WELCOME to my Blog!

Intro -- Embarking on a new journey

I am tired of acting "normal", but not being accepted anyway.

I might as well "play" the fool. And such I may be.

My Blogs from here on out will probably be a little--strange, lol.

Or a lot strange, my forte.

The HUSBAND Store. (HUMOR / HUMOUR) May 22, 2007 7:20 pm

The Husband Store (ADAPTED )

A store that sells husbands has just opened downtown, where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates.

You may visit the store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors, and the attributes of the men increase as the shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a catch -- you may choose any man from a particular floor, or you may choose to go up a floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes into The Husband Store to find a husband.

On the first floor, the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1 -- These men have jobs and Love YHWH.

The second floor sign reads:

Floor 2 -- These men have jobs, Love YHWH, and Love kids.

The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3 -- These men have jobs, Love YHWH, Love kids, and are extremely good looking.

"Wow!" she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.

She goes to the fourth floor, and the sign reads:

Floor 4 -- These men have jobs, Love YHWH, Love kids, are drop-dead gorgeous, and help with the housework.

"Oh my!" she exclaims, "I can barely stand it!"

Still, she goes to the fifth floor, and the sign reads:

Floor 5 -- These men have jobs, Love YHWH, Love kids, are drop-dead gorgeous, help with the housework, and have a strong romantic streak.

She considers staying, but she goes to the sixth floor, and the sign reads:

Floor 6 -- You are visitor 10,205,721 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are difficult if not impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at The Husband Store. Watch your step as you exit the building, and have a nice day!

LOL.

Wow. If it were The Wife Store, I think the number of visitors might have been higher. LOL. Well, if it were a Web site anyway! LOL.

REALTORS and Real Estate agents, please help me know what to do! TY. (Thank you.) Apr 26, 2007 5:11 pm

REALTORS and Real Estate agents, please help me know what to do! TY. (Thank you.)

I am being forced move--the owner wants to sell--and so I need to find Commercial or Residential space ASAP, whichever is better for our situation.

I don't really know how to find Commercial property. Maybe we could buy or lease that (??), though if it's a house, I think we want to buy.

Please pray for me, and see the details at another Blog Post of mine here at BigChurch. You can comment there.

please PRAY! -- really, really busy for some time (CAREER ISSUES )

Thank you!

please PRAY! -- really, really busy for some time (CAREER ISSUES ) Apr 24, 2007 2:19 pm

GREETINGS!

Please PRAY about our career and living situations. Thank you!

Thank you for caring enough to read this.

I am still uncertain how many days I will be staying in the house I am in.

I thought the new owner had agreed--well, he did--with me being here till JULY 15th, but now he's wanting me out sooner. For reasons that made sense at the time, we only had a verbal agreement.

He may or may not have legal grounds to force me out, I think and hope not, but, it's still a heartache. And my not moving out sooner may make things more difficult for him and his wife since he said they now plan to sell it right away.

Huge amounts of my time have been spent organizing or looking for a HOUSE. However, I still don't know (or have the Wisdom ) whether I'll have the TIME--if he pushes dates--to find a large house to BUY where I could record (a place exceptionally quiet; already with a recording studio could be good ). It takes HUGE amounts of time to look for a specific kind of house.

If I look at rentals, that's hours spent. And a long-term rental could seriously mess up my career at this point--which is dependent on having a recording space--because if we get stuck paying rent for too many months, or a year, then the money for the real estate may run out. Buying, therefore, will be rendered less feasible or unfeasible.

If I look for real estate to purchase, and end up not having enough time to find AND "close", before I have to move out of here, then SEVERAL THOUSANDS of dollars could be spent on EXTRA moving (maybe 3-4,000 dollars+ each time ), on multiple additional storage lockers (or whatever--at this point, we could seriously use a warehouse ), AND on a place or places for US to live (more follows ).

Currently I alone have about 3,000SF of STUFF to deal with in the house that I am in. Plus several large storage lockers (thousands of SF more ). Plus the stuff my "friend"/"patron"/"sponsor" has.

The patron/sponsor for my music and recording situation is currently spending more than he is making, which I just found out about a short while ago. That needs to stop ASAP. (And he doesn't seem to be heading in that direction! YHWH, Help!!) Already, funds are less than optimal for what we had planned. We need to find a living/storage/recording solution that doesn't spend more money than is being made! And he too will need to be able to afford the expenses of getting to work, living, and staying SOMEWHERE! He may need to find favor in the eyes of his co-workers. PRAY for his friendliness, Lovingness, cooperation, self-control, diligence, perseverance, and CLARITY of thinking. (PRAY for me too.) He also needs to take care of a contagious "illness"; he doesn't trust doctors, or go to them regularly. PRAY for this too. Thanks.

If I am somehow "forced" by the owner or situation to move stuff before we can find a place to BUY--around Seattle/Eastside/Mountlake Terrace--a place that will allow us to spend less than is being made, then the whole career/house/recording-studio thing may be over.

If forced before buying, then in the short run the amount being spent could increase substantially, shortening our time-window even more.

TIME therefore may be of the essence, and that's what I am short on! So I really don't have time to Blog or to write (much if anything ) or to email. IF I move in July, I MIGHT finally have some free time in August, if I am in town.

If GOD, YHWH elohim will do a miracle or near-miracle (?), maybe a newer, large, affordable, close-in house, with room for recording, living, and storage, will become apparent. (Even if it is there, I might be too blind or distracted or dismissive or whatever to even notice and look.)

I have nearly lost hope. "Hope deferred makes the heart sick". YHWH-willing, we shall see.

If this doesn't come about, then it could mean a SEVERE career change for me; and then my life's plans may be totally up in the air; plus, I may have to liquidate several years worth of acquisitions. Maybe it's (still ) the will of GOD/YHWH elohim for me to have this house and recording studio. (I may have foolishly missed an opportunity last year.) I am now uncertain whether something suitable will present itself. What I am certain of is that TIME is of the essence! And I need to be clearly led and/or directed! (And I am not "hearing" so well these days.) I need more Wisdom and Faith than I am receiving. WE need.

All of this takes enormous amounts of time. And I need help.

Though I am working long and hard on this, I feel nearly helpless (even hapless ), and don't really know what to do next (except pay bills, LOL.), or in the future. For the real-estate thing to occur may take a Miracle or near-miracle (?). Please PRAY in the Spirit! (Ephesians 6: 18.) THANK YOU! (Thank You Yah! )

For those who were hoping I would write more, I hope you understand how little time I have available at this season.

Please keep us in your prayers. Thank you! wpx1.

In what WAYS do you BELIEVE? PARTS 1 and 2 LINKS. Apr 18, 2007 2:28 pm
440 Views

Though the whole topic didn't fit into one Blog Post, I didn't notice it until over a month after posting! Sorry! (The system didn't tell me it got cut off.)

So to make it all fit, as of 4/18/2007 I am splitting the topic into two parts.

I am thinking that people's comments in what is now called PART 1 were made through the sentence "Examine yourselves to see WHETHER you are IN the Faith".

That, and its "section" have been moved into PART 2 / Part Two, so that it can all fit.

Please read PART 1 before commenting in PART 2. Thank you.

And please read PARTS 1 AND 2 before making comments in EITHER part. Thank you.

In what WAYS do you BELIEVE? PART 1.

In what WAYS do you BELIEVE? PART 2. (MORE missing parts added.)

In what WAYS do you BELIEVE? PART 2. (MORE missing parts added.) Apr 18, 2007 1:16 pm

Please first read PART 1 / Part One -- In what WAYS do you BELIEVE? PART 1.. Thank you.

(Note! Before 4/18/2007, part of this was missing! (And again before 4/26!) More info at the bottom of this Post here.)

In what WAYS do you BELIEVE? PART 2.
A quick excursion into some of the ways and foundations of belief (Part 2 ).

EDITED 4/18/2007. On 4/18/2007 sections of Part 1 were moved into Part 2, which before today was unposted. (SEE the end of this Part 2 for more info.) Part 2 first posted 4/18/2007.

(BEFORE reading here or commenting, please first read Part 1 at the link above. Thank you.)

Do you believe because you blindly believe? Or is your faith really well-considered?

Have you considered other beliefs? Why not? What makes you think that you are to be so blessed or privileged to have been put into the right belief system, while you think others in other systems have not? Isn't this similar to saying "Thank You, God, that I am not like this..." person over here, stuck in their false faith? Isn't that like what the man did--in Yahshua of Nazareth's story--whom He said ended up justifying himself, but was NOT seen by God as justified?

The Queen of Sheba came all the way from her country to ANOTHER COUNTRY to inquire of Solomon about the Faith of YHWH elohim. How far have you gone? How much effort and time and money have you expended?

How much did you look into it before you jumped in with both feet? (You can look into it more now.) Messiah said to "count the cost", to count the cost and VALUE.

Are you one of those people who think they have found God at some young age, but you really haven't had that personal experience you read about in Acts? In my belief, God would certainly make Himself known to ALL people, by a certain age. But that wouldn't necessarily make them or you any more special than the next person, just because you noticed it-- What have you DONE with it?

I don't believe in blind faith. To me, such faith is no clear faith. Childlike Faith, there is, yes. And that may seem blind to those of us with a studying mentality! (Be careful before you judge.) But a faith GAINED and yet, not "studied"--one that is not based in CONVICTION--is a faith that may not really be Faith at all.

In some translation(s) of Hebrews 11: 1, it says something like this--

Faith is the conviction of things hoped for. Evidence of things not seen.
~Or~
Faith is being sure of what you're hoping for. The conviction of things unseen.

I have said that Faith can be like A JURY'S VERDICT. Faith can be a belief well-considered.

If YOUR faith is not thought through, "tested", have you done what the Word says, to "PROVE all things. Hold tightly to that which is Good"?

HAVE you put your Faith to the test?

How about you yourself?

"Examine yourselves to see WHETHER you are IN the Faith".

In what ways do you believe? Are you a shallow believer? Are you swallowing hook, line, and sinker what some teacher or preacher says? Or are you checking it out? Are you reading the Bible so that you can get a grip on the WHOLE counsel of God? Are you letting Yahshua TEACH YOU, or are you praying, reading, and then interpreting it yourself?

Do you sit and let Him teach, or do you primarily read comments and commentaries, or "figure it out" for yourself (and come up with who KNOWS what outlandish ideas )?

Do you know what the EARLY Church believed? Have you read their writings? Do you even care? LOL.

Once one has attended for a while, why is YOUR "church" better than another? Did you even let God lead or tell you whether that was where He WANTS you? (not just PERMITS you to attend!)

While there, are you likeminded, of one mind?

Are you involved, fully?

If not, can you really say you Trust and Love God/YHWH elohim with ALL of your heart?

In what ways do you believe, in ways that let you feel good about yourself because, O, God loves you? or in ways that give you assurance of His Goodness in you because through His doing, YOU Love God, His people, your neighbor (any person nearby you ), and even, your enemies?

IF YOUR FAITH IS "SHAKEN".

Something usually comes along, eventually, to "shake up" one's Faith.

Even if it is the true Religion, and even if it is real Faith, this experience will be somewhat if not very difficult.

Do you put John 5: 44 into practice? Are you like Yahshua, Who said "I receive honor from no one"? (in a nearby verse )

Are you doing what Paul the Apostle wrote, do you "HONOR ALL"?

AND, let me ask, do you continue to believe the PRINCIPLES of the Bible even when your Faith or Trust in Him has been rattled?

I ask again--

In what WAYS do you believe?

If I said,
Believe in the various other principles of the Scriptures even when your trust in God is "shaken",
WOULD you?

MOST people, once they give up on some person they believed in, or give up on some so-called church that they attended, THEY GIVE UP ON THE BIBLE!

And many, when their "trust" in "God" is shaken, they too give up on the Bible.

Let's do an experiment.

Do you give up trusting in all medical advice when you find out that some once-held view has been changed? No? Well, if you found out that your translation of the Bible had errors in it, would you start to completely distrust it? No? How about if you found out that the Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic text had errors in it, would you then completely discard it from being considered VALID?

We hold a high standard to the Scriptures. We may have been taught or thought that it is INFALLIBLE. So, if you found out that some aspect of it were not, WHAT THEN?

Oh, but God has kept it from being corrupted. Thank you for your statement of Faith. Yet, what TEXTS are those, please? (PLEASE WRITE TO ME!!!) Because Bible translations are taken from some text or another.

And what "inspired" TRANSLATION(S) of such texts are those (in English )? (AGAIN, PLEASE WRITE!!)

Let's take the experiment to an extreme. What if some book were shown to not be true? Taking it further yet--about as far as you go--what if, in your religion, your supposed "God" were shown to be a fabrication? COULD YOU STILL BELIEVE IN TRUE PRINCIPLES CONTAINED ELSEWHERE?

It would be hard, very hard, but logic tells us that there MUST be absolute truth. Not that all such will remain constant, or that there must be some absolute truth to answer every question we may pose--but that's a topic for another day!--yet to say there is no absolute truth is to make a STATEMENT of absoluteness against absolute truth! And THAT is self-contradictory, because it makes little sense to say "It is the absolute truth that there is no absolute truth"! Anyone who says there is no absolute truth, therefore, has NOT understood what they are saying. There must be absolute truth. And the existence and assurance of such may lead us toward True Knowledge, Understanding, and Wisdom. We may even FIND such truth. And live it.

If your Faith in God has been shaken, if you find that maybe that Invisible One you thought could be trusted with all has disappointed you, if you even find that parts of your Bible are lousy translations, and EVEN that sections of the texts used to translate it were faulty! DON'T let that destroy your beliefs in the well-considered aspects of the Scriptures. (You DO meditate on those aspects, don't you, and not just on the "love" of God and the pleasant verses?)

Even if you found some book or religion's so-called "God" were NOT a God at all, within that book, there may still be some Wisdom worth culling. Should you then reject it all? (Some of it may have come from ANOTHER source entirely! And if you reject an idea from that book or religion, you may end up rejecting another source where such a true idea is found.)

And if you want to have the trust of God, then ask, Is it His honor and His acceptance that you value, or do you allow yourself to seek, or simply to receive, the honor or acceptance from Human Beings?

A LOT of questions! Whew!

"Let there be in you no evil heart of unbelief".

"Let there be in you no evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the Living God".

"Encourage/Exhort one another DAILY so that your hearts will not be hardened by the trickiness of sin".

Follow Yahshua's example in this!! "I receive honor from no Human Being".

"Praise is the test of a Human Being".

"Weep with those who weep".
"Rejoice with those who rejoice".

And take to heart these words of warning--

"How can you believe who receive honor/acceptance from one another, and are not seeking that honor/acceptance that comes from God only?"
--John 5: 44.

In what WAYS do you believe?

And will you still believe when the praise or other tests come?

END OF PART 2 / Part Two.

NOTES--

The whole thing would not fit into one Blog Post; something I didn't notice until over a month after posting this! (The system didn't tell me.)

I am thinking that people's comments in Part 1 were made through the sentence "Examine yourselves to see WHETHER you are IN the Faith", which has been moved here into Part Two, starting with--Do you believe because you blindly believe? Or is your faith really well-considered?

On 4/26, I noticed that the end section was missing, from IF YOUR FAITH IS "SHAKEN" on down.

Sorry for any confusion!

How do you feel about ACCEPTANCE and REJECTION? Mar 23, 2007 2:43 pm

I was grocery shopping in the produce dept., and a flat-panel TV was playing. LOL. Dr. Phil came on for a few seconds, and said that the--
  • #1 desire of people is ACCEPTANCE; and the
  • #1 fear of people is REJECTION.

How do you feel about that?

I know that temptations to such affect me, whether I want them to or not.

A song for a wedding? (John Denver and Wagner.) Mar 23, 2007 2:19 pm
    675 Views

I overheard a comment by someone on the recent PBS fund drive regarding John Denver's music which they are giving with a donation.

He said, of songs for weddings, that--
  • Wagner has one.*
  • John Denver has TWO! LOL.

If you're looking for a list of Wedding songs, some sites that sell music books for players of Wedding music, actually list the songs IN the music books. If you find some books, but no complete lists, try some other sites, or the book publisher's site for the lists.

As to distinctly-Christian songs done at some Christian weddings, though, one may want to look at songs at Christian sites, especially Christian-music publisher or sales sites.

    * The "Wedding March", I presume.

Are there many gods? Mar 17, 2007 8:49 pm

Paul the Apostle wrote this about it--

"For even if there are so-called gods whether in heaven or on earth, as indeed there are many gods and many lords, yet for us there is {but} one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we {exist} for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we {exist} through Him.
