This is not written to implicate or condemn any politician(s). It is however, a reminder that we as a People must keep our eyes on the G-d that is found in the Word; all of it…and all of Him. He is our Light and salvation…not any politician or party.



We Serve a Terrible G-d

Deuteronomy 10: 21 " He is thy praise, and He is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible* things, which thine eyes have seen."

Nehemiah 1:5 " And said, " I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible* God, That keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love Him and observe His commandments:"

Psalm 66:5 " Come and see the works of God: He is terrible* in His doing toward the children of men. 6. He turned the sea into a dry land: They went through the flood on foot: There we did rejoice in Him. 7 He ruleth by His power forever; His eyes behold the nations: Let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah".

#3372) *Terrible; Hebrew. YARE, yaw-ray; to fear, to revere, cause to fright, affrighten, affraid, Dread.

What a time of great confusion that we live in. We live in a disturbing wilderness of bizarre and subtle temptation; perhaps unparalleled since the days of Noah. We as a people have largely forgotten our G-d. We have done so by replacing him with man-made- and manufactured "humanity," a most paperweight- gift of alms. We have largely denounced our redeeming G-d of old. Our G-d of promise and salvation; and substituted in his stead Professors, Lawyers, Philosophers, Preachers and yes...Politicians.
We want change.

"Change we can believe in."

Change that we can follow to Denver and exalt amongst an adoring throng of nearly 100,000 people. We'll sing and dance, and cry, just likes the Israelites of Isaiah. We'll look to the future with hope. We'll cry out- hate has been defeated. Racism is on the run. Misogyny... our great demon- is gone. We have Obama, we had Hillary. We have a woman VP hopeful- life is good. The devil is at bay here in the most powerful nation in history- we say.
Yet, our children not mine, but ours...if they get to hear of G-d, they mostly hear of the watered down version…a G-d of pure beneficence and benevolence.
Not exactly the type of "watered-down" version of G-d read of in Noah's flood.
A strange god. Not the G-d of Israel.
If they indeed get to hear at all, they often hear of a Christ of unending and infinite Love. One that renounces the death penalty, no matter the brutality of the crime. One that saves all. One that child molesters, rapists, abusers, murderers, crack and meth dealers, anyone...can call a brother. One they all can look forward to meeting one day with jubilation. A Christ who died so the Law of G-d can be willfully, maliciously, and even -in the very name and definition of evil- be transgressed with utter impunity. Christ’s purity of Spirit and Blood- pierced so immorality and impropriety may be enhanced, and...even today to some extent, be exalted.
Really listen to the music lyrics our youth take in today. Really watch the movies and television shows of today. We love a beautiful criminal. Oh how we admire them. Our children have a new "hero"...and a new "princess."
Can we even be bothered? Someone else will fix it. You know...
"Change we can believe in."

Ecc 8 :11 "Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil."

"G-d is Love"- don't you know?!?

This is NOT the G-d that I know. My G-d is not the newly conjured, hodgepodge G-d of today. He is not the G-d of only apple pie and roller skates. He is not the G-d of sheer cotton candy and sparkles. Sorry for the world, but my G-d is a terrible G-d. Let me say that again for emphasis, my G-d is a terrible G-d.
He is the G-d of Noah. He is the G-d of Abraham and Lot. He is the G-d of Isaac, and Joseph. The same one that David sought. The same G-d- of Joel, Ezekiel, and Jeremiah…the same one Zechariah terrored beneath.
The One that has made the very earth tremble.

My G-d is the same yesterday as He is today. And He will be so tomorrow. It is written.
He is the G-d of Mark, Luke, John, and Matthew.
He was the G-d of Jesus of Nazareth. And Jesus Christ was HE, come in the flesh. He is He.
"I AM THAT I AM." It is written.

He is the same G-d- Revelation was written of. His return is fiery, wrathful and indignant. It is written. It is NOT all clouds and merriment, no matter what any preacher may wish to make you believe. It is written.
In the words of Christ, "have you not read..?"

This is the wholeness of the G-d that I know. He's NOT a god of golden casting and orgy. He's a G-d of calling, toiling ascent, fire, and Word. He is the only G-d that has endured the scrutiny of countless wars, babylon, assyria, roman crucifixion, science, psychology, genocide, disease, famine, archeology, communism, nazism, anarchism, new aged- rosy glassed dilution...and He will survive yet on.
Aside from eternity- nothing will do. Nothing.

He and His People will survive because they are exactly NOT what they have repeatedly been pinned to be- over the generations. 3,000 years and they cannot be held, stalled, or pinned. He is not a catch-all G-d of Love. He, if you believe in the Word of the G-d of Israel, has a long and ancient history of utterly destroying cities, armies, and nations...men, women and children. He can be a "terrible" G-d. And He will be a terrible G-d again in the future. It is written.

But this is not the G-d of today. We do not like to hear such "terrible" and tragic things. We deny and renounce any god who could carry out such great "misdeeds", with such vengeance and spite. Such a god would be a vulgar criminal!
We elevate ourselves above the G-d of Israel, the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Joseph; because we like the view from on top. We think the Holy ground of Mt. Sinai is ours; annexed by our lawyers and Supreme Court judges. We like to feel in control... and having all retribution, far out of sight. Oh, how we delight in ourselves...our Professors, our Lawyers, our Philosophers, Preachers and yes again... our Politicians.
Because we cannot agree, or believe... much less follow, Our G-d's Word. Oh, how we exalt ourselves.

Politician- vote for us that we may have "womens rights." Let us as a people be free to "abort" our children for practicality sake, because we cannot follow Your Commands. We do not believe in purity, or sanctity of marriage, or the responsibility of parenthood and thus in being a "creator"- ourselves. This is too great a burden for us! We do not believe, nor can we even hope to forestall the ravages of certain deadly and yet 100% preventable diseases. We chose, Mr./Mrs. Politician, to be willfully ignorant of the problems plaguing our world. Mr. Politician remember us your people! Choose for us not to enter war against a genocidal tribal government. We cannot afford this! Mr.Politician, remember us when our sex offenders are set free...did we not light a candle for god outside the prison house praying for his release?
Did we not cry out for you to free barabbas likewise? We will sing and dance for you, because we are merciful.
Because finally, this is change we can all believe in.
Redemption is here.
But you Mr. Omniscient G-d, our Creator- who destroys what He alone created - and reserves judgment for eternity beyond this "life", to which we have no control; you're bogus, spiteful and...worthy to be crucified.
What has changed since ancient times?
Give us change we can believe in...
not this bogus- Word of G-d drivel.

Today I was reminded several times of what was written, "be angry but do not sin." I too- today, felt a bit "terrible." But, it would NOT be right to even curse the direction that the entire world seems- all too happy to be headed in. But, we must not forget that if we are Believers, we have something far better than our own suspicions of where we think we might be headed...we have the enduring Word of G-d. In this is our Hope and our Life. It is written.
The last generation is just a remnant. It is written; and of this we should be sure. As it is written "marvel not at this, the hour cometh, in which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. Jhn 5:28-9

We must be exceedingly careful to not fall into the snare that is set before all mankind today; and has been set before them since the very beginning. We must take care not to elevate ourselves above G-d's Word and Command. Was this not the first sin? The same 'one' as then, is behind it now. "Surely you will not die... hisssss"...it is written. G-d loves those who loves Him and His Son, who is the Living Word- every Word of it spoken into being. He loves those who Love His Commandments. Yes, this is written, even under the New Covenant, more than once. Yes we can have forgiveness, but Who...gives this forgiveness? It is not our Professors, our Lawyers, our Philosophers, Preachers, or Politicians.
It is G-d. The G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Joseph. The G-d of Israel, and Jesus of Nazareth.
The G-d of the remnant of The People. The very SAME One.

We have neither to like it, nor admit it- but the dog days of humanity are come upon us. Not just as a nation but as a world. And just as it was written of long ago, the famine in this time is not for the bread and water of the stomach...but for the bread of Life and the Living water- that is the Word of G-d.
We starve not in flesh, but in Spirit and Word.
We starve for G-d.

Yes, we do serve a terrible G-d indeed. How could I love such a "terrible" G-d as this? Because… He is the very definition of beauty, Love, Grace, and Hero. He is the brilliant expanse of the stars by night, and the illustrious pastel illumination of the clouds at dawn. He is the fire in the sky by dusk, and the whisper of all peace and serenity upon our winds. He's the twinkle in every good man and woman's eye, whether recognized or not. He's the he warmth in every good heart. He's the blossom, the snowflake, and the red wine. He's everything I wish I could be more like.
He is, The One True...G-d. The SAME G-d of Israel.

He is a terrible G-d that as a Troop sent Himself to suffer and save an entire People; a terrible Warrior of unsurpassed credential. A Hero of Truth, and a Father running into the flames to save His children. The G-d which kept and walked with Shadrack, Meshach, and Abednego, in the fiery furnace they were thrust into. The same G-d which pardoned the one criminal at the crucifixion that announced he was worthy of his punishment, and Christ was not. The G-d of Truth and Justice, Grace, and Judgment.
He is LOVE... taking lying, murder, deceit, thievery, and vanity- by the throat and destroying it faithfully and relentlessly; destroying the enemies of innocence and Love. Christ did not die to condone wickedness, but to defeat it. He was a Warrior not just a Martyr. And He arose again from death- on the third day.
Now, THAT'S change we can believe in.
So long as they believe, He'll protect His children from what they should largely fear the most...
themselves.

GBY and have faith- for the Word of G-d Endures Forever... it is written.

PARABLE: OF MATTERS OF HEART AND WORD

There was once a young man whose heart was captured by a fair young maiden. The young mans heart too, was as fair as any mans. One day as he admired the maiden, who he wished to marry- across the courtyard, he thought within himself, " Surely, I am not worthy of of such beauty as this!"
So he entreated of his L-rd all night long; and in the morning he came to the beautiful maiden saying,
"My love, today I shall leave for far away places, and when I return, my L-rd has promised... then shall you have a husband mete for you."

So, although it hurt the man inwardly, he set out for distant and mysterious lands. He fought many great battles, learned of many peculiar cultures, and saw many great things. He became a warrior, a poet, a psalmist, a writer- and a priest. He seized all the virtues mete for a king.
He became strong, wise, and yet remained humble...as his L-rd surely demanded.
He loved and feared his L-rd with his whole heart, save for what was reserved for his maiden back home. He learned great temperance and patience by reserving his heart for the one women in his own land; despite the many beautiful women wishing to seek his acquaintance.
One night as he prayed to his L-rd about midnight in a strange desert of a land, his L-rd spoke to him saying, "Go forth tomorrow at dawn, and return again into your own land which I called you out of. It is finished."
So, by morning the man went, and after a very long journey returned again to his beloved’s courtyard.
But, she could not be found, neither high nor low.
So he inquired of the maidens keepers. They spoke to him saying, "Have you not heard, as of last even, she has been taken in marriage!"

So the strong and wise man went straightaway into the wilderness, weeping and crying out to his L-rd.

"My L-rd, why have you forsaken your son in this way? Have I not done all that you have said, and required of me?"

His L-rd answered him from above, saying, "Son, what is this that you have said? Has not 'thy' maiden found a husband mete for her; upon your returning?"

The man crushed within himself, then cried out, "My L-rd you have deceived me greatly!"

His L-rd thundered greatly in his reply, saying, "Man, was it not your own heart that has deceived you? Am I not Thy First Love? And have I not been faithful to make of you a man mete for your L-rd? Was I not with you throughout the many strange lands that your feet had led you to? Did I not keep you in times of great battle? Did I not save you from temptation, and snare, again, and again? Had thy maidens heart been with you, would not she have waited for you; as you waited for her? Was it not I, who have shown you- it was thy maiden, that was unmete for you?

Astonished by this Wisdom, the man said to his L-rd, " Forgive me my ignorance and childishness my L-rd, who is faithful and true, I am not worthy of You."

His L-rd then spoke saying, "My son, this is Wisdom that you have said."

So the man dusted himself off, and washed himself in a stream, and asked of his L-rd, "where shall the L-rd, now, send his servant?"

His L-rd answered him saying, "go forth into the city courtyard and there will be a great teacher of my Wisdom there, upon your arrival. Follow him, wherever he shall go."
So the man trekked and reached the city courtyard about eventide. He searched high and low, but there was not another man in all of the city courtyard. There was but one man... and it was he...

The man spake then, saying, "where then shalt Thou teacher go my L-rd?"
