...being raked over the coals but government to get justice for my deaf son

A Critical Spirit: Condemns the person as well as the action
A Caring Spirit: Condemns the action not the person

"Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing."? (Proverbs 12:1

A Critical Spirit: Focuses on the faults of others
A Caring Spirit: Focuses on self-examination

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" (Luke 6:41)

A Critical Spirit: Ridicules others
A Caring Spirit: Refrains from ridiculing others

"A man who lacks judgment derides his neighbor, but a man of understanding holds his tongue." (Proverbs 11:12)

A Critical Spirit: Makes judgments based on appearances
A Caring Spirit: Makes judgments based on the right facts

"Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment." (John 7:24)

A Critical Spirit: Assumes the worst without first hearing from the accused
A Caring Spirit: Assumes the best while waiting to hear from the accused

"Does our law condemn anyone without first hearing him to find out what he is doing?" (John 7:51)

A Critical Spirit: Tears others down without seeing the unmet needs
A Caring Spirit: Builds others up according to their the needs

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." (Ephesians 4:29)

A Critical Spirit: Confronts others publicly
A Caring Spirit: Confronts others privately

"If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over." (Matthew 18:15)

A Critical Spirit: Responds harshly when accused by others
A Caring Spirit: Responds appreciatively without quarreling when others give advice

"Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice." (Proverbs 13:10)

A Critical Spirit: Lacks mercy toward others
A Caring Spirit: Responds with mercy toward others

"Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment!" (James 2:12-13)

signs you are grown up.....lol Sep 13, 2008 7:24 am
219 Views
1. Your houseplants are alive.
2. You've been at the same job for 20 years.
3. You keep more food than beer in the fridge.
4. 6:00 AM is when you get up, not when you go to bed.
5. You hear your favorite song in an elevator.
6. You watch the Weather Channel.
7. Your friends marry and divorce instead of "hook up" and "break up."
8. You go from 130 days of vacation time to 14.
9. Jeans and a sweater no longer qualify as "dressed up."
10. You're the one calling the police because those %&@# kids next door won't turn down the stereo.
11. You don't know what time Taco Bell closes anymore.
12. Your car insurance goes down and your car payments go up.
13. You feed your dog Science Diet instead of McDonalds leftovers.
14. Sleeping on the couch makes your back hurt.
15. You take naps.
16. Dinner and a movie is the whole date instead of the beginning of one.
17. Eating a basket of chicken wings at 3 AM would severely upset, rather than settle, your stomach.
18. You actually eat breakfast food at breakfast time.
19. 90% of the time you spend in front of a computer is for real work.

Bonus:
You read this entire list looking desperately for one sign that doesn't apply to you and can't find one. Then you forward it to a bunch of old friends 'cause you know they'll enjoy it too.

So does ginger, which reduces inflammation and pain.

Eat lots of yogurt before pollen season.
Also-eat honey from your area (local region) daily.

2 kinds of people Sep 8, 2008 6:55 pm

There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, “Thy will be done,” and those to whom God says, in the end, “Thy will be done.” All that are in hell, choose it. Without that self-choice there could be no hell. No soul that seriously and constantly desires joy will ever miss it. Those who seek find. To those who knock it will be opened.

C.S. Lewis

May you all be the one saying "Lord, Thy will be done!"

God bless

virtue is a grace.
Grace is a little girl,
who didn't wash here face.

now just waiting for professionals and government big wigs to get 'at it' and get this case moving so I can get help for this autistic
son of mine who isn't getting any younger.

this is a reminder to myself...

~~When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And when you pass through the rivers, they will
Not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire,
You will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
For I am the LORD, your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior- ~~

hungry and poor.

I certainly am not condoning
what they do but it is a living for some.

The poverty in these places is not something most of us can even imagine.
The current lousy group home where my middle
child [18 and deaf with autism] resides
uses $900 per day to maintain him.

what a contrast, heh?
