Evil Spirits Do Exist!!!!! Feb 10, 2006 6:14 am
326 Views
Most Christians have no idea about the spiritual realm that exists all around us that is as real as anything that can be seen with our human eyes. The Lord has graciously used me in the deliverance ministry for years, so I have been able to witness this realm first-hand.

People, evil spirits (demons) really do exist! They can enter into people! They can enter into Christians!

Now, I am not one of those who sees evil spirits in my oatmeal and thinks that every sin is caused by evil spirits, like the old Flip Wilson saying, "The devil made me do it!" However, if there is a sin in your life that you just can't seem to overcome and it comes back to haunt you continually, then there may be an evil spirit behind it. Also, just because you have an evil spirit that influences you to behave a certain way does not mean that you are not responsible for your actions. You are responsible for allowing that demon to be in you and you are responsible for every action you perform in your life.

Below are examples of things that can be influenced by evil spirits:

Addictions of any kind - Alcohol, drugs, sex, food, stealing, etc.
Mental Illnesses - depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, suicidal thoughts, psychosis, etc.
Physical Illnesses of all kinds!

So, if you have problems in your life that you can't seem to get rid of, I would strongly suggest that you consider the possibility of demon activity being behind it. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact me.

My Vision from the Lord Feb 8, 2006 6:45 pm

The Lord gave me a vision today as I was emailing a friend, and I would like to share it here:

I was standing near the edge of a very high cliff, with my back to it. There were lots and lots of people walking toward me, and they were all in trances. They were walking past me and very calmly walking off the cliff behind me, plunging into a bottomless pit. They were not even screaming as they fell because they were unaware that they were falling and unaware that they were going to die.

I was trying to get the attention of as many as I could as they were going past me. I was yelling at them and shaking them, trying to get them to come out of their trances and realize they were going to die if they kept going in the direction they were headed. No one would listen to me, though. It was like they were deaf. They ignored me or pushed me aside. They were determined to continue to go over the cliff to their death.

While the vision was before me, the Lord gave me a passage in 2 Timothy 4:

“1 I charge [thee] therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
“2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
“3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
“4 And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
“5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”

It was a very stressful vision, and I was very frustrated while I was having it and afterward.

The Lord told me that we have entered the time that this passage foretold and things will continue to get worse until the end of the world comes. I am still to do the work He has called me to (preaching, teaching, evangelizing, prophesying, and watching) but I am not to be surprised when people don’t listen and not to get frustrated. He has foretold in His Word that it would be this way in the last of the last days, and so it will be that way. I can’t change it.

We have seen the fulfillment of this vision right here at Big Church. Many people here do not endure sound doctrine. They follow their own lusts and find teachers who will teach them what their itching ears want to hear, they turn their ears away from the Truth, and they believe fables.

My question to each one who reads this post is this – who are you represented by in this vision? Are you one of the people who is not listening to sound doctrine and is plunging into Hell or are you one who is trying to get others to stop going over the cliff into Hell? It is an important question that each of us needs to answer.

"Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can."

Charles Wesley

Lord, I make this my prayer to You. Help me, Lord to do this every day, in every way!

"Catch on fire with enthusiasm and people will come for miles to watch you burn."

Lord, set me on fire with the fire of Your Holy Spirit, for You are a Consuming Fire, and then send the people to watch as You burn me up!

Anyone Else? The Survey Continues! Feb 5, 2006 5:47 am
Mood: curious, 299 Views
My curiousity has gotten the better or me, so I am conducting an informal survey. I am curious about why people are here at Big Church. I would really appreciate it if you would respond by choosing one or more of the answers below:

1. I am here to find my soulmate.

2. I am here to make friends.

3. I am here for ministry purposes.

4. I am here for another reason (please explain, if you don't mind).

I will start off by answering myself. I am here for the first 3 reasons.

I will summarize the results in a later post for all who are interested to see.

Be blessed in Him!

Jaded People Feb 3, 2006 3:39 pm

The difference in people as they get older is amazing to me.

People in their 20's have usually not been jaded by love like some of us older people have. I find that teenagers, even if they experience a bad breakup, they get back in the saddle pretty quickly and start dating someone else.

I have met so many older people here at Big Church, though, that won't do that. They have been hurt so much that they are way too cautious about getting into another relationship. They feel safe looking at profiles, emailing a little, blogging some, IMing a little, but won't take the next step to contact someone outside of Big Church, let alone meet someone from here.

I don't want to be that way. I have been hurt, abused, abandoned, but you know what? I am ready to love again and I am not afraid to get out there and interact with people until I find someone worthy of my love.

I would encourage everyone here to give love one more chance. You may get hurt again, but wouldn't you rather love and get hurt than never to love again at all?

Response to Windsage's Post, Leave them alone .. [post 15023] Feb 3, 2006 11:25 am

Windsage,

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your spiritual insight and obedience. What you have said here is what the Lord showed me, too, but you have said it so much better!

The Lord told me not to go to their blogs, not to comment on anything that they write anymore that might intice others to go their blogs and to block them from commenting on mine.

If there is no fuel, a fire goes out. I believe if they loose their audience here, they will move on to more "fertile" ground.

Yes, their destruction is sure. My heart breaks for them as well as those that they are deceiving. They are deceiving the weak and babes among the flock. That is a horrible thing to sit by and watch, but I must obey my Lord. His will is my will, no matter how much it hurts me, whether I understand it or not. "Mine is not to reason why, mine is but to do or die."

Be blessed in Him!

Some of us members here at Big Church have been trying to contend for our faith by responding to posts by two members here that promote false doctrines such as Universalism and a Third Testament being written. That is Scriptural that we should do that. However, it has become a back and forth thing that is getting us no where. They are not going to change their minds and we are certainly not going to change ours. We are just spinning our wheels by doing this.

I believe there is a wiser way to handle this situation at this point. People love attention, especially these two people. So, I think the wiser way to handle they is to ignore them. If they are not getting attention by what they are saying, I believe that they will lose the enthusiasm to say it. However, if we continue to respond to them, they will continue to challenge us with their false doctrines.

When I was growing up, my brothers picked on me all the time. My mother finally said, "If you wouldn't let it bother you, they would stop!" Well, I tried it and it worked! They used to tickle me, too. When I made myself not respond to their tickling anymore, they stopped doing it!

So, this is the path that I am taking with these two false teachers from now on. I am not going to visit their blogs, I am not going to respond to their posts and I am not going to respond to any comments on my blog. In fact, I am going to block them from being able to respond to my blog!

I believe that this is God's wisdom for this situation. Many of us here have warned them. If we keep visiting their blogs and posting comments, we are only keeping them at the top of the blog list. If we ignore them, they will not be as visible on the blogs as they were and will not be influencing as many people as they do now.

You each must choose your own path, but this is the path that I feel God would have me choose.

Be blessed!

Worth Repeating, Rebekka! Feb 1, 2006 5:17 pm
Mood: sad, 229 Views
The following was part of a post by Rebekka. It was so good, I thought it bore repeating:

"I believe I serve a loving and merciful God but His Word says, 'My Spirit will not strive with man forever.' Genesis 6 vs 3

"God does not 'send' anyone to hell. They send themselves there by rejecting the Son of the Most High God.

"'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.' John 3 vs 16

"If you go to hell, you will have to walk through the shed blood of Jesus Christ!"

That last sentence is so true, so true!
