Trouble is swirling about on all sides. Times are perilous. There is a whirlwind of principalities.
God has picked me up and placed my in the palm of his hand. Though the storm rages without, I am fully protected in him. He has given me his peace. I rest in him. All is well.

Jesus is Lord!

Don't Tell Me What You're Doing This Weekend!!!! Mar 11, 2007 7:30 am

These were the words I spoke to my daughter on several occasions.

This kid was one time up a tree at least 60 feet in the air. She was about twelve years old when I went outside and I saw her Dad standing looking up a tree. He signaled me to Shhhhhhh!
He didn't want to scare her, causing a fall.
He talked her down. Not that she needed much help.

I always knew this kid would climb mountains. Literally and spiritually.

She is a world class
#5 and sometimes #6 climber.
She has climbed El Capitan at Yosemite and Smith Rock in Central Oregon just to name a few.

During her most intensive climbing season, my faith was streeeeeeeetched. I was, frankly, concerned I would lose her in a climb. Tossing and turning and finally reconciling my fear.
I had no choice but to trust God. My life is in his hands.

It is this very boldness and determination that allowed her the ability to rescue a man at Yosemite with a broken leg, and singlehandedly get him out of there.

It is this quality God uses... he places her in situations of ministering to people in extreme crisis.

She would scale walls, risking life and limb for someone in trouble. She would give someone who needed it, all of her money. Her integrity is a witness to all who know her. She has been saved
almost as long as I have. There is pretty much noone I admire as much as this girl.

I am so happy that things are flourishing for her and her husband. They are quickly becoming well known across the U.S. in their field, traveling and speaking. Not as much time to go climbing. Mostly, just the climbing wall now.

Praise God for them. I am so blessed.

B.C. Court Is Now In Session Mar 10, 2007 10:05 am

One favor, please. Before we judge another man's walk, or his denomination or his life...

let us prostrate ourselves before our God, who showed us such great mercy.

When we comment here on B.C. we may not be standing face to face with someone looking them in the eye, yet these words that come forth can be a shredding device or a healing balm.

Before we slam down the gavel of judgement let us consider this;

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober and watch unto prayer.
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.1 Peter 4 7-10

Out of the Dust and Ashes of My Disappointment
I will Praise Your Name, O Lord!

This psalm was written at a time when all hopes
of answered prayer and fulfillment in life were
gone. I decided to praise God anyhow. I sensed
the Lord was pleased. What purer praise can
there be when, by it, we have no hope of gain?
We have no ulterior motive but simply to praise
Him because of who He is. When all self
interest is gone from our praises, these
praises must surely be acceptable in His sight!

Beautiful are the praises
that arise through the veil of tears
Which give thanks to God in the midst of
sorrows and declare His glory through the
valley of grief.
Beautiful are these praises and
precious in His sight.
Like fine wine and scented oils
they gladden the Father's heart.

Beautiful are those
who ascend the mountain of prayer
With bruised knees and bleeding feet
Who are determined to give God honor
no matter what the cost.
They are true warriors
who serve God in spite of loss
And who love Him for who He is
not simply for His benefits.

So will the Father reward them
that seek Him through trials and troubles
Who are not dissuaded by the cost.
With such the Father is well pleased
for, tried and tested, they prove
They love Him more than Life itself.

Beautiful are the praises
of those who suffer
They are a
sweet fragrance
rising up to the Father's mouth
a beautiful garland for the Crown of Christ.

To the eyes of the Lord –
those who sorrow and continue to praise
Are diamonds and sapphires in His Crown of gold.
The Lord is not ashamed to call them his
brothers.

Not What The World Admires Mar 9, 2007 6:56 am

God is speaking to us
Not through the elite
not through the educated
not through the beautiful
not through the fancy

Not through the loud talkers
Not through the colorful
Not through the strong
Not through the fast

(words of edjehu)

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise;and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are;
That no flesh should glory in his presence.
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption;
That, according as it is written, He that glorienth, let him glory in the Lord. 1 Cor.
27 - 31

God does and will talk to us through anybody and anything, of course, he does what he wants.

So Inadequate But Still Running The Race Mar 8, 2007 6:59 am

I'm talking about prayer. When I pray as I ought, giving prime time and priority time to talking with my Father, it is sheer joy.

Prayer strengthens, draws us into intimacy with our Lord. Praising, loving our Heavenly Father, is an extraordinary gift of love and I can tangibly feel and rest in HIS love and peace.

Prayers of petition for our loved ones, for the brethren, for our daily circumstances and for the unsaved. The sick, the lonely, the desperate. If we don't stand in the gap, who will? This is the love of God that we lift each other.

Confession and asking for forgiveness for the ways in which I get caught in the flesh and forget who I am, that I may be clean-handed and always allowing myself to be changed into HIS glorious image.

I do so often feel inadequate in this area, in my time constrained life. When a prayer request comes up on B.C. I pray immediately for the request, there is no way I will remember later. When I do pray immediately, I often remember to pray later. There are so many needs. I pray while driving, and in any space that I can find.

I could use more time. I want prayer to be central in my life. God has commanded prayer.
Christ died to give us access to the Father.
I need his cleansing and guidance and forgiveness and protection. Others need my prayers. God wants my fellowship.
Prayer for others opens the door to miracles, healings, forgiveness, safety and peace.

How important is prayer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, Jesus. Calling me into deeper water.
Let us take it to the Lord in prayer.

Esther Was Born Today!!!! Mar 7, 2007 8:59 pm

Esther is my new puppet. She is so much fun. I
took some classes last weekend and there she was, adorable and calling out to me.

So today, for Bible time Esther made a visit to my kids. She is named after Queen Esther of course. The children loved her as much as I do.

I'm a think'in I really would like to get some more puppet characters.

I praise God at how open the children are to Jesus. They want to know more more more! Yesterday they said, "we want to know more about Joshua." They are eager to hear of God's love.

They want to hear how the old testament stories apply to today. They want to hear how Jesus will always be there for them no matter what may come.

Thank you Lord. Blessed be the name of the Lord!

Blind Baby Mar 7, 2007 8:04 pm

My colleague and friend showed me a picture of her precious new grand-daughter today. She is absolutely beautiful and took my breath away. She is completely blind. Unless there is a miracle there will be no chance she will ever see. I could only gasp as tears flowed freely, but not because I felt bad because she is blind.

It is because I know she is a special gift from God. As I touched her picture and prayed, I knew there is something very precious about this baby girl. Of course, all baby girls are precious. This one has a special gift from God.

The touch, the tenderness! No television for this small treasure. No loud sirens, or screams or sounds of arguments or racing cars. This child will only hear sounds of love and normal household sounds.Touch will convey so much to this one.

I have been around many blind people and knew a blind and deaf woman who used sign language by spelling into the palm of my hand. It is amazing. God is so very good.

They All Want To Touch Me Mar 5, 2007 9:42 pm

Whenever I am in the spirit, I have noticed people want to touch me.

The children gather around and hang on me. Five or six at a time.

When I am working out, people will come over and bring me water, and basically cater to me like crazy.

One day at church, I touched someone and they fell down, in the spirit. Then as I walked through the building people stopped me and asked me to pray.

I don't know it this will continue, I only hope so. I feel compelled to touch people and pray.

We shall see.
