Safe Harbor

"Safe Harbor" - it is a nautical term by the way and I just happen to be an ex-Navy girl - "is a place to come to when you've been damaged or beaten by the storms of life - it's a place of rest, refuge, and restoration - for a time - to receive healing or repair damages, and rest - in the Father's arms - no camping out here indefinitely - it will soon be time to get back out there and be about the Father's business. Yes, you can minister broken but how much more and better can you serve if you are restored and whole?"

"What a blessing was that stillness as He brought them safely into harbor." Psalms 107:30 NLT

In the spacious love of God ... Jul 27, 2006 7:11 am

From John & Stasi Eldredge's book "Captiviating" - page 122.

"In the spacious love of God, our souls can lie down and rest. This love from him is not something we must struggle for, earn, or fear to lose. It is bestowed. He has bestowed it upon us. He has chosen us. And nothing can separate us from his love. Not even we, ourselves. We are made for such a love. Our hearts yearn to be loved intimately, personally, and yes, romantically. We are created to be the object of desire and affection of one who is totally and completely in love with us.

And we are.

An intimate relationship with Jesus is not only for other women, ... It is for each and every one of us. God wants intimacy with YOU. In order to have it, you, too, must offer it to him."

Acts 16

25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

Which Kingdom ... Jul 26, 2006 6:06 am

This is a portion of a message that came out this morning from Rick Joyner of Morning Star Ministries:

"Every day we are given the choice of whom we live for--ourselves or Him. Every day we can count on at least one opportunity to take up our own cross, to die to our own will or ambitions, to stand for His truth, and to serve Him instead of seeking to please men. How are we choosing? This is a primary factor that will determine which Kingdom we are a part of, and which Kingdom we will be standing with at the end."

God isn't shocked ... Jul 25, 2006 8:39 am

I just received the following in a newsletter I receive from Dan Cheatham's "Faith Food 4 Eagles" - thought it was good and want to share it with all of you:

"God is not intimidated or shaken or surprised when disagreements occur between Christians. God commands against strife and discord, but there is room for Christians to disagree agreeably. And even when they don't, God hasn't fallen off His throne. The Book of Acts is perfectly transparent in revealing Paul the Apostle's disagreement with Barnabas. The difference of opinion was so strong that they parted company from one another. But God's kingdom kept marching on! The King of kings Himself overshadowed these human flaws in His servants and the work of the Kingdom was not thwarted. The Book of Acts records that Paul went on to conquer Asia for Christ. And the history books record that Barnabas also conquered Africa for Christ. So God got his way despite the human side of two great Christian leaders. That's Great News... to know that God isn't shocked when Christians disagree! He even continues to use His servants after they have made mistakes. Imagine that!"

God is Spirit ... Jul 24, 2006 11:58 am

This exerpt is taken from Rick Joyner's book "There were Two Trees in the Garden".

"God is Spirit; and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth (John:23-24).

The Lord said that His words are spirit and life. He said His sheep know His voice. This is possibly the most important aspect of our lives - knowing His voice. Those led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. We are not to be led by impulses, feelings or reasoning. This has caused others to shy away from attempting to follow the Spirit at all, citing excesses and mistakes. There is a straight and narrow path that leads to true life. One can live by all the principles and rules in the Bible, human reasoning and what may sustain emotional equilibrium but be far from the will of God. It is essential that we know His voice and are led by His Spirit if we are to be His."

Report from N. Israel ... Jul 22, 2006 7:36 am

Just received this from David & Sarah in Tiberius in northern Israel

Shalom, Prayer Warriors,

This message was forwarded to us and we believe we need to share it with all on our list. It was written by Pastor Claude Ezagouri of the Morningstar Fellowship in Tiberius. It gives another great outline how to pray over this present situation in Israel and Lebanon.

Blessings upon blessings,

Sarah and David
---
This is an update to help you to pray intelligently:

After about 10 days of fight in the North we get some fresh report from the believing soldiers from our fellowship who are at the front line.

Please pray for wisdom for the officers. Our army doesn't often know where the enemy's fire comes from.

- The Hisballah is hiding and has deep bunkers that can be blown up only with special bombs that Israel doesn't have. Please pray for the Lord to uncover the enemy.

- There are reports of extreme tiredness among our soldiers. They can sleep only 2 hours a day and they are firing all the time.

- As fighting continues, please pray for the Christians in Lebanon to raise a voice against Hisballah for the independence of their country. They did it in the past. Pray against fear and intimidation.

- Of course keep praying for our protection. More families leave the North. Pray for us to be able to hold regular meetings in safety.

- We have been led by the Lord to pray along the lines of Psalms 149:6-9. Please pray with us along these lines.

Thanks for your precious prayers.

May His blessings pour upon you.

Claude Ezagouri

Continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem - as you pray for peace there - you pray for the second coming of Christ - that is when true peace will come!
