Barbara Walters of Television's 20/20 did a story on gender roles
in Kabul, Afghanistan, several years before the Afghan conflict.
She noted that women customarily walked 5 paces behind their husbands.
She recently returned to Kabul and observed that women still walk
behind their husbands.
From Ms. Walter's vantage point, despite the overthrow of the oppressive
Taliban regime, the women now seem to walk even further back behind
their husbands and are happy to maintain the old custom.
Ms. Walters approached one of the Afghani women and asked, 'Why do
you now seem happy with the old custom that you once tried so
desperately to change?'
The woman looked Ms. Walters straight in the eyes, and without
hesitation, said, 'Land mines.'
MORAL OF THE STORY: Behind every man is a smart woman.

Beloved..I have been so richly blessed and deeply touched by our Wonderfull Lord Jesus lately,that i feel so giddy totaly fully in love with Him.If He was to come today...I'm ready my
Lord,You are all that I wont and need nothing no-one can separate me from what I feel for You.Has taken me a long time to get where I'm now,but thank You for blessing me with all that I went thrugh just to be here right now..I can truly say.........
I'm dead to self and alive for YOU and YOU ALONE..Today I had the HOLY SPIRIT falling on me and just cried like a little girl with tears of joy and unexplained happinness,completness..A little while ago I was speaking to a friend and was told that THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL FALL ON ME SOON...WOW...I didn't know it was going to be this ;SOON;...My dear wonderfull friend!!!!
I can't thank you enough for helping me, in my walk with JESUS.
I thank OUR LOVING LORD for using you to help me.God does place
special people in our path for a purpose..We all bring something to somebody,don't we?You my dear special friend have blessed me more then any-one ever has in my whole entire life..
You are the most humble CHRIST like person I ever,ever came in contact with..and will thank God for you for as long as I live..
My prayer is that our loving Savior Jesus will continue to use ,and bless you in the greatest way possilbe..both you

As I mentioned a while ago ,needed to have surgery
and a biopsy,got my test yesterday..all is good..

I'm in a need of some singing lessons,used to sing in the choir
in my old church,but that was few years ago.At that time I was mortified to do a solo..what a huge mistake I made (kicking my self now) If someone here on BC prefferably from Sydney of course is willing to give me some free lessons I'd be forever gratefull.Would dearly love to go from church to church,hospitals,nursing homes etc to sing PRAISES TO OUR WONDERFULL GOD..Any willing people?Please let me know!
Do have a former opera singer from church...but sadly he's got dementia.Thanking you so much in advance..Marianna
