Trouble is swirling about on all sides. Times are perilous. There is a whirlwind of principalities.
God has picked me up and placed my in the palm of his hand. Though the storm rages without, I am fully protected in him. He has given me his peace. I rest in him. All is well.

Why Do You Keep Touching That Sore Spot? Jul 21, 2007 6:59 am
Mood: Duh!, 366 Views
You may notice that when you move your arm a certain way, it hurts. Or maybe a sore spot somewhere else. A little injury that appears.
So why do you keep going back to see if it hurts?

When I was a child, I remember telling my Mama-San that whenever I wiggled my tooth it hurt.
She profoundly commented, "then quit wiggling it."

Mama-San is always right!

Prayer To Set The Captives Free Jul 21, 2007 5:56 am
Mood: washed clean, 317 Views
Father God,

Blessed be your name. Praise to you and you alone our Precious Father and Mighty King!
Glory to your name! Holy Holy Holy Lord!

You have come to set the captives free and your promises are true forever. You are God and make provision to break the bonds and chains of captivity. There is nothing too great for you!

No man can judge what God has unlocked.

Father, you have laid hold of your precious child, who now sees the loosening of the bonds of torment and anguish. The fetters fall free from the shoulders, and the chest, unravelling, falling down releasing their grip from every part that was bound. Your precious child is set free!in the name of Jesus!

Those old places of fear and regret will be filled up with your word, your Holy Spirit, your love, your wisdom, your righteousness, your revelation knowledge, In the name of Jesus!

Thank you Jesus that every enslaving yoke is now broken, and we will not be brought under the power of anything but the blood of Jesus Christ.

As you have released us we step away from the old fetters and step into your glorious light, being washed in the blood, we are pure, we are Holy as you are Holy and you have made us Holy.

Thank you Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.

Standing In The Gap Jul 20, 2007 11:03 am

A gap appears as a chasm, as a space between two areas of land that requires a bridge to cross over. A separation, a division.

Let us praise the ultimate gapper, Jesus!

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. 1 Tim. 2 verses 5 and 6.

Whenever we pray for someone we are standing in the gap for them. We are reaching out and taking the hand of Jesus who enterceeds on our/their behalf, to God. The person we are praying for is in our mind, our heart, and we wish them the best, we go to our Father for them.

and I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destry it: but I found none. Ezekiel 22 verse 30

Do not be afraid, when you are interceeding on behalf of someone, to go to the elders of the church, and ask them to anoint you with oil, and pray for the person you interceed for. You can physically stand in the gap in this way. As they
lay hands upon you, it is as if they lay hands on the person you interceed for.

Recently, I went to the healing rooms to stand in the gap for two people, one of whom, living in another state, was very close to death. The other, someone very precious to me, had the sentence of a horrible painful disease. Now, they are both healed!

The one in the hospital in California, the Dr.s say, "is a true miracle." Italian Sister knows about this medical stuff also, and agrees it was truly a miracle. click on this link to read about it:

It was more of a miracle than I realized!

If you haven't tried this before it is something I recommend. It is always faith increasing to go up to the altar, and to go on behalf of someone else is beautiful. Love, love, love to you Saints of God.

What Ever Posessed Me! Jul 19, 2007 11:29 am
Mood: Regal, 510 Views
Oh good grief! It started out innocent enough. I found a ham bone in the freezer so thought to self,"Hmmmm, navy bean or split pea?" Split pea won, and it's been ages since I cooked up a pot.

I really am feeling like a silly re-run of an I love Lucy show because I made enough soup to feed probably 20-25 people. Sure, it will be great with french bread and salad tonight and probably pretty good tomorrow for lunch, but after that...Freezer, that's it!

I'm trying to be domestic today and so far only had to use the ice-pack once for injuries received! I am called the frantic gourmet because I get going so fast I get ahead of myself and stuff literally starts flying.

Today is Princess Day so I went through and polished all my jewels, but I am not a Princess anyway, I am a Queen. Thing is, this crown keeps sliding off my head and almost landing in the split pea soup. Life is rough! Kidding guys! Sort of.

What's Wrong With Me? Jul 18, 2007 11:26 pm
399 Views
We would be well advised to ask this of ourselves rather than point to our Brother and say, What's wrong with that guy?

Whenever I need to correct one of my students, and I tell them that hitting or hurting is not allowed, the worst thing they can do is point at someone else and say, "well he..." It does not tend to further their cause.

No doubt there is plenty not quite right with all at one level or another. Everyone has their little foibles, quirks, issues and personalities.

Love covers a multitude of sins. Love diminishes the flaws of others. Love encourages. Love accepts. Love enlarges, love extends, love heals, love soothes, love conquers, love smells good. Love is gentle. Love is honest.

Satan, get thee behind me! Jul 18, 2007 12:47 pm

We have an important role. We stand as strangers in a strange land. (Where have I heard that before?)Here we are, someplace in time between Calvary and the fullout manifestation of The Kingdom of God on Earth.

We are not only the garden that is taken over by the mustard seed; we are the means by which the
mustard seed continues to take over the rest of the garden!

God wants to work with us to grow HIS Kingdom, our sovereign God chooses us to enlarge His Kingdom. He longs for a bride who learns how to rule with Him upon the earth.

Things hang on whether or not we fully yield to the kingdom growing in us and through us.We are loved unconditionally, but only useful to the point we are yielded.

As yielded vessels, we are to do what Jesus did.
By the same means, the enemy that confronted Jesus in His earthly ministry continues to confront HIM through us, as we choose to advance God's Kingdom.

Satan opposes the advancement of the Kingdom at every turn! We must remember our real citizenship is in Heaven. We are in the world but not of the world. We are to be a set-apart people. We utterly trivialize this profound Biblical teaching if we associate our peculiar
holiness with a pet list of religious taboos
(such as drinking, smoking, dancing gambling etc.) The holiness of the New testament is concerned with being Christlike, living in outrageous, self sacrificial love. We are to be light, salt, and show the love of Christ. Amen.

Caught In The Act of Adultery! Jul 18, 2007 12:42 pm
406 Views
The scribes and pharisees brought to Jesus, a woman taken in adultery, the very act!

Jesus said, "he that is without sin among you,let him first cast a stone at her."

None could cast a stone. Jesus said to the woman,
"Go, and sin no more"

The Bible lessons here are many, yet the one obvious truth here is: only Jesus, the sinless one, was in a position to cast a stone, and he did not. Jesus did not condemn this woman, but told her to go and sin no more.

Dare you pronounce another unsaved? Those who held stones against this woman caught in adultery were set to judge her, not righteously, but with logs in their eyes. They unrighteously usurped the role of spiritual police.

There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy; who art thou that judgest another? James 4:12

A Little Historical FYI on Christian Violence Jul 18, 2007 11:42 am
252 Views
Augustine was the first theologian to align the church in an offical way with the use of the sword, and it happened to be against a fellow Christian group, the Donatists.

Augustine justified the use of force by arguing that inflicting temporal pain to help someone avoid eternal pain is justified. Since God had given the church the power of the sword, Augustine reasoned, it had a responsibility to use it to further God's purposes in the world just as a stern father has a responsibility to beat his child for his own good.
Augustine had the emperor Theodosius criminalize the "heresy" of Donatism and attempt to persecute it out of existence. This set a tragic precedent for handling doctrinal disagreements for the next thirteen hundred years.

This militant mindset carried into the Protestant reformation. Hundreds of thousands of
"heretics" were slaughtered until the bloodshed became economically unbearable and unfeasible and a truce was called. (the peace of Westphalia)
While the use of the sword subsided in Europe, it continued in the New World.Christians slaughtered Native Americans as a means of conquering new land for Jesus.

While the violent expression of the Constantinian mindset has been largely outlawed, the mindset itself is still very much alive today.Whenever a group of "christians" try to enforce their Holy will on another group,( though
forcing their will by violence is no longer quite as available,) there is still the ugly forcing of will through other means. Bullying, verbal violence, etc.

In the name of the one who taught us to take up the cross, the church often took up the sword and nailed others to the cross.Hence, in the name of winning the world for Jesus Christ, the church often became the main obstacle to believing in Jesus Christ. GregB.

Hey, let's change this! Don't want to go there again! Blessings to you Saints.

Couldn't resist huh?
Ok, as long as you're here I'll tell you a little story.

When my daughter was a little girl, about eight years old, she went fishing with her Dad. They were on a very rapid river. My little girl fell in the river and was being washed downstream. Her Dad was not even aware of it.

All of a sudden, my daughter who is now 28 tells,
she was being lifted from the water. This old man put her on the bank and saw to it she was ok then told her to go back to her Dad.

She went running to find her Dad, told him all about what happened; then the two of them went looking for this man, to thank him. There was no sign of anyone.

Praise God that HE saved my baby. She is saved!
Hallelujah! Love you Saints of God!

Prayer For Deliverance Jul 15, 2007 8:40 pm
Mood: joyful, 326 Views
Father God,

To you be all praise and honor and glory and majesty! We love you and adore you our Holy Holy
God.

Lord, your word says that it shall come to pass, that before we call, you will answer; and while we are yet speaking, you will hear. You hear the cry of our hearts, and we desire your desire.

I call out now to you Lord, you the restorer, the repairer of the breach.Your word says that you will save our offspring from the land of their exile, from the east and the west-sons from afar and daughters from the ends of the earth. We shall see our children walking in the ways of righteousness, and revering your name, Father. Those who err in spirit will come to understanding. Those who murmer discontentedly will accept instruction in the way, Jesus.

You give us safety, O Lord and we magnify your name. Glory to you our Beautiful Savior!

Lord, I surrender all to you. I hang on to nothing. My family is in your hand, and you breath on them life and safety and peace.

You call back those who have strayed, you set before them ministers of truth, and truth seeks them out, day and night in all situations and circumstances. We thank you Lord for they are yours, and safe, and will be like trees planted by the waters, and shew forth praises to you forever and ever! Hallelujah.

O Mighty King, thank you for your love and mercy and grace. In Jesus name, Amen.
