Here's a song I wrote today. It's kind of sad though. Hope you enjoy, friends.

That Song of Yesterday

He gave me as a child a most beautful crown
and I'd run thru the heavenlies-air
naive and joyous- without any care
-but it wasn't to last at all-
For I tripped myself upon a cloud
and I broke me my crown
-and I shattered me my heart.-
Now I run towards my Father crying out loud,
"My Lord won't you heal me,
and sing me that old song."
for I have nothing now
not even my beautiful crown
for it lies in pieces next to a cloud
-for I am but a child-
lonely and fearful now
and if I fall again my Lord,
I fear -
I may not get up again at all.

Lord heal me and sing me my song.
-That old song-of yesterday.

I weep for the cloud,
and I weep for my fall
if I stumble again my Lord
I may not-
get up again at all.

So now I cry all the night long
as I miss me beautiful crown
and now it's always a rainy day
and I have nothing- but to pray-
for with my crown-
was my youthful joy snatched away.
-Oh Lord in heaven though I be but a child
I'll run to you again- if you promise
to save me another fall.
-Lord heal me and sing me a song
so that I may find comfort
-so that I may find resolve-
Lord heal me- and sing me my song.
You know...that old song...
that song of yesterday.

I remember a blue sky -
that wasn't so grey
for all the clouds were once so merry and gay
O' how could such a thing treat me this way?
For I had- but an heart to play
as innocent and pure as- a sun's ray
I'm broken and hurt
and mine heart's in- disarray
Lord sing to me...
-yes sing to me that old song-
"la-de-dum
yes la-de-dum-day"
O'Lord wont you sing me that song of yesterday
Won't you heal me
and sing me-
my song of yesterday?

Lord sing me that old song of yesterday.
