Safe Harbor

"Safe Harbor" - it is a nautical term by the way and I just happen to be an ex-Navy girl - "is a place to come to when you've been damaged or beaten by the storms of life - it's a place of rest, refuge, and restoration - for a time - to receive healing or repair damages, and rest - in the Father's arms - no camping out here indefinitely - it will soon be time to get back out there and be about the Father's business. Yes, you can minister broken but how much more and better can you serve if you are restored and whole?"

"What a blessing was that stillness as He brought them safely into harbor." Psalms 107:30 NLT

How to call the police ... giggling ... Oct 6, 2008 3:47 pm

HOW TO CALL THE POLICE WHEN YOU'RE OLD AND DON'T MOVE FAST ANYMORE.

George Phillips, an elderly man, from Meridian, Mississippi, was going up to bed, when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window. George opened the back door to go turn off the light, but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things.

He phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?" He said "No," but some people are breaking into my garden shed and stealing from me. Then the police dispatcher said "All patrols are busy. You should lock your doors and an officer will be along when one is available."

George said, "Okay." He hung up the phone and counted to 30. Then he phoned the police again.

Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people stealing things from my shed. Well, you don't have to worry about them now because I just shot them" and he hung up.

Within five minutes, six Police Cars, a SWAT Team, a Helicopter, two Fire Trucks, a Paramedic, and an Ambulance showed up at the Phillips'
residence, and caught the burglars red-handed. One of the Policemen said to George, "I thought you said that you'd shot them!"

George said, "I thought you said there was nobody available!"

(True Story) I LOVE IT!

I just need to praise Him and pray today ... how about you ... Oct 6, 2008 2:22 pm
Mood: praiseful, 360 Views
I just need to praise Him today!!! I've been feeling kinda blue lately - tired of being alone mostly - you know - just stuff - more stuff than I want to talk about here - I know others are in this same boat with me - so let's praise Him together and chase off these blues - get us out of the 'pig swill' as Penelope says. Feel free to praise Him with me - but I will praise Him even if I have to praise Him alone.

Psalm 138 (NLT)
1 I give you thanks, O Lord, with all my heart;
I will sing your praises before the gods.
2 I bow before your holy Temple as I worship.
I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness;
for your promises are backed
by all the honor of your name
.
3 As soon as I pray, you answer me;
you encourage me by giving me strength.
4 Every king in all the earth will thank you, Lord,
for all of them will hear your words.
5 Yes, they will sing about the Lord’s ways,
for the glory of the Lord is very great.
6 Though the Lord is great, he cares for the humble,
but he keeps his distance from the proud.
7 Though I am surrounded by troubles,
you will protect me from the anger of my enemies.
You reach out your hand,
and the power of your right hand saves me.
8 The Lord will work out his plans for my life—
for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.
Don’t abandon me, for you made me.

Hallelujah Lord God Almighty - You are worthy of all my praise - Your Name is above all names - You are glorious - You are holy - You are the Alpha and Omega - the Prince of Peace - Your mercy endureth forevever - Your love is beyond comprehension - Your grace is unimaginable - You are my Redeemer - my Savior - my Healer - my Comforter - You are the Lion of the Tribe of Judah - You are the Chief Cornerstone - the Way, the Truth, and the Light - You are my Bright and Morning Star - Your way is Righteous and You are all Truth - HOW CAN I NOT PRAISE YOUR HOLY NAME - forever and ever and ever.

Heavenly Father - bless each one who reads these words - touch them mightily - deliver us from any attacks of the enemy - place a hedge of protection around each precious soul - help us to not fear the future - teach us to have faith and trust in You Lord - not man but You - You alone are worthy of our trust and our faith and our praises - Your will be done Lord - in each life - teach us to walk step by step - moment by moment - trusting you for each moment - You never leaving or forsaking us. In Jesus Name - Amen

Feel free to join me!!
