Whichever kind they are, LOL, they are likely to be sillyerious, that is, silly-serious, which is either silly OR serious, or both silly and serious either at the same time, or jumping around between any of the above! LOL. (Asking is permitted! lol.)

For you, the reader, I hope that some of these are edifying, fun, instructive, and/or exhortative.

    INTRO::

    No profanity allowed! lol. However, many of the movies I saw have it in them.

    Spoilers? Well, how much of a movie can you describe without spoiling the plot or some anticipation for the film? I try to avoid it when I can. If you feel I "spoiled" something, more than the previews would, email me, and elohim– or YHWH-permitting, I may consider removing or changing it. Thanks!

    NOTES:
  • NEW FOR 2009: As of January 2009, probably no more movie details or synopses, not in the 2009 list. Takes too much time. Mainly an A-Z list with a rating.
  • NEW FOR 2009: I may or may not make comments.
  • NEW FOR 2009: If you have questions about a movie, you might want to ask right away. I tend to forget what was in a movie after only a few days. I usually can remember certain details some time later (weeks or maybe months), that is, if I can remember the plot and scenes at all. LOL.
  • (The rest of these notes in this section are the same as in 2008.)
  • Where I mention "On Demand", I am referring to a feature from Comcast cable TV where one may get for free or order movies it lists, and which one may play almost instantly.
  • If it says "(On TV, with commercials.)", that probably means it was also edited by someone. Oftentimes edited movies have certain cuss words blanked out.
  • Mistakes? I do not always reread what I write before posting. (Doing this takes long enough as it is!) Therefore, there may be mistakes and typos. Feel free to correct. I may make changes without mentioning them.

  • Seven Pounds (PG-13) ##.5-### {Will Smith, Rosario Dawson, etc. 1 hr. 58 min. ~ Moving. Slow. Independent feel. I was in tears at the end for some time. (Of course, I was feeling kind of low when I went. I went hoping to BE moved. And I tripped and fell on the way into the theater, getting bloodied in the process. I missed the first few minutes.) What would you do with the rest of your life if you made a huge mistake, an accident that affected several others? What this man does stretches the boundaries of morality and ethics. But it was very moving to me nonetheless.} {Saw 10:05PM, 1/1/2009. Was maybe 5-10 minutes late.}

    Held captive by a "supernatural figure". One of the more believable strange stories. A POLL.


    Get this: A guy goes to commit a burglary, but he couldn't get out because each time he tried to escape, a "supernatural figure" pushed him to the ground!

    Then, he's stuck there THREE DAYS, until the owners of the house return to turn him in to police, and to the hospital, after not having food or water for three days.

    Why would a burglar lie about that, and stay in the house, just to get caught? LOL.

    Seems like a believable story to me.*

    And so, the question is--

    What was the INVISIBLE FORCE that kept him there?

    God?
    angel?
    spirit?
    or something else?

    * The article was on the MSN Web site. You could find it by Googling "Would-be thief says 'supernatural figure' prevented him from fleeing". Ignore the article title, though. Nowhere in the story does it say he called the supernatural figure a ghost.

    Somehow I thought I'd be typing this Blog post! LOL.

    We had already postponed our Christmas get-together, the first time in my life.

    Now, on top of all the snow we've had all week, we have inches more!

    Oh well, most everything's closed on Christmas anyway, LOL.

    Now I can focus on doing end-of-the-year email organizing. lol.
