I HAVE HAD A GOD THAT FULLFILLED EVERY DREAM AND WISH I EVER BROUGHT BEFORE HIM, and payed for every thought, not a request but every thought, I am truely blessed, for the secrets of my heart were brought before the KING, and HE with details in order, fulfilled my REQUEST. HE IS NOT A GOD THAT DOES NOT HEAR. But a God that loves US, make US smile, MAKES US JUST SAY, WOW.
How can we not, be a servent, of total obedience and surrender. MAY ALL YOUR REQUEST BE MADE, ANSWERED BY OUR KING | |

Mood: refreshed, 120 Views | Probabaly the greatest example of persistance is ABRAHAM LINCOLN. If you want to learn about somebody who didn't guit, look no further.
Born into poverty, Lincoln was faced with defeat throughtout his life. He lost eight elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown.
He could have guit many times----- but he didn't and because he didn't guit he became one of the greastest presidents in the history of our country.
1816 His family was forced out of their home.
He had to work to support them.
1818 His mother died.
1831 Failed in business.
1832 Ran for state legislature------ lost
1832 Also lost his job--- wanted to go to law school but couldn't get in.
1833 Borrowed some money from a friend to begin a business and by the end of the year he was bankrupt. HE SPENT THE NEXT 17 YEARS OF HIS LIFE PAYING OFF THE DEBT.
1834 Ran for state legislature again--- won.
1835 Was engaged to be married, sweetheart died and his heart was broken.
1836 Had a total nervous breakdown and was in bed for six months.
1838 Sought to become speaker of the state legislature---defeated.
1840 Sought to become elector----- defeated.
1843 Ran for congress ---- lost
1846 Ran for congress again--- this time he won---went to washington and did a good job.
1848 Ran for re-election to congress--- lost
1849 Sought the job of land officer in his home state ---rejected
1854 Ran for senate of the UNITED STATES----lost
1856 Sought the Vice-Presidntial nomination at his party's national convention - got less than 100 votes.
1858 Ran for U.S Sentate again ---again lost
1860 ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATE.
The sense of obligation to continue is present in all of us.

Mood: thoughtful, 157 Views | Two seeds lay side by side in the fertile spring soil.
The first seed said,"I WANT TO GROW! I want to send my roots deep into the soil beneath me, and thrust my sprouts through the earths's crust above me... I want to unfurl my tender buds like banners to announce the arrival of spring.... I want to feel the warmth of the sun on my face and the blessing of the morning dew on my petals!"
AND SO SHE GREW
The second seed said, "I am afraid. If I send my roots into the ground below, I don't know what I will encounter in the dark. If I push my way through the hard soil above me I may damage my delicate sprouts.... what if I let my buds open
and a snail tries to eat them? And if I were to open my blossoms, a small child may pull me frrom the ground. No, it is much beter for me to wait until it is safe."
AND SO SHE WAITED
A yard hen scratching around in the early spring ground for food found the waiting seed and promptly ate it.

Mood: happy, 138 Views | An old man stood on a virginia riverbank many years ago. He was waiting to cross the river and, since it was bitterly cold and there were no bridges, he would have to "catch a ride" to the other side. After a lengthy wait he spotted a group of horsemen approaching. He let the first one pass, then the second, third, fourth, and fifth. One rider remained. As he drew abreast, the old man looked him in the eye and said "Sir, would you give me a ride across the river?"
The rider immediately replied, "certainly."
once across the river, the old man slid to the ground, "Sir, the rider said Before leaving." I could not help but notice that you permitted all the other men to pass without asking for a ride. Then, when I drew abreast, you immediately asked me to carry you across. I am curious as why you didn't ask them and you did ask me."
The old man guietly responded, " I looked into their eyes and could see no love and knew in my own heart it would be useless to ask for a ride. But when I looked into your eyes, I saw compassion, love and a willingness to help. I knew you would be glad to give me a ride across the river."
The rider was touched. "I'm grateful for what you are saying," he said. "I appreciate it very much." with that, THOMAS JEFFERSON turned and rode off to the white house. Ziglar reminds us that our eyes are the windows of our souls.
