I will try to paint a literary picture. He lived all alone in a little shack in the Idaho wilderness. Probably 45 minutes to Canada, few neighbors and truly bear country. He was our neighbor. Even though I had been told about him, I was still rather alarmed when he came to call and I was alone. He was walking down a trail toward me, he who looked possibly like a hobbit or large elf or maybe a very strange muppet. He wore a bright red pointy felt hat, under which , I had no idea at the time, was red hair down to his waist. He was pretty old but truly hard to say how old. He had big brown penetrating eyes and gap where his front teeth should be...but instead ,held a big fat stogie cigar. He wore red long johns for pants ,red-wing logging boots, a ladies lacy white blouse with a red checkered flannel mens shirt as a jacket. The piece de resistance was that he carried a white patent leather ladies handbag. His first words to me in a really gravelly voice were "Hey, sis , you must be the woman of Steve." This was true. I was cordial but had to stand back like at least six feet. This guy had odor. As the years passed he spent holidays with our family since his family could not love or accept him. Here's the story. His true love, his wife of almost fifty years, had died . It had broken his heart, so much, that from that time forward he had taken to wearing her clothes. He was a kind and gentle old soul, albeit stinky. It was told at the lake tavern they held hands everywhere they went all those years. So, I just wanted to share this unique person, whom I loved and has since passed. It just goes to show, we know not what people have been through and it is wisdom to season our hearts with grace one towards another. Heart

Through my Christian Daycare center I met a woman whom I immediately liked. What I realized about her is she was in love with halloween, a really..really big deal for her. She knew I didn't celebrate this and just looked at me like I was nuts. She also loves movies that I would not even go near. Anyway, this person is someone I've been praying for her. The last little while , about two months, her husband has been coming to church. We prayed and he came to the feet of Jesus every week. This last Sunday there was a prophetic word for a woman. I knew it was for this woman as did her husband. Today, when she showed up, she gave me a big hug, and told me the story. My Pastor's wife had a flat tire out in the country so this lady stopped to see if she could help. They had never met so as they introduced themselves to each other the Pastor's wife said," I have a message for you." She proceeded to tell the whole message. BOOM! The power of God hit her heart. As she sobbed and accepted Christ, concerned passersby stopped to see if they could help! Hahahahahahaha! Divine appointment. Hallelujah!

Hi Kiadan, I love the facts about you. Here are my six: Thanks everyone for tagging me.It's has been really fun. I'm actually getting pretty fast at posting . Hahahahahahahahaha! I have loved reading everyones' facts. You are some weird people !hahahahahaha! This is my last set of facts . I'll let you know when the book comes out. Love Heart 1. I have a whole kitchen cupboard devoted to scented candles! 2.I cooked exclusively on a wood cook stove for about six years and made all my own homemade bread. 3.My bathroom is full of yellow rubber duckies'. 4.I was so ready for y2k! 5.My family found a baby skunk in our garden so we brought it inside and it lived with us until.......guess what? 6.I had bizarre night terrors for about three years until a servant of Christ layed hands on me and prayed (I did not believe at that time) that was the last night terror ever! I became a believer!!!!!!

I am rarely at a total loss for words. A few weeks ago my daughter said to me,"Hey guess what? I'm getting into roller derby." I just stared at her. I was in slomo processing. She started to get irritated. "What?" says she. That was maybe the last thing I actually would have guessed. Especially since she is an admitted girly-girl who drinks a can of pop with her pinky up. She's never had anything sprained or broken. So yesterday she comes limping in saying, "man, I got slammed hard, I hurt all over." I could only ask if this was really the sport for her. "I love it," she says. The coach is a strong Christian, so that's good. She told me there is a really good league called the Holy Rollers so this got me excited thinking they were Christians, but, she said, they're not. So my other daughter, for sport, climbs mountains. Not just little mountains in a little way, but serious climbers peaks with world class climbers. She often has very scary looking hands. So what is it? I'm not this way. I can get my jollys' at the climbing gym. This is one Mama who has had to exercise faith. Much prayer. I really can't help but think about all the Moms' whose children are in Iraq, and other areas of peril. I think that whatever our children's circumstances... without having the Lord to lean on we would all go bonkers. Thank God that he loves our children even more than we do. Amazing love. Heart
