Important Recall Notice Feb 8, 2008 1:39 pm
Mood: Repaired, 397 Views
Important Recall Notice

The Maker of all human beings is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to the serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart. This is due to a malfunction in the original prototype units code named Adam and Eve, resulting in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units. This defect has been technically termed, "Sub-sequential Internal Non-morality," or more commonly known as SIN, as it is primarily expressed.

Some other symptoms:

[a] Loss of direction
Foul vocal emissions
[c] Amnesia of origin
[d] Lack of peace and joy
[e] Selfish, or violent behavior
[f] Depression or confusion in the mental component
[g] Fearfulness
[h] Idolatry
Rebellion

The Manufacturer, Who is neither liable nor at fault for this defect, is providing factory authorized repair and service free of charge to correct this SIN defect. The Repair Technician, Jesus, has most generously offered to bear the entire burden of the staggering cost of these repairs.

There is no additional fee required.

The toll free number to call for repair in all areas is: P-R-A-Y-E-R. Once connected, please upload your burden of SIN through the REPENTANCE procedure. Next, download ATONEMENT from the Repair Technician, Jesus, into the heart component. No matter how big or small the SIN defect is, the Jesus will replace it with:

[a] Love
Joy
[c] Peace
[d] Patience
[e] Kindness
[f] Goodness
[g] Faithfulness
[h] Gentleness
Self-control

Please see the operating manual, HOLY BIBLE, for further details on the use of these fixes. As an added upgrade, the manufacturer has made available to all repaired units a facility enabling direct monitoring and assistance from a resident Maintenance Technician, the HOLY SPIRIT.

Repaired units need only make Him welcome and He will take up permanent residence on the premises!

WARNING: Continuing to operate the human being unit without correction voids the Manufacturer's warranty, exposing the unit to dangers and problems too numerous to list and will result in the human unit being permanently impounded. For free emergency service, call on JESUS.

DANGER: The human being units not responding to this recall action will have to be scrapped in the furnace. The SIN defect will not be permitted to enter Heaven so as to prevent contamination of that facility.

Thank you for your attention. Please assist where possible by notifying others of this important recall notice.

To Clone or Not To Clone? Feb 8, 2008 4:57 am
Mood: Inquisitive, 374 Views
I heard a news report yesterday that had me flabbergasted!
They're now discussing the possibilities of cloning animals for our consumption! Can you imagine going to the grocery store and buying some chicken for dinner, that has been cloned? Wonder what the implications would be? Would they have to mark the packages appropriately? Would you eat it? Of course, this led me to consider the whole issue of cloning and how God might feel about it.

Even when the issues are modern, like cloning, and aren't specifically mentioned in the Bible, we can look at principles in the Bible and apply them to these issues and understand how God wants us to respond.

Cloning Ethics - The Biblical Principles
In regards to cloning ethics, the Bible is clear that God is the Author of all life. One verse in particular is applicable to the cloning issue. In Psalm 100:3 it says, "Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves."

Many other passages tell how God has created us. Here are a few:

In Psalm 139:13-16, the psalmist says, "For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them."

In Isaiah 44:2, 21, 24 the prophet Isaiah says, "Thus says the LORD who made you and formed you from the womb, … I have formed you, …Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb, I, the LORD, am the maker of all things, stretching out the heavens by Myself and spreading out the earth all alone."

Psalm 119: v73 says, "Your hands made me and fashioned me."

Cloning Ethics - The Biblical Values
As you can see from these verses, the Bible declares two primary truths related to cloning ethics: (i) life begins early in the womb and (ii) God forms life. Because we are God's creation and are created in His image (according to Genesis 1:26), life is precious. Much of the desire in the scientific community is to create clones for "spare parts," to use their stem cells, organs, and so on. Clearly, this is not biblical because one life, the clone's, is less valued than the other, non-clone, life.

Genesis 1:27 states, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."
Man was created by God in God's own image. All humans were planned and made by God, to be like God. Through cloning, man is seeking to create a human in his own image, to be like him. Romans 1:18, 22-23 tells us, "The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man. . ."
God is angered by those who refuse to acknowledge and honor Him and instead create idols of other humans.

We were created by God for His purpose. Colossians 1:16 says, ". . .all things were created by him and for him." And Proverbs 16:4 says, "The Lord hath made all things for Himself. . ."
Those who seek to clone a human, desire to create for their own purposes. There are many reasons given for wishing to clone a human, including to harvest stem cells for research and gene therapy, for "spare parts" to transplant into an ill or dying person or even to replicate a particularly desirable set of physical or mental traits.

Micah 4:12 tells us: "But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD; they do not understand his plan. . ."
With cloning, man seeks to usurp God's place as Creator, which directly disputes Psalms 100:3: "Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture."

When applying Christian ethics to cloning, we can see that God created each human to be a special, unique individual representing Him and His divine purposes on earth. In His perfection, He created in each of us a spirit. How would that play into cloning? Can you visualize cloned human beings, with no spirit, no conscience?
Cloning seeks to manufacture an exact copy of another human, a commodity, for worldly purposes. This "playing God" is a form of idolatry, making for ourselves an image that is not God's image. We are told in Leviticus 19:4, "Do not turn to idols. . .I am the Lord your God."

I feel it necessary to point out that the opinions expressed here, are strictly my own, and the interpretations of these scriptures are mine also. Please feel free to agree or disagree, as the Holy Spirit leads and directs you.

So, what do you think, to clone or not to clone?

Boogity! Boogity! Boogity! Let's Go Racin Boys!!! Feb 6, 2008 3:14 pm
Mood: EXCITED!!!!, 441 Views
Only 3 more days till racing!! I'm so excited, I can hardly breathe! lol It's been a very long 3 months, and the withdrawal symptoms have been overwhelming!! Thank God for football, it has helped, lol.

Let's go racin!!!

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- After weeks of preseason testing, 23 Sprint Cup Series drivers will take the first green flag of 2008 on Saturday night at Daytona.

Gone are testing's anonymous gray paint jobs and recycled uniforms. Here, at last, is competition -- the 30th annual Budweiser Shootout (8 p.m. ET Saturday on FOX) -- a non-points event that kicks off the season, revving both engines and anticipation.

"It's a fun race to be in," said Dale Earnhardt Jr., the 2003 Shootout winner. "Most drivers can't wait to see some action from the offseason."

Both precursor and reward, the race warms up fans and competitors for the season-opening Daytona 500 on Feb. 17. The Shootout is open to the past season's pole winners, along with former Shootout winners who finished in the top 50 of the final 2007 Cup standings.

The Shootout began in 1979 and has yielded 17 different winners through 29 events. Buddy Baker won the first one; two-time series champion Tony Stewart is the defending winner.

Shootout Format

The starting positions for the Shootout will be determined by a random draw.

Beginning in 2003, the Shootout was formatted into two segments. The first segment is 20 laps followed by a 10-minute intermission.

During the intermission teams may change tires or perform any other action that would be part of a normal pit stop.

The second segment is 50 laps and must end in a green-white-checkered finish. Caution laps will count toward the total in both segments so the second segment may extend beyond the scheduled 70-lap total.

2007 Eligibility

The 23-driver field for the Shootout will be the record for the largest field in the history of the event. (The previous high was 22 in 2002.)

There were 18 drivers who gained eligibility by winning a pole in 2007, while five others are eligible because they are past winners of the Shootout (and finished in the top 50 in final series point standings). Four drivers will be competing in the event for the first time.

Shootout Tidbits

• The drivers who have participated in the event the most times: Bill Elliott (22), Mark Martin (20), Rusty Wallace (19), Ken Schrader (17), Geoffrey Bodine (16) and Ricky Rudd (16).

• The number of participants has ranged from a low of seven in 1981 to a high of 22 in 2002.

• Mark Martin has appeared in the most consecutive Shootouts (19 since 1989). Yeah!!!

• Sixteen different drivers have won the event, led by Dale Earnhardt with six victories. Dale Jarrett and Tony Stewart are tied for second with three each. Other multiple winners: Jeff Gordon, Neil Bonnett and Ken Schrader.

• Dale Earnhardt had an average finish of 2.75 in 12 appearances, the best of any driver.

• Tony Stewart has an average finish of 4.50 in his eight appearances, the best of active drivers.

• Jimmie Johnson has finished in the top 10 in all five of his appearances.

• This year's first-time participants include Clint Bowyer, J.J. Yeley, Reed Sorenson and Martin Truex Jr. who won their first poles in 2007.

My 5-year old grandson, Zachary, will be watching it with me. That's he and I, in the picture, at the race at Homestead/Miami Speedway, in November. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, lol. He knows every driver (there's 43) and their car #. He learned every word to the National Anthem, when he was 3, from watching the race every Sunday. (He also has every book of the Bible memorized)

He's cheering for #12 Ryan Newman, Alltel Dodge, and Grammy's cheering for #99 Carl Edwards, Office Depot Ford. (We lovingly refer to him as the backflip guy, cuz he does a backflip, off of his car, every time he wins)

So, I won't be able to talk on Sunday, lol, but I'll let you know who won!

Boogity! Boogity! Boogity!

Go Carl Edwards!!!

What Hell Will Be Like Feb 6, 2008 4:55 am
Mood: Redeemed, 461 Views
Yesterday, I wrote about what heaven will be like, I thought hell deserves equal time.

Hell is the place or state of final punishment of the wicked. It is an actual place, as surely as heaven is. Jesus spoke more on hell than all other Bible writers, because He came to save men from it.

WHAT IS HELL GOING TO BE LIKE?

The Bible has a lot to say about Hell. It is a place that the devil and demons inhabit. It is such an awful place to be, that Jesus said it would be better to cut off your hand or gouge out your eye rather than to go there. There is crying and total darkness in Hell. It is described as a lake made up of fire and brimstone. The fire in Hell cannot be put out and causes intense pain and agony.

1.Hell Will Be A Place Of Fire And Brimstone.

Revelation 20:14-15 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

2.Hell Will Be A Fire That Is Never Quenched.

It is a fire that shall never be quenched. It shall go on forever and ever.

Mark 9:43 And if your hand makes you sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched.

Mark 9:45 And if your foot makes you sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched.

3.Hell Will Be A Place Of Intense Torment, Pain & Weeping.

Matthew 13:42 ...and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Hell will be a place where it will be terrible torment to have lusts which cannot be satisfied and a conscience that torments past guilt and rejected grace.

Revelation 14:9-11 This passage of scripture speaks of the torment that shall ascend forever and ever upon all those who follow the beast.

4.It Shall Be A Place Of Blackness & Darkness.

Jude 1:13 ...raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.

Hell will be a terrible place separate from the presence of God, the rejected Lamb, the holy angels and the redeemed. No light, life, peace, joy righteousness, nor salvation, but only darkness and torment of conscience will be there for those who rejected and despised the grace of God. This is the Hell Jesus Christ died to save us from.

The important thing to keep in mind is that Jesus did not come into the world to condemn it. The world was already condemned. Jesus came so that the world would be saved from this awful place of torment.

John 3:17-18 "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

2 Peter 3:9-11 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance....

According to the Bible, this is who will end up in hell:

1.Those who do not know God. (2 Thessalonians 1:verse8 )
2.Those who do not obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 1:verse 8 )
3.Sinners and hypocrites. (Isaiah 33:14)
4.Those that practiced lawlessness. (Matthew 13:41)
5.Cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murders, sorcerers, sexually immoral, idolaters, and all liars. (Revelation 21:8 )
6.Homosexuals, adulterers, thieves, covetous people, drunkards, extortioners. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

The Bible says the road to hell is wide and the road to heaven is narrow. Which road are you traveling on?

Pray that you will be among the righteous and be a part of the new heaven and the new earth and not a part of the lake of fire and its torment. As long as you continue to follow Jesus your place in heaven is assured.

Hallelujah to the Lamb of God, Whose shed blood redeemed my life. I will praise His name for eternity!

What Heaven Will Be Like...... Are You Ready? Feb 5, 2008 1:40 am
Mood: Anticipating, 406 Views
Recently, an ABC News poll concluded that 9 out of 10 people believe in heaven. But, many have preconceived errors about what heaven is and how to get there. Let's consider what the Bible says:

The Book of Ecclesiastes says it well when it says, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die.” It also says in Chapter 7:1, “The day of death is better than the day of birth.”

Our Eternal Home

What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes’ (James 4:14b) If we want to make the most of life, we need to face the fact that it is going to end.

John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. (2) “in My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (3) “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

This is one of my favorite Scriptures, because it gives me so much hope and excitement as I look towards eternity. As I contemplated the words to the song, "I can only imagine", I began to think about what heaven would be like.

Heaven will be a place of light, love, holiness, righteousness, worship, service, joy, peace and life eternally because Jesus the Redeemer will be there. The New Jerusalem will be the new capitol of the universe and the place where the redeemed gather for worship and service. There will be no darkness, hate, sin, unrighteousness, sorrow, discord or death there.

1. It Is A Place of No More Thirst, Hunger, Sorrow, Pain Or Death.

Revelation 21:4 "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying; and there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."

Revelation 7:16-17 "They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; "for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

2. Heaven Is A Place Where Nothing Can Be Corrupted.

Matthew 6:20 "but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
Revelation 21:27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

3. Heaven Is A Place Of Pleasures Forevermore.

Psalms 16:11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

4. It Will Be A Place Of Worship.

Revelation 15:4 Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your judgments have been manifested."

5. Heaven Will Be A Place Of Constant Illumination.

Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, and the Lamb is its light.

We will know a purity, bliss, and love such as could never be experienced here. Writing in Revelation 21 and 22, the apostle John recorded his vision of an immense city of shimmering beauty, descending slowly from heaven to become the capital city of our eternal home. It will be radiant with the light of God's glory shining through its jasper walls, its jeweled foundation, and its pearly gates. And this city, the New Jerusalem, will be the eternal abode of all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. All who have been saved will walk the street of gold in transformed, eternal, glorified bodies. We'll enjoy heaven's beautiful crystal river and have ready access to its tree of life. And we'll finally have become what God intended us to be.

Jesus is the Door to this eternal home.

John 10:9“I am the door, If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.

2 Corinthians 5:1-2, 8 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (v2) For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven. (v8 ) We are confident, yes, well pleased to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

In John 14:6, Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; NO ONE comes to the Father, but by Me."

There's only one way to get there, and that's through Jesus. I hope to see you all there, one day, very soon!

I Can Only Imagine Feb 2, 2008 5:22 am
Mood: Imagining.........., 548 Views
This is my fav song, every time I hear it, I'm filled with such emotion, I cry. It's by MercyMe, their album entitled "Almost There".

Have you ever thought about what it will be like, when we get to heaven, and are face-to-face with our Lord Jesus? Can you imagine what we will feel? Read these words, and picture it in your mind.

I can only imagine, what it will be like,
When I walk by Your side.
I can only imagine, what my eyes will see,
When Your face, is before me.
I can only imagine.

Surrounded by Your glory,
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for You, Jesus?
Or, in awe of You, be still?
Will I stand in Your presence?
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing Hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak, at all?
I can only imagine.
I can only imagine.

I can only imagine, when that day comes,
And I find myself, standing in the sun,
I can only imagine
When all I would do
Is forever, forever worship you
I can only imagine.

Wow! Can you imagine?

God says......... Feb 2, 2008 4:04 am
Mood: Walking in Faith, 422 Views
So often, we get caught in the bondage of "I want, I think, I feel, I want, I think, I feel." But, these things are irrelevant, the Bible says that "we walk by faith, not by sight." Our thoughts, feelings, and desires, are what Paul was referring to when he said, "I crucify my flesh, daily." Our thoughts, feelings, and desires are fickle, they're subject to change, daily. But, God's Word is true, and will never change. He is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. Put HIS Words in your heart and speak them out of your mouth, and they will transform your life.

You say: "It's impossible." God says: All things are possible. (Luke 8:27)
You say: "I'm too tired." God says: I will give you rest. (Matthew 1:28-30)
You say: "Nobody really loves me." God says: I love you. (John 3:16 & John 13:34)
You say: "I can't go on." God says: My grace is sufficient. (II Corinthians 12:9 & Psalms 91:15)
You say: "I can't figure things out." God says: I will direct your steps. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
You say: "I can't do it." God says: You can do all things. (Philippians 4:13)
You say: "I'm not able." God says: I am able. (II Corinthians 9:v8 )
You say: "I'm not worth it. God says: It will be worth it. (Romans 8:v28 )
You say: "I can't forgive myself." God says: I FORGIVE YOU. (I John 1:9 & Romans 8:1)
You say: "I can't manage." God says: I will supply all your needs. (Philippians 4:19)
You say: "I'm afraid." God says: I have not given you a spirit of fear. (II Timothy 1:v7 )
You say: "I'm always worried and frustrated." God says: Cast all your cares on ME. (I Peter 5:v7 )
You say: "I don't have enough faith."God says: I've given everyone a measure of faith. (Romans 12:3)
You say: "I'm not smart enough." God says: I give you wisdom. (I Corinthians 1:30)
You say: "I feel all alone." God says: I will never leave you or forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)

When you feel yourself begin to sink, under the weight of life's difficulties, consider what you're thinking about, and who's words you're speaking. Begin to think HIS thoughts and speak HIS Words, and you will have the victory. If not over the circumstances, at least, over your flesh.
