Will Every Knee Bow In Salvation Feb 1, 2006 4:51 pm
Mood: annoyed, 311 Views
Response to: By Myself I Have Sworn, Neet2005, Post # 14880

Yes, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess, but this passage does not say that everyone will be saved just because they will do this, nor does the one in the New Testament.

When everyone comes before Christ at the close of the millenium, everyone who ever lived will be there, and they then all will understand that He was, is and always will be Lord. They will bow in reverence and respect for Him. However, the only ones who get to go from there to the new heaven are the ones who received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior while on this earth. The others will go to eternal damnation just like the Bible says they will.

The people here at Big Church who are teaching this stuff about everyone who ever lived being saved at the end may be sincere, but they are sincerely wrong!

Amen, Brother! Well spoken!

God is not all mercy, as some here at Big Church would like us to think. He is the perfect balance of Mercy and Judgement. Just picture a set of scales, with Mercy on one side and Judgement on the other. The name of these scales is Love. God uses them both in perfect balance in order to accomplish His will in the lives of His children and to show them Love. We should be praying to be like Him in everything, that includes being completely balanced in these areas, so that we can show forth perfect Love.

Being all mercy is like the mother who lets her child do what ever he wants, never giving him any discipline at all. That child goes up to be an selfish, unloving, horrible person and hating his mother for allowing him to become that way.

Being a totally judgemental parent makes an equally undesirable adult. The child either has no self-condfidence or becomes an abuser. He grows up to hate his mother, too. Neither of these are examples of a mother loving her child.

Being a good, loving parent involves having the correct balance of Mercy and Judgement.

How a child of God relates to others should be done as He does it, with a balance. We should all be praying for the Lord to give us His perfect balance in our dealings with others, and therefore, His Love for them. Mercy and Judgement in perfect balance, that is the Lord's way, and that is my way.

What Are You Here At Big Church For? Jan 30, 2006 2:48 pm
Mood: curious, 411 Views
My curiousity has gotten the better or me, so I am conducting an informal survey. I am curious about why people are here at Big Church. I would really appreciate it if you would respond by choosing one or more of the answers below:

1. I am here to find my soulmate.

2. I am here to make friends.

3. I am here for ministry purposes.

4. I am here for another reason (please explain, if you don't mind).

I will start off by answering myself. I am here for the first 3 reasons.

I will summarize the results in a later post for all who are interested to see.

Be blessed!

Need Help? Jan 28, 2006 5:40 pm
Mood: sympathetic, 404 Views
We all need help sometimes sorting things out, and I know it is really hard at times to find someone to talk to. I am a minister and one of the things I do is Biblical Counseling with women. So, if any women here at Big Church have something that they would like to talk about, I would be more than happy to listen. I may not know all the answers, but I know the One who does! If you are not a paying member and you can't email me directly, just search for me by my handle and send me a wink. If I get a wink from a woman, I will know you have something you want to talk over. I won't think you are romantically interested. LOL! Be blessed!

God of the Big and Little Things Jan 28, 2006 10:29 am
Mood: thankful, 300 Views
If you believe in a God who controls the big things, you have to believe in a God who controls the little things. It is we, of course, to whom things look "little" or "big."
- Elisabeth Elliot

If God was able to create this vast universe out of nothing, if He keeps everything going, if He has day and night in His hands, then He is certainly able to control the "little" details of our lives, don't you think?

He loves us more than we can even begin to imagine. He cares about every detail of our lives. Trust Him, my friends, trust Him completely!

Are You Qualified? Jan 28, 2006 10:19 am
Mood: aggravated, 294 Views
This post is in response to Neet2005's Post, Are You Qualified? #14389. I have quoted her post first, in case it gets deleted somehow, and then I have posted my response to it.

"Let's take a look at some of the folks that God chose to lead and carry out His work and examine thier qualifications:

"Moses was a murderer. Exodus 2 : 12
"Rahab was a prostitute. Hebrews 11 : 31
"David was a murderer and an adulterer. 2 Samuel 11 : 4
"Isaiah was a smut mouth. Isaiah 6 : 5
"Paul was a murderer. John was in prison.
"Jesus was poor, homeless and on death row.

"These are just a few examples of people God chose to lead His missions. God usually picks the least likely ones. People who appear to be lost because of the hardships they faced. But, they were consistently faithful and followed God's Will, although to the human eye it may not have appeard so.

"The world has condemned what they "do." They were the ones that were tried by fire and found faithful. They feared God, sought God, then fell in love with God. Like, "David, the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart." God spoke of him in Acts 13 : 2

"So if you think you've done too much to be used by God, you are wrong. The Bible is full of examples of how God chose the least likely ones and raised them to success against incredible odds. This is to demonstrate His desire to use those who are faithful irregardless of how the world my judge them. He's the Ultimate Good Samaritan!"

Yes, God does choose and use imperfect people to lead and carry out His work. If He didn't, nothing would ever get done for His kingdom. However, He does not, however, choose or use false teachers to lead and carry out His work. False teachers, those who teach such things as Universalism, Third Testaments, and those who embrace the teachings of Carl Jung, are false teachers. They will not be used by God but Satan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should Christians Embrace Carl Jung's Teachings? Jan 28, 2006 10:06 am
Mood: shocked, 312 Views
Below is a post(#14381)that Neet2005 made recently. Below that is my response to her post.

"Marilyn - Loved Your Post!

"Marilyn, I hope you don't mind that I reposted
your blog, it was a very good blog, as are all of your blogs and it deserved a rerun.

'C. G. Jung, one of the founding fathers of modern psychology, often wrote about something he called shadow projection. It is a situation where a person projects his/her own inadequatcies onto another person and then
complains and slanders the one on whom the
shadow has been projected This led Jung to
conclude that what we often do not like about
other people is what we do not like about
ourself.'

"If you really want to know someone I think one
way to do it is to listen to what they have to say about someone else. Another thing about finger pointers is they often point their fingers to draw attention away from who they are. No one looks at the finger pointer because we have a tendancy to look to where the finger is being pointed."

If you enbrace the teachings of Carl Jung, Anita, then you obviously don't embrace the teachings of true Christianity. If you don't embrace the teachings of true Christianity, then you aren't a Christian. If you aren't a Christian, then you should not be listened to by people who are Christians!

"Carl Jung believed in astrology, spiritualism,
telepathy, telekinesis, clairvoyance and ESP. In
addition to believing in a number of occult and
paranormal notions, Jung contributed two new ones: synchronicity and the collective unconscious."
- Robert Todd Carroll

The things that Jung embraced were wichcraft
practices! Witchcraft is an abomination before
the Lord!

I pray for the salvation of your soul, Anita!

Will There Be a Third New Testament? Jan 27, 2006 5:39 am
Mood: confused, 445 Views
I see that someone deleted this post that was made a couple of days ago. Since I wrote and posted a reply to it, I thought it would be helpful to have the original article to reference, so I am reprinting it. I have left out the names, however. Before you read this, please be very clear that I do not agree with what is said here. This is false doctrine. My purpose here is to expose it for false doctrine, not to embrace or endorse it in any way.

"While we were having our usual cup of hot tea this morning, ********* and I were discussing the Third Testament.

"The Torah was the original "Bible" that began with an oral tradition and comprised God's Holy purpose and Word. It tells of God's original covenant with man that He was our God and we are His people; if the covenant was broken by man, we would surely die.

"People broke that covenant, but God did not. He made a new covenant while fulfilling the consequences of the old covenant by promising a Messiah that would provide salvation for the sins of the world through forgiveness, overcome death and become Lord of all.

"The oracles of the prophets contained in the Torah foretold of the coming of Christ.
Later, after Christ had come and became that atoning sacrifice, thus fulfilling the the previously written words to those who witnessed this event, the New Testament foretold of a time when He would return yet again.
Those who were not God's people, He would call His people. He would seek out the lost and save them to show His faithfulness unto all generations.

"The combination of these two sets of events were compiled and seperated into two individual sections we now know as the Old Testament (Torah) and the New Testament.

"When Christ does indeed return again, both to rapture the chosen, end the tribulation and establish the Kingdom Age, there will be a Third Testament added to the Bible which will testify to those of the thousands years of peace that which we are experiencing in these the last days before His return as well as the details of the return itself. It will be a reminder and an exhortation to those who will live at that time and another testimony to the fact that men do break their covenant with God, but God does not ever break His covenant with man. Even when we reject God He will always show His loving faithfulness to His promises and never gives up so that the world through Him can be saved.

"The Bible is a collection of writings by people who understood the mystery and were moved by the Holy Spirit of God to share what they had seen and heard.

"Will there be a Third Testament added to what we know now as the Bible with testimonies of the outpouring of God's Spirit upon all flesh along with prophecies and visions written by people who have understood the mystery of grace, witnessed yet another return of Christ, and feel compelled to write down what they see and hear as a testament for future generations? I believe the answer to that question is an emphatic "YES" simply because He has shown me that this will be so and I do believe there are others who have been compelled to write down what God is showing them which will later be compiled as a part of the Third Testament I am speaking of.

Mood: sad, 326 Views
It is sad for me to have to say this, but this is one more example of a false doctrine that God warns us not to give heed to. You have presented no Biblical references to back up this speculation of yours, and with good reason - there are none that will! On the contrary, Jeremiah 31:33-34 says the following:

They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them," declares the LORD, "for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more." And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

There will be no need for a written third testament. As raindancer so wisely stated above, After Christ returns there will be no need for more written Word. The Word will be walking among us.

I call for the spirit of deception to be removed from you and Chris so that you may see the Truth, in Jesus' name, amen!

I love you, sister! My prayers are with you!

We Are On God's Mind Continually Jan 25, 2006 7:40 pm

Do you ever feel like the Lord has forgotten you?

Well, the Bible says that even the hairs of our heads have been counted, right? I read recently that we lose an average of 100 hairs from our head every day. So, that means that we lose an average of one hair every 15 minutes. Therefore, it is logical to conclude that God is checking in with us on the average of every 15 minutes of every day of our lives just to count every single hair on our heads.

If He is continually checking in with us just to find out how many hairs we have on our heads, something that isn't really that important, just imagine how much care and concern He gives to the important things in our lives. He loves us immeasurably. He has His eye on us continually. He cares about every detail of our lives. We can trust Him. We can relax in His arms.

Isn't that wonderful?

So, if you ever feel like God has forgotten you, just remember about Him counting the hairs on your head on the average of every 15 minutes and you will never believe that lie from the pit of Hell again!
