have you ever seen this?
it is very common here in san antonio.
especially for insurance companies,and even tax companies.
(oh,and there is a furniture company that is ALWAYS going out of business,that does it too!)
i think they only have to stand out there holding the sign.
but i noticed some of them really get into it,as if to say
"i didnt choose to do this kind of work,but by golly,if i am going to do it,i am going to give it everything i have got!!!!"
i am curious,what kind of employee are you?
are you the kind that gives it everything,or are maybe the kind that falls asleep on the sign you are suposed to be holding up??
i recently had to confront a few employees at a local grocerie store in my neigborhood,for terrible service.
you would think people would try even harder with our bad economy,but unfortunately that is not the case.
i have determined that i will no longer spend money at this grocery store,i will now purchase my groceries from their competitor instead.
i mean,if the management is incapable of management,maybe they dont deserve to be in bussiness at all.....
so,what kind of employee are you????
are you a go getter,with a great attitude???
i mean,if they paid you to stop smiling....would you just keep working for free,and keep your smile??

i am not sure which Mexican comedian used this joke first,i think it was Continflas.
but anyways,the story goes that he has alot of guests eating at his house.
and he keeps telling every body not to eat too much,because there was a chicken coming real soon,so if they would please try not too eat too much for that very reason.
well,every body waited,and waited,and even waited some more.
finally every body gave up and left!
and sure enough,just as he said,here comes this chicken hopping from table to table eating the leftovers!
so,that is kind of like our lives in a sence......
are we waiting for a chicken,that will never arrive????
and when that chicken finally arrives,is it going to eat our lunch!!!
you know what i am sayin????
you could probably even ask yourself,these standards that i have set for my own life........is it as if i am chasing a chicken,that i will never catch,does this chicken even exist???
maybe we should seek real chickens,that are really on the way.

Flying Lessons
My ex-wife started taking flying lessons about the time our divorce started and she got her license shortly before our divorce was final, later that same year. Yesterday afternoon, she narrowly escaped injury in the aircraft she was piloting when she was forced to make an emergency landing in Southern Tennessee because of bad weather. Thank God our kids were with me at the Beach House this weekend. The absence of a post-crash fire was due to insufficient fuel on board. No one on the ground was injured. The photograph below was taken at the scene shows the extent of damage to her aircraft. She was very lucky.

,oh well the picture of her aircraft is a "BROOMSTICK",YOU KNOW LIKE FOR A WITCH? GET IT??
YOU KNOW,LIKE SHE IS A WITCH,AND HER AIR CRAFT IS A BROOM??
any ways,i thought it was pretty funny!

i mean it never fails...
i will sit there,take my sweet time to order..
and sure enough,it never seems to fail!!
the waitress will pass by with some,SUPER, DOOPER,looking tacos
that are fit for a king!!??!!
ok,fine....
so what i do the next time,is order THOSE KIND OF TACOS,right???
i mean,the problem should be solved,and every thing sould be good in marcoslandia.
but as John Boluchi used to say,on Saturday Night Live.
BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
here comes along some even better tacos,

i know what i am in search of....
A GOOD MEAL!
no seriously,i find my self driving around,thinking,what is the best restaurant,with the best prices,with the tastiest food????
some times that means going to "jack in the box"
it actually means that about 10 times a week!!
that's alot considering one is supposed to eat only 21 times a week.
that of course is only "THEORETICALLY" speaking,one might eat a little more,and one might even eat a little less!!
sooooooooo,what are you in search of??????(i have been watching this professor speak all week about computers,and she says that
alot "soooooooooo......" so i am probably going to start saying that just a little bit more on the blogs,too bad, if i have to hear it, well then sooooooo do you!  )
is it,a better job you are seeking????
are you searching for good husband/wife??????
perhaps a closer walk with God?????
a higher education?????
perhaps just a little respect,maybe???????
for me,most of the time it is a couple of tasty crispy tacos,and a jumbo jack,is all it takes,AND I AM GOOD!!!

150 millimeters equals 6 inches!!!

ok,it appears that some of the parts that go inside the computer "case"(this is the box that holds the interior components of a computer) are not made in the USA.
because we are eventually going to be tested on these components,
and the dimensions are in millimeters!!!!!
talk about making something complicated!
so,to help me study,i decided to just convert millimeters into a more manageable unit.
like inches,or even tenths of a foot,you know we are in america lets speak american,please!!
for example the "power supply"
this is a box that fits in the computer case, that takes wall voltage(between 110 volts and 220 volts)and converts into more manageable amounts of electricity,for the sensitive components inside the case.
so,these boxes have a chart that uses a "form factor".
this form factor basically shows the different sizes and shapes of the power supply boxes.
the funny thing is that all the measurements are in millimeters.
i will never be able to learn it,unless i can find out what a millimeter looks like!
sooooo,i took an old survey formula and calculated the size of a meter compared to a foot.
basically there are 3.28083333 feet in a meter.
sooooo,i merely devide that by 1000 to get the size of a millimeter .
then i multiply that by 150,
BINGO!!!
I NOW KNOW HOW WIDE THE POWER SUPPLY BOX IS.
It is 6 inches wide!!
ok,so 100 millimeters equals approximately 4 inches or
0.32808 feet!

wow,from 8am,till 4pm!!
it was a whole lot of information......
they literally gave us a book the size of a phone book!!(and that is not an exageration,really,the size of a phone book....really)
and that is only the first of 3 books!
whew!!
i havent used my brain that much for at least the past one hundred years!!!
oh,and we need to cover this first book in one week,so we had to cover 4 chapters today,i think it was at least 100 pages or so.
but i really enjoyed the class,there is about 20 of us in the class,but only 2 of us are rookies to computers,the rest of the guys already make a living on working on computers,they just need to get certified!
so its a little stressful to ask a question because everyone in there is a computer proffesional.
but i really dont care,if i need to know,well then i just need to know, and that is that!!

this is a necessary step in the process,to starting school.
i am also "scheduled" to begin school next monday at 7:30 am.
i am saying "scheduled" because i do not want to count any chickens before they hatch!
soooooo,prayerfully,and hopefully i will be starting school next monday!
