What do I see staring back at me? BC reflects behaviors that we ourselves have but refuse to acknowledge. Easier to condemn and throw stones then to work on ourselves. Maybe we need to pay attention what the mirror is telling us......
If we are doing the same as those we comdemn....what makes us different?

I've been reading a book about the kingdom and how much we don't actually think about what it is like. We just envision some peaceful place that is nothing but bliss and KNOW we don't want to go to the other. Most everyone thinks they will enter the kingdom but Hell is the default place....few will get past Jesus. Soooo...that means a major part of people who claim him haven't quite got it right but everyone seems so sure.
But me....I've got a hereditary palpitation that flares up now and again mainly when taking cold medicine or under a lot of stress. Doctors say no biggie...not gonna die from it and the most it will be is an annoyance that will knock me off my feet for a day or two. Easy to say, hard to get it through the head when the heart speeds up and then suddenly stops...nothing...silence. First thought is I'm a gonner but then it does its little amazing thing of keeping me alive. Guess that's what keeps me wondering about whether I have it right. No one knows when their last heartbeat will be and even if we don't have an occasional reminder that life is fragile maybe we should really think about whether we are getting it right. Eternity depends on it.

Claudia...your pending comments ain't working for me. Posting my response to your predestination blog.
Where I came from the people believed in predestination but were very adament about keeping the law. Turning away from sin showed that you were the elect and the ones who continued or fell back into sin were never His to begin with. They also believed that it was a continual struggle to remain that way and you may slip and fall but that would bring you to full repentence. They also believed in faith without works is dead although the works consisted of JUST preaching their version of the gospel. Pretty aggressive about it too. It's a continual study to find out what others believe and build arguements. The tactic is to put the other on the defensive and then poke holes in what they believe. You will always see them switching it around to where YOU have to explain yourself. Their famous words when you don't come to their way of thinking is "you are not saved". They will NEVER admit they are wrong even when it is right there in front of them. This religion attracts ones who have inflated egos...or at least the ones I know. I had to get out of it......all mind and no heart, surface scripture but the inability to go deeper. There is a lot of monergism (had to change the spelling)talk by GC but it seems that it has its own twist to it that goes outside of what is taught.

This is awesome! BOLT download allows you to surf anywhere on the net right on the phone. Who needs a desktop? LOL And to think, I was trying to get rid of the service on the phone as after using it I though it frivilous but the company said no.
Another lame blog....I know.

Several times here I've seen accusations against mustard&pearls of being Gordy505. Do you know this for fact? Maybe they believe in the same things but that doesn't mean they are the same. Many of you here believe alike so what does that mean? It seems the accusations fly when people DON'T agree with the majority. I'm on other sites where I don't show my picture....does that mean I'm a fake profile there?
Unless you KNOW with absolute certainty then you are bearing false witness.

The last time I looked, 85 percent of Americans claimed Jesus. That number FLOORED me as we have sooo much crime and hate in this country. Surely not only the 15 percent were causing all the evil that goes on. These numbers confused me for awhile until I came to BC. Everyone here is a sample representation of that 85 percent and from what I've seen and read.....there is much evil and bad intentions going on.
Forgive them Father for they do not know what they do.
I'm sure that folks here are pretty decent people in their real lives and would NEVER do or say what is presented to others here. Maybe some just get carried away with being behind screen and don't feel they are really interacting with the ones they are harming????
We need to examine our hearts in EACH and EVERY situation they may be crossing that line to discover if what we are doing is pleasing to Him. After all, He is the only one that really matters.....true?

Learned a new word

Learned a new word today and thought it was pretty cool..."pontificate".  I know, lame blog.  Had a longer heart-filled one in mind about the emotional rollar coaster (all positive)ride with God that I've been on but will make it short and sweet: God is awesome...His mercy is awesome....how could I ever do anything displeasing(sin, disobey)to Him after what He has given me? Seems He asks for so little when He offers so much. And it just keeps getting BETTER and BETTER.....
Back to my cave now...thought He let me out but said  nope, gotta go deeper. I'm hard-headed.

Freaky dream

Had a dream that freaked me out the other day. I was at school and one of my students did wrong so I cut of his hand. Another student did wrong so I cut off her hand too. Woke up thinking how horrendous and was shaken by it. BUT that dream later brought these versus to mind:
"Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire"
WOW, Jesus is telling us that SINNING is serious business that we should cut off a limb or pluck out an eye rather than commit it. For, those who will focus on the dream and twist what I'm saying....NO, I'M NOT TELLING OTHERS TO GO AROUND AND CUT OFF THE HAND OF CHILDREN.
