This scene took place on a British Airlines flight between Johannesburg, South Africa and London, England.
A white woman, about 50 years old, was seated next to a black man. Obviously disturbed by this, she called the air hostess.
"You obviously do not see it then?" she said.
"You placed me next to a black man. I do not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group. Give me an alternative seat."
"Be calm please," the hostess replied. "Almost all the places on this flight are taken. I will go to see if another place is available."
The hostess went away and then came back a few minutes later. "Madam, just as I thought, there are no other available seats in the Economy Class. I spoke to the captain and he informed me that there is also no seat in the Business Class. All the same, we still have one place in the First Class."
Before the woman could say anything, the hostess continued. "It is not usual for our company to permit someone from the Economy Class to sit in the First Class. However, given the circumstances, the captain feels that it would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone sooooo disgusting." She turned to the black guy, and said, "Therefore, Sir, if you would like to, please collect your hand luggage, a seat awaits you in First Class."
At that moment, the other passengers, who'd been shocked by what they had just witnessed, stood up and applauded.
WELL DONE, British Airways!

Mat 25:31-46 tells us that whatever we do unto others, we do unto the Lord. If we love, help or appreciate another person, we do it to Christ. If we hate, wound or condemn another person, we do it to Christ. Let us look at other people as Christ. Before we do something for or to another person, let us see Christ in their face. Hopefully, it will make all the difference in how we act toward them!

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission - for Reporting Nigerian Scammers

There is an agency in Nigeria that has been established to help catch and prosecute the people there who are scamming others. The name of it is the Economic and Financial Crime Commission. You can find them on the Internet. So, if you come across a Nigerian person who tries to scam you, you may email their information to this agency. Pastor John tells me that many people have been caught, closed down their operations or even left the country since this agency was established. Thought some of you might like to know about this.

The Duck and the Devil (God' Grace)

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm. He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods. He practiced in the woods, but he could never hit the target. Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner. As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck. Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head, and killed it. He was shocked and grieved. In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the woodpile, only to see his sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing.
After lunch the next day Grandma said, "Sally, let's wash the dishes." But Sally said, "Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen." Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?" So Johnny did the dishes.
Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, "I'm sorry, but I need Sally to help make supper." Sally just smiled and said, "Well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help." She whispered again, "Remember the duck?" So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help.
After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's, he finally couldn't stand it any longer. He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck. Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug, and said, "Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you."
Thought for the day and every day thereafter - Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done and the devil keeps throwing it up in your face...whatever it is...You need to know that God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing. He has seen your whole life. He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven. He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you. The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness, He not only forgives you, but He forgets. It is by God's grace and mercy that we are saved.
Always remember, God is at the window! He already knows! He is ready to forgive and forget! That is what His grace is all about!

A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in Chicago. They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night's dinner.
In their rush, with tickets and briefcases, one of these salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly missed boarding. All but one. He paused, took a deep breath, got in touch with his feelings, and experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned.
He told his buddies to go on without him, waved goodbye, told one of them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor. He was glad he did.
The 16 year old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her, no one stopping and no one to care for her plight.
The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the applies, put them back on the table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket. When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, "Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay?"
She nodded through her tears. He continued on with, "I hope we didn't spoil your day too badly." As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him, "Mister....." He paused and turned to look back into those blind eyes. She continued, "Are you Jesus?"
He stopped in mid-stride, and he wondered. Then slowly he made his way to catch the later flight with that question burning and bouncing about in his soul: "Are you Jesus?"
Do people mistake us for Jesus? That's our destiny, is it not? To be so much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and interact with a world (shopping, working, reacting to others that are serving us) that is blind to His love, life and grace.
If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and act as He would. Knowing Him is more than simply quoting Scripture and going to church. It's actually living the Word as life unfolds day to day.
We are the apple of His eye even though we, too, have been bruised by a fall. He stopped what He was doing and picked you and me up on a hill called Calvary and paid in full for our damaged fruit.
Let us live like we are actually worth the price He paid.

In the Eye of the Storm

Isa 25:4 "For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones [is] as a storm [against] the wall."
God does not promise us that storms won't come. He does promise to be a refuge for us from the storm, though. What does that mean? He is a shelter! So no matter how much the winds and rains and hail stones beat down, they cannot touch us if we stay close to Him. When I think of Him being our refuge from the storm, I picture being in the eye of a hurricane. Think about it! High winds, rain, hail, lightning, thunder, destruction, death and flooding are all around the eye of a hurricane, but within the eye are none of those. It is calm and peaceful in the eye!
My prayer for each of you who reads this is that you will stay close to the Lord, cling to Him, so that you may be in the eye of the storm, safe from the storm that surges around you, in His refuge!

Below are the results of the Eternal Security Poll I conducted a few days ago. I myself tend to think that we can't loose our salvation, but we can throw it away. Thanks so much to everyone one who took the time to vote and leave a comment. I love to see what people think about things, especially spiritual matters. If you would like to read the comments people made, go to the original poll, Eternal Security
What do you think about the Eternal Security teaching?
Once saved, always saved - 3 We can't loose our salvation, but we can throw it away. - 4 If we have even one unconfessed sin in our life when we die, we will go to Hell. - 0 We can never be completely sure we are saved until we die. - 0 Don't know - 0 Don't care - 0 Other (explain in comments) - 3

The Woman and Her Alabaster Box

Every year at this time, right before Easter, I think of this most awesome song by CeCe Winans. Oh, to waste ourselves upon Jesus without regard for what others think of us. That is my prayer for each person who reads this, including myself!
The Alabaster Box
The room grew still as she made her way to Jesus She stumbles through the tears that made her blind She felt such pain Some spoke in anger Heard folks whisper "There's no place here for her kind" Still on she came through the shame that flushed her face Until at last she knelt before his feet And though she spoke no words, everything she said was heard As she poured her love for the master from her box of alabaster
And I've come to pour my praise on HIm like oil From Mary's alabaster box Don't be angry if I wash his feet with my tears and I dry them with my hair You weren't there the night he found me You did not feel what I felt when he wrapped his love all aorund me And you don't know the cost of the oil in my alabaster box
I can't forget the way life used to be I was a prisoner to the sins that had me bound I spent all my days And poured my life without measure Into a little treasure box I thought I found Until the day when Jesus came to me And filled my soul with the wonder of his touch So now Im giving back to him all the praise he's worthy of I've been forgiven and that's why I love him so much
And I 've come to pour my praise on him like oil From Mary's alabaster box Don't be angry if I wash his feet with my tears And I dry them with my hair.......my hair You weren't there The night Jesus found me You did not feel what I felt when he wrapped his loving arms around me And you don't know the cost of the oil oohhhhhhhhhhhh You don't know the cost of my praise You don't know the cost of the oil in my alabaster box
