2 A Refuge for his people, a refuge for the needy in his distree, a refuge for the oppressed,a refuge for the poor, a sanctuary ,a shade ,a shelter,a stronghold in times of trouble,a fortress, a present help, defender of widows, our dwelling place.
3. A master in heaven, commander of the Lord's army, God our strength, helper of the fatherless, the great King above all gods, the only God,the just and mighty one Shepherd.

Mood: insightful, 62 Views | How many times through out life has GOD put his very own fingerprint's on our lives..... On our souls ....A powerful wave of the Lords moving through PROTECTION..... A MESSAGE... A SONG.... A WORD.... A MOVIE........A PICTURE.......
I rememeber the first finger print, that I recall.... the Lord strategically using to invade my life was the song.... Morning Has Broken.... when I was saved by THE SPIRIT through a band called Brothern. The next, was when I was 14 standing before a church body of 500, professing I would live a christian life, and sang.... For Those Tears I Died and on and on we could go.
The lord is a powerful, merciful, creator who gave all of himself.... not just a part.... but all of himself to make me free and blessed, and to live as his friend and bride forever.
What can we do .. I do .. to have a love so powerful, that it changes the direction, course of my life.......
How can I truly understand, tap into this wisdom, this universal holiness that only comes from GOD. Through humble sincere lordship.....
THROUGH A MAN CALLED JESUS, who sees all.... weeps ... prayed and died so I ... little old me could be his child and have an inheritance of a King....

Family, friends, career commitments, functions, vacations seem to take up every waking moment.
In my devotions this morning GOD told ELIJAH .....stop.........
"The Lord said to Elijah, "Go to the east and hide by Kerith Brook at a place east of where it enters at Jordan river. Drink from the brook and eat what the ravens bring you. For I have commanded them to bring you food"............. WOW IS THAT NOT COOL................ so Elijah did as the Lord had told him and camped beside Kerith Brook the ravens brought him bread and meat each morning and evening and he drank from the brook..... HUH I NEED A DIET LIKE THIS !!!!!!! LOL

God told him to stop, so he stoppped , he completely unplugged. he pulled away from allllllllll people and stopped all activity.
Has anyone tryed this in the middle of a busy summer. This coming week I get to STOP, rest recorporate,..... reflect..........
Elijah the prophet who had to constantly battle evil kings who were in leadership in Israel needed to rest.
have you ever battled so intently for family, friends, jobs, and that special one........... in the spiritual relm,......................... your just exhausted!!!!!!!!
and GOD by his marvoulous grace swooped down and gathered you up........ and makes you rest!!!!!!!!!!!
He saw you praying..... fighting.....battleing the enemy when no-one else saw you. HE encouraged you when no -one else knew ....... He even prayed for you to carry on....... that is a mind blower !!!!!!!!!!!
He makes me to lie down in green pastures so that I can be a mirror to reflect his glory !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mood: thoughtful, 209 Views | What a Journey life can be.
As I sit here and ponder this morning.
I reflect on how it took me 3 horrible, spiritual warfare years,[mouthful Joanie word] to come out of the life style of the world. [Thinking all is well, all is good, it's cool, I got it togather] ...... sigh,...... and taking only 3 days to go back. Not that I did anything.... BAD..... according to the world or the church .
But how easily it came!!!!!!!!
When Paul talks about:
When I want to do good, I don't and when I try not to do wrong I do it anyway.
Now if I am doing what I don't want to , it is plain where the trouble is; sin still has me in it's evil grasp. It seems to be a fact of life that when I want to do what is right, I invetably do what is wrong
I LOVE TO DO GOD'S WILL, so far as my new nature is concerned;
But there is something else deep within me, in my lower nature, that is at war with my mind and wins the fight and makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me.
In my mind I want to be GOD'S willing servant but instead I find myself still enslaved to sin. So you see how it is my new life tells me to do right, but the old nature that is till inside me loves to sin. oh what a terrible predicament I'm in!!!!!!!
Christian WOMEN you have no idea how fortunate you are to have your Christian husbands praying for your protection. Pastors , single men, have your ever thought to pray for your single sisters in prayer for there protection??????? and vis-vera
What would it be like if we were also covered in prayer by the church, pastors, and brothers in the Lord and Sisters for brothers. GOODNESS WHAT A SECURITY. I know we are taught in the church, to not have brothers and sisters praying for each other, just sisters to sister and brothers to brothers, but.... in the world there are so many functions were the women would love to have a, christian FRIEND man, around her just for protection. ARE we called to pray!!!!!!!
Please do pray for me !!!!!!!!!!! Pray I will ask the right questions in this new relationship.
Pray I will not make a mistake.

Is it just me???? ....
. . . As you watch the flooding in the Midwest , have you noticed that there are no farmers running around with stolen plasma TVs or holding stolen liquor over their heads. There's no looting or yelling 'Where's Bush?', 'Where's FEMA?, Where's my check?', or 'Why isn't the Gov't out here saving me and my farm?'
Likewise, I've also noticed there are no reports of any other country coming to help or sending aid. And where are Reverends Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton??? Shocking contrast isn't it???!!!! | |
