sweethoney and fightgoodfight:
You can attack my denomination or any other and it doesn't upset me in the least. I cling to Jesus, not some set of religious practices. I don't worry about what people think about me or my actions as long it is His will. I follow Jesus and answer to Him.
I had a simple discussion pertaining to women ministers and your beliefs in response to sweethoney’s comment. In turn you stated that you would start deleting my comments, proceeded to insult and say that you did not want me on your blog. I respect your wishes and I bring this discussion to my blog.
Quoted from sweethoney:
Accuser of the brethren....hmmmmmm.... I don't even know this gal that well AND she has her own ministry! We just started being friends! But hey....I praise God for her....she speaks out against the false church...also I am not a Calvinist ....never met the guy!
I just believe what the bible says! God by his grace is the author of salvation...faith and repentance are gifts from God and no one can get saved without the power of the Holy Ghost!
Anyway, back to the point, women cannot be preachers according to the Souther Baptists.....soooooo....nope wouldn't be one either....God has called all his sheep to preach the gospel! ________________________________________
My response:
So sweethoney...do you believe the Bible is the infallible word of God.
“A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.”
God does not give women spiritual authority over men. Yes, women can be called to ministry and teach but God placed men at the head of the church and of the household. That does not mean that we are not as intelligent or inferior to men, just that we have different roles. Society may have changed but our God's word hasn't and we need to follow his rules, not the worlds.

Who is the Suzie in Your Life?

Behind every black cloud, there's a silver lining.
WET PANTS
Come with me to a third grade classroom..... There is a nine-year-old kid sitting at his desk and all of a sudden, there is a puddle between his feet and the front of his pants are wet. He thinks his heart is going to stop because he cannot possibly imagine how this has happened. It's never happened before, and he knows that when the boys find out he will never hear the end of it. When the girls find out, they'll never speak to him again as long as he lives.
The boy believes his heart is going to stop; he puts his head down and prays this prayer, 'Dear God, this is an emergency! I need help now! Five minutes from now I'm dead meat.
He looks up from his prayer and here comes the teacher with a look in her eyes that says he has been discovered.
As the teacher is walking toward him, a classmate named Susie is carrying a goldfish bowl that is filled with water. Susie trips in front of the teacher and inexplicably dumps the bowl of water in the boy's lap.
The boy pretends to be angry, but all the while is saying to himself, 'Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!'
Now all of a sudden, instead of being the object of ridicule, the boy is the object of sympathy. The teacher rushes him downstairs and gives him gym shorts to put on while his pants dry out. All the other children are on their hands and knees cleaning up around his desk. The sympathy is wonderful. But as life would have it, the ridicule that should have been his has been transferred to someone else - Susie.
She tries to help, but they tell her to get out. You've done enough, you klutz!'
Finally, at the end of the day, as they are waiting for the bus, the boy walks over to Susie and whispers, 'You did that on purpose, didn't you?' Susie whispers back, 'I wet my pants once too.'
May God help us see the opportunities that are always around us to do good...
Remember.....Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.
Each and every one of us is going through tough times right now, but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that only He can. Keep the faith.
Prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's continue to pray for one another..
The Prayer:
Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those that I care deeply for, who are reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Is it possible to send winks to everyone that has sent one to you? I believe that happened when I was sent one to A PERSON, not multiple. Looking at the profiles of those who have recently emailed it shows that I have sent them one and didn't.

Give me a heart like yours Give me a love for souls A Heart Like Yours
Give me a heart that weeps and cries Cause so many are gonna die Cause so many are gonna die without You
Whatever breaks Your heart Let it tear me apart Hold me close enough to You That I am broken Whatever breaks Your Heart Let it break mine too
Give me a heart like Yours Cause mine is unaware Give me a heart that’s pure as gold That’s soft as flesh Where once was stone

Truth Detector #3 - Your “truth” must fit together with the other persons “truth
|

With so many different beliefs as to what truth is, how do we really know if we have it? Some will say that the Bible is subject to each ones interpretation and that’s why there are so many differing opinions. (2 Peter 1:20) No prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation. How can Scripture be a matter of interpretation when the God we serve is a God of truth? God is not a God of confusion and Scripture confirms that the Word is for teaching and training. (2 Timothy 3:16) All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. You cannot teach from the Scriptures unless you have the truth; not your interpretation of truth, but the real truth from God. On any given topic in the Scriptures, there may be two or three opposing doctrines for that same topic. Each person who "feels" they have the truth, can go to the Bible to support their doctrinal belief and tell you exactly why they believe they have the truth.
So how do we find the real truth? Although many on both sides of each issue can use the Bible to back up their beliefs, there can only be one truth and we cannot have two so-called “truths” fighting against each other, or you simply do not have the truth. For example, If your belief is that we have free will and it fights against Scriptures that say we do not have free will or vice versa, then we don’t have the truth. If you cannot explain and fit your Scripture into the other person’s scripture, then yours is not truth. The Holy Bible is the Divine word of God and there’s only one truth. Only when you can fit and explain the others person’s seemingly contradictory Scripture into yours, do you have God’s truth.

This was attached to why we forward mail...we uplift our friends and don't leave them behind
A man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead.
He remembered dying, and that the dog walking beside him had been dead for years. He wondered where the road was leading them.
After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, it was broken by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight.
When he was standing before it he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that looked like mother-of-pearl, and the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold. He and the dog walked toward the gate, and as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side.
When he was close enough, he called out, "Excuse me, where are we?"
"This is Heaven, sir," the man answered.
"Wow! Would you happen to have some w ater?" the man asked.
"Of course, sir. Come right in, and I'll have some ice water brought right up."
The man gestured, and the gate began to open.
"Can my friend," gesturing toward his dog, "come in, too?" the traveler asked.
"I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets."
The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road and continued the way he had been going with his dog.
After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to a dirt road leading through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed. There was no fence.
As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and reading a book.
"Excuse me!" he called to the man. "Do you have any water?"
"Yeah, sure, there's a pump over there, come on in."
"How about my friend here?" the traveler gestured to the dog.
"There should be a bowl by the pump."
Th ey went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old-fashioned hand pump with a bowl beside it. The traveler filled the water bowl and took a long drink himself, then he gave some to the dog.
When they were full, he and the dog walked back toward the man who was standing by the tree.
"What do you call this place?" the traveler asked.
"This is Heaven," he answered.
"Well, that's confusing," the traveler said. "The man down the road said that was Heaven, too."
"Oh, you mean the place with the gold street and pearly gates? Nope. That's hell."
"Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?"
"No, we're just happy that they screen out the folks who would leave their best friends behind."

Take the plank out of your own eye.......

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."
For this to be a Christian community, there is more hate and judgment than in a room full of people that say they don't know Christ. I've only been here less than a month and I've been accused of being the devil, having people go to other blogs and give half of a story, try to draw me into in fights, been insulted, called derogatory names in reference, trash me if I had a difference of opinion and had people try to control what I do. I don't remember doing this to anyone else.....and if I have, please point it out and bring it to this blog because I WANT to correct any wrong that I do to others. If these actions are just for your enjoyment, then have at it....only being right with Jesus matters to me.
There is a long list of reasons why we should hate this person or that, wanting to ban people because of their religion or because they were once a sinner. The very same ones that I see accusing are the ones that attack others. Is this what being a Christian is all about? Is this what Jesus taught us to do? These actions should be examined as if you are trying to please Him since you might be falling short. I could quote many versus from the Bible of what Jesus taught to do but everyone here knows that. I ask people to examine themselves and stop worrying about others....being right with God is the ONLY thing that matters. Examining myself is something that I've had to do since being on this site as I have been more into myself and less in Him than I ever have before. I don't want to spend one minute not being in Him and have to ask myself if being here is harming my relationship with Him.
God tells us how we should treat others that harm us and should take note of it, including me.
"Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave itto the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20 To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good"

Truth Detector #2 - Have you prayed for wisdom and understanding?
|

The most neglected and underutilized way of getting truth and understanding is to simply ask in prayer. “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him” (James 1:5).
Scripture confirms that it’s not us who gets wisdom or understanding on our own, it’s God who gives it to us. “Only the LORD give you discretion and understanding” (1Chronicles 2:12).Yes, we can find many witnesses throughout Scripture that confirms that it's God who gives us understanding and not us getting smart by our hard work or effort.
(Job 32: But it is the spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty, that makes him understand. God is the one who gives us both understanding and wisdom. (Proverbs 2:6) For the LORD gives wisdom from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; (7) he stores up sound wisdom for the upright"…
So if it’s truth and understanding that you’re looking for, we must do as the psalmist David did and pray for it. (Psalm 119:34) Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart… (73) Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments… (125) I am your servant; give me understanding, that I may know your testimonies!...(130) The unfolding of your words give light; it imparts understanding to the simple… (144) Your testimonies are righteous forever; give me understanding that I may live. (169) Let my cry come before You, O LORD; Give me understanding according to Your word.
Once you’ve prayed and asked the Lord for understanding, then it’s time to search for God’s truth using the third truth detector.
