Willful sin

26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Popular belief that a covering for future sins doesn't match this scripture. We CHOOSE to commit sin. No one commits sin before thinking about it...we have that moment before we open our mouth to lie, the thoughts before committing adultery. There is always a time just before the act that we make a choice between committing sin or choosing not to.

It's getting difficult to tell the difference

Suddenly I'm getting quite a bit of email here. It was easy to tell who was a scammer and who wasn't but now I'm not so sure. Pics seem to be of normal people and the mail has toned down...there is still something odd about them though. A few have their first and last names run together and they have the same line about being new to this sort of thing. Anyone else????
Maybe we should create a running post of who mails us so we can see if they are hitting several people and weed them out.

A million pieces

I hear people talk about our hearts as it being black and God rips it out and replaces it with a pure heart. There was a song that said something else about our hearts that I thought was pretty cool. He gathers up the millions of pieces of our heart that has been broken by life and puts it back together again. We can LOVE....

Wooohoooo!!!!!!The apostles GET IT. Don't recall this being taught.
4:32And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
They became as one.....
33And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

35And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
Everyone who had gave...those who had a need recieved. Is anyone getting a picture of how they carried on Jesus' teachings?

Liberty

We have liberty....freedom in Christ.
BUT
Do not use that liberty as an occasion to sin (Gal 5:13) Beware men who turn the Grace of God into lasciviousness (Jude).
As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness' but as the servants of God (1 Pet. 2:16)
It is STILL evil to partake of sin....even worse to cover it...much more to make liberty the cloak of sin.
Too many imagine themselves free but it is an imaginary freedom. Freedom does not leave us in bondage to Satan.

Referring to: (God said to Moses)Deuteronomy 18:18

Like unto thee....is Moses God too?????

find JOY in Christ??????? Or do you still carry the weight of the world on your shoulders?????? He said His yoke is easy and burden is light. Seems that if we are weighed down by religion then we are not accepting what He has to offer.

It grieves me to hear that you are in pain. Sometimes we have to get through the rough stuff before we find the joy. It may seem like it goes on forever (sometimes it does) but one day perhaps you can look back and find a purpose for it all.
