I once read from some wise person, whose name escapes me at present, that "with ONLY ONE tiny exception, the entire universe is... entirely composed of OTHER PEOPLE." 0r at least something much to that effect. In theory, we operate continually with this concept. But in practice sometimes I, myself, fail to implement this simple fact. All too often I find myself having, somehow, slipped into the mindset that I am the center of the universe. And it is not entirely to do with narcissism and haughtiness. It's something more complex. History, worldly teaching...even religion.
Something entirely harder to grasp fully, and manage.

I remember several months ago I found myself, as is often the case, engaged in a argument second-hand; this time, through a family member, between myself and a science professor. The topic, G-d vs. big-bang.
So eventually I had asked, "if all life in the universe would be extinct tomorrow do to some cataclysm, would the earth, moon, and all the inanimate objects cease also to exist?"
The response, "no."
I then asked, "if you die tomorrow do those objects of in-animation still exist?
"Yes."
I just had to ask, "then who, if everyone was destroyed, could ever prove they existed? If you can't EVER prove it, does it then exist to your idea of science?"
Isn't consciousness the catch-all?
Either ours our G-d's depending on what you believe?
Please, consider this for a moment.
It's a complex argument, but what is already stated- serves to the purpose I wish to make here. We as a species, have through the ages inherited a G-d complex.
That is to say, we've destroyed nature (firsts of creation) and have attempted to replace it with our own ingenuity. Tools replacing our hands. Farming and domestication replacing hunting and gathering...to- cars replacing horses, to robots and cars replacing humans on the line...and horses in the field.
(And I'm NOT saying its all Bad!)
Also, we can look at our comparative political systems, tribal rule to kingdom's- to democracy. With many, many in between.
Observation: without G-d, there is... man; and then there is everything else.
And very often there is "me" and then....there is everything else.
Oh' Man the great center of consciousness, the upholder of the universe! Oh, how great we are!Look at what I can accomplish! Yikessss...
That person that made me wait at the check-out! How dare he! He has no reason to treat me this way!!! I must knock him down a peg or two! Is he the center of the universe?!?
Don't you know I'M the center of the universe and consciousness?!?
What I see is the TRUTH, the whole truth and nothing but!
Sound faintly familiar, to anyone but myself, these days?
If we, for even a second think we as BELIEVERS are immune to this thinking, we indeed fool ourselves.
A "little bit of knowledge is a very dangerous thing." We couple this self-centeredness with a little bit of errant knowledge of G-d, and what have we?
"G-d revealed to me last night the truth about this person!"
"G-d showed me a vision what was in that brothers awful heart!"
You sure about that? That's fine if you are, but you better be. For your sake!
It would seem that at times nearly every man and woman in 'the body' is either the brain (which no one but He is) the wild mouthpiece or the eyes. And that consciousness does not work within a body at all- or in a People, but works rather as a SOLITARY beacon to Heaven.
Isn't Christ the sole beacon to Heaven?
So what part are you???
I'm the Center of all consciousness, dontcha know!
I'm gonna chew this check-out guy out, that made me wait, because I'm a warrior for Christ?!?

So, now I want to try to bring this full-circle by saying, "with ONLY ONE tiny exception, the entire universe is entirely composed of OTHER PEOPLE."
G-d's Children are as the stars. And the greatest are the least. And the least, the greatest.
It is my opinion that we all need to be reminded of that from time to time. I know I do. I'm not the center of all consciousness.
Trust me, that's good news for you and mankind I tell you!Lol...
What G-d will have me accomplish will be accomplished with or without me. But it behooves me to listen. With humility and Love, for onlyy the true Fathers voice, because only then can He really use me.
Let me know the difference between my Fathers voice and that interpretation of Him- which tells me daily "I am the center of the universe and consciousness."
There is a price that will be paid for every word one speaks saying "there is no Lord, but man."
Just as there is a price for everyone who speaks "the Lord told me"...when He told them not.
I'd pick the punishment of the former, rather than the latter.
But then again I'm not the center of consciousness...
