bad Day".
Some were by "Christian" artists: Relient K Bethany Dillon Plumb Maybe others.
BUT if you MISS a free song listed for that week, it's usually no longer free after that! (All one has to do is take a few minutes to check once or twice a week.)
The songs and the necessary software are both free. Well, you may have to download and install it! LOL. There are FREE Windows AND Mac OS versions of iTunes at Apple's site.
To date, I've gotten for free over 10 CDs of music. (And I STILL have not paid for anything at the iTunes Music Store! )
Some of it was pretty decent. (And some not so decent! LOL.)
MORE INFO, and a list of what I got free, at FREE songs I can GET legally each week! (Really! LOL.).
Feel free to add Good comments there.

My favorite TV show

My favorite TV show
No other TV show has been on for 40 years, producing follow-up series and follow-up series, plus movies, and movies, and movies! LOL.
Growing up, there were a lot of TV shows that I watched, but none of them that I anticipated more than Star Trek.*
I was never heavily into Sci-Fi, but this show meant something to me as a young man.
Yes, I know, compared with Star Wars, and with a lot of shows that came after, the special effects were weak. But I don't think it was the effects that drew me in. (When they first aired, they were supposedly pretty "cutting edge" for TV.)
It was the story and the characters.
Captain Kirk was confident, charismatic, and seemed to often be wise, and nearly always caring.
His ship's doctor, "Bones" or McCoy, on the other hand represented a more emotional, angry, passionately-compassionate, less "logical" side of the Human Race.
His First Officer, "Spock", half-Human half-Vulcan, represented a supposedly strictly logical approach to situations. Though he was raised on the planet Vulcan by his Vulcan dad and Human mother, and though he was raised to BE mostly like a Vulcan, he struggled with the eventual conflicts of the two natures and cultures.
As Kirk was pulled back and forth between his two closest advisers, he had to make tough choices that any explorer or military officer might have to make.
Then there were the lovable "Scotty"; Uhura, played by one of the early black women to have a major role in a television series. Later we have Chekov, a Russian (during the time of the real, US-Russian Cold War ); Sulu; and others.
And then there was the goal--the ... mission:
To EXPLORE... new worlds; to seek out new life, and new civilizations; to boldly go where no Human has gone before.
Throughout, a main goal was PEACE.
Star Trek, The Original Series (TOS ) didn't last 5 years, only 3, but it set standards for TV shows and movies to come.
Being set hundreds of years in the future (with 1960s effects ), the "science" MAY not have been always believable, but it was often scientifically researched and considered. Some of what was considered science fiction then is now considered science fact. And what appears to still be fiction today, may well be science fact tomorrow.
Though the effects weren't always believable, this may be changing!
As a nod to Star Trek's 40th Anniversary, the studios are REMASTERING the original series of Star Trek, adding in new CGI special effects to try to update its looks. Details are at the Star Trek Web site.
Many other TV shows have come and gone, and many I have liked, even some of the later Star Trek series -- some of Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager (I haven't seen Enterprise ) -- but somehow the original series of Star Trek with its characters and message-oriented action-packed stories still strikes a chord within me and others.
(Note: Episodes are typically secular in nature, though some touch upon religious themes and spirituality, often seeing the debunking of false or fraudulent religion.)
Though this was my favorite TV show, I never really got heavily into science fiction. I read a few books -- the ones by C.S. Lewis, and Dune -- but wasn't a sci-fi nerd or geek by any means. I also didn't really get into UFO stuff. (Growing up, people who had sighted them were considered weird by peers. Nowadays, though, millions have seen them.)
And though I have done some writing, Sci-Fi was not high on my priority list. I do like SOME science fiction, but it just hasn't been that big a deal to me.
(I like the Fantasy genre too, but it goes similarly for that. I did read "The Lord of the Rings" series of books, and The Hobbit, and saw and mostly liked the movies.)
If you have never loved Star Trek, or you preferred to be blown away by Star Wars and the rest -- or you never really took sci-fi seriously because it seemed too much like unrealistic fiction to you -- reconsider Star Trek, The Original Series (remastered or otherwise ).
CONSIDER some of the STORIES, maybe "fall in love" with some of the characters, and be provoked in thought and heart by some of the messages--all of which were set in a day when Westerns and Bonanza were popular and in production!
Star Trek TOS--an often action-filled "Wagon Train to the stars"! LOL.

Please give testimony of Yahshua's and/or YHWH elohim's Goodness and/or faithfulness in your life.
Feel free to copy/paste something you typed up already to show this.
Miracles or supernatural events are preferred to just some "sense" of His Goodness or faithfulness, but feel free to share your experience of such in your life.
Be SPECIFIC, please.
Preferences.
Requested, but not required to post here.
If it's a supposed "answer to prayer", were you--and maybe 1 or 2 others--the only ones who could have prayed about it? Or could it really have been an answer to someone ELSE's prayer?
If it's a miracle, or some other apparently supernatural event you were involved in, please indicate facts on how it came about. For Example: Did you lay hands on and/or anoint someone? Did others pray for it to occur? Were you alone or with 1-2+ others in doing this?
Please include relevant details, and facts, not just praise.
Please limit your opinion of the events to their own section and/or paragraphs. (Reformat if necessary.) Thanks.

What IF your religion were not real?
Why ask?
Well, when you share your faith or try to convince someone that your religion is right, is it not usually the case that you are asking them to consider that their religion is not right?
Many Christians try to convince or convert other religions. And many other religions try to convince Christians.
Attempts at converting others occur throughout life in practically every religion that believes that theirs has truth, and that some (or all of the) others are not the truth.
So since this is so prevalent, why NOT ask? Further--more reasons why--
If you ever try to convert someone else--unless you're an almost-anything-goes kind of believer--then you're trying to convert someone to come from a less true, less real religion to a truer, more real one (yours).
Now, if you can ask someone ELSE to consider that their beliefs and religion are not the truth, then ask yourself whether or not you are willing to consider whether yours is the truth or not.
If you are at least willing to consider it--as you ask others to do--consider asking yourself this question honestly--
What IF your religion were not real?
What then?
Any converts welcome to politely comment. (No proselytizing in this Post, but honest explanations are welcome.)
You may comment here on my Blog Post whether you converted from some other religion to Christianity, or from Christianity to some other religion, or from none to one/some, or from one/some to no "religion" (and if so, please explain why).
I am sure it is not easy having your belief system turned upside down.
What then?

FREE songs I can GET legally each week! (Really! LOL.)
At least I HOPE it's legal! LOL.
Each week there is usually at least one free song or piece of music at the iTunes Music Store (iTMS ). A link to the list should be on the main page when connecting using iTunes software.
The iTunes software is also free, and is for both Windows and Mac, at the Apple site.
Each Tuesday, I get an email about new music--which I rarely if ever read--so, I THINK the new free music comes out on Tuesday sometime. The Songs that were free the previous week are usually no longer free at that point. Sometimes those songs are still listed on the Free list until later that day, but they are usually no longer free. Also, the new songs are often not listed right away, or if listed, have not yet had their price changed to Free.
Secular? Christian? There has even been SOME free Christian music. But watch out for the Explicit stuff. (It's not always labeled as such.) And a number of selections have been about as worldly as you'd expect on a similar-Genre radio station.
In a separate Post below, I list many songs I downloaded previously for free, just to give you an idea of what has been offered.
In addition to music, there may also be on occasion some free TV show episodes; Audio book chapters; Other audio and video; and Movie Trailers.
More free Film Trailers can be found using a BROWSER, under Apple's QuickTime link, under the "Movie Trailers" button. QuickTime player software is also free. Many of them can be saved to the hard drive (at least with QuickTime Pro, which I paid a few 10s for ).
Quality of production? Some of the songs and pieces I got for free were pretty decent; others, not so great. Some were nominated for a Grammy!
Well, that's about it!
If YOU know of other sites that give away, LEGAL, decent, free songs, please comment here to let us know the NAME--BUT don't put in the Web address as that's not allowed here by BigChurch. Thanks!
About the following table--
Name. Words in {} next to the Name of the tune are words I added.
My Ratings has Stars from 1 to 5. The ratings are for me personally to indicate how often I may want to hear the song or piece of music again. However, 5 Stars means it stands out in some way. Because of that, I may choose to hear it far fewer times so that the special effect it has when I hear it does not wear away from hearing it so often. 1 Star means, I may never want to hear it again. There are no in-between ratings; no 2-1/2 or 3-1/2, which is too bad because a 3 Star rating could be a 2-1/2, a 3, or a 3-1/2!
Date Added may be misleading. It may only indicate when I moved it from one computer to the other, not when I downloaded it, for similar reasons listed under Play Count. Date Added just means when it was added to my current iTunes Library.
Play Count may be misleading. I copied many of these pieces of music from various computers onto one, importing the iTunes Libraries (some of which were very old, with far fewer features, on older Operating Systems ). When I did that, I sometimes lost the Play Count. It may also be misleading because sometimes I would listen to a tune, but when it got repetitive or had a long fade out or I wanted to move to another tune, I'd skip the ending. Play Count would only increment IF the tune FINISHED (no matter where I STARTED the tune ).
Last Played may be similarly misleading (compared with Play Count ). It means the date the items last "finished" on my system.
Genre. These were labeled by the iTunes Music Store (iTMS ). Only one Genre is assigned to each tune. They may not always be in a Genre that one might think they'd be in.
My Rating KEY: 20 = 1 Star. 40 = 2 Stars. 60 = 3 Stars. 80 = 4 Stars. 100 = 5 Stars. No # means I didn't rate it by the time I copied the info (which was a few days ago).
ENJOY!
Hallelu-Yah! Praise Yah!
