Trouble is swirling about on all sides. Times are perilous. There is a whirlwind of principalities.
God has picked me up and placed my in the palm of his hand. Though the storm rages without, I am fully protected in him. He has given me his peace. I rest in him. All is well.

Yippee! I have all day to catch up on all kinds of things. We have 7+ inches with 4 more on the way! Snow. The snow hill will be packed today. May have to go over there later with the sleds and tube. I prefer the tube. Probably, I will be lazy and sit here at my pc for a few hours more.

Praise God for this day! Bless you.

P.S. The power is blinky, I'm so glad I got monster surge protectors. Whew!

Seeds of Enmity Jan 9, 2008 7:09 am

It began before 9/11. It began in the tents of Sarai and Abram. The Lord said unto Abram,
Look now toward Heaven, and tell the stars, if
thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, so shall thy seed be. Gen.15;5.
Then, there, was Abram, and Sarai, and the bondwoman Hagar who bare Ishmael. And this, because Sarai desired her longing be fulfilled
in Sarai's timing. Then, of grace, Sarah bore
Isaac, and all his seed were an everlasting
covenant with God. And so between these brothers, Issac and Ishmael, there was jealousy,and there was enmity. This is the longest running feud in the history of eternity.
From all this is the battle that will not stop until our Lord returns.

Let us not forget to pray. Bless you.

Father God,
All glory to you, Holy One.
Ministering spirits of God,go forth in the mighty name of Yeshua and have your perfect will in this place, to set back by your mighty and Holy hand
the principalities, powers and forces of darkness that would come against your desire for your beloved.
Your word says you will deliver those for whom we intercede, through our cleanhandedness we ask
your mercy and forgiveness for this land and all
these your people.
Your word says your gifts are irrevocable, that
you will never rescend.
Bless our troops Lord, as we stand for your jewel
Israel. Give them comfort Lord, bring your supernatural victory and mercy to them and their efforts.
Forgive us Lord that we have not sought your will on our faces night and day, with tears. Can we now receive your Holy Unction to pray. Give us this day the prayers of your desire.
We praise you God that you will forgive your peculiar treasure and spare us your people.
As the horses are mounted, we pray your perfect
will be done.
In the name of Jesus Christ our redeemer, Amen.

Have you ever wondered why other Non- Christians would come to this site? In the case of Muslims, I investigated, and found that it has to do with making "jihad". This is what I found. From Christian answers.

net
Do Muslims have any guarantee of salvation?

Muslims have no guarantee of being saved. They believe that all their works will be accounted for and that on Judgment Day, if your bad works outweigh your good works, you are going to go to hell. But if your good works outweigh your bad works, you'll probably go to heaven. (Since God is all-powerful, they concede that He may do with you as He pleases, even if you have been very righteous. They hope He won't be having a "bad day" at Judgment.) A third possibility is that you could go to hell and burn your sins off for a while and then be allowed into heaven. The only way Muslims can be guaranteed to go to heaven is through "jihad." Although it is often translated "holy war," "jihad" literally means "exerting force for God." One could be in "jihad" by writing a book about Islam, or by sharing his faith to bring others to Islam, or by physically fighting for the cause of Islam. If a Muslim dies in "jihad," he is guaranteed to go to heaven.
Just as Christians have the Bible, Muslims have the Quran. They believe the Quran was dictated to Mohammed by God through the angel Gabriel. Muslims are also told in the Quran to read three other holy books: the Torah (which are the first five books of the Old Testament), the Zabur (which are the Psalms of David), and the Injeel (the gospel of Christ).

Where do they meet?

Muslims around the world gather on Fridays in mosques. Mosques are buildings where men (and sometimes women, depending upon the country) pray to God. In a mosque during prayer time, all Muslims face toward Mecca, the birthplace of Islam, where Mohammed had his vision. Where men and women pray together, usually the men are in the front and women in the back.

What do Muslims believe in?

"Islam has seven fundamental beliefs that every Muslim must accept as a part of his/her religion (the Emanul Mufassil, or Faith Listed in Detail). Every Muslim learns this formula as a part of his/her religious training." *

"Belief in God" (who, in Arabic, is named "Allah")
"Belief in the angels" (both good and bad)
"Belief in the revealed Books of God
Belief in God's many prophets" (including Adam, Abraham, Moses, David, and other Christians and Jews are familiar with)
"Accepting that there will be a Last Day
Belief in the divine measurement of human affairs
Belief in life after death"
* Yahiya Emerick, Understanding Islam (Indianapolis: Alpha Books, 2002, p. 18.)
Muslims also believe in Satan and in a Day of Judgment on which God will send people to either heaven or hell. They also believe that Ishmael (the father of the Arab world), not Isaac, received the promise from God through Abraham; this helps to explain why Arab Muslims feel that their claim to the Holy Land is a God-given right.

>> Why do many Arab Christians refer to God as "Allah"?

Is it true that Islam is a lot like Christianity?

Although the two religions share some terminology and even some theology (monotheism, for instance), Islam is fundamentally different from Christianity. Islam is a works-oriented religion, while Christian faith is based on salvation by grace through faith as a result of the shed blood of Christ. In Islam, if God wants to forgive sin, He simply says, "It is forgiven." Christianity recognizes the necessity of the shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sin. (Hebrews 9:22)

What do Muslims think about Jesus?

All Muslims believe Jesus was born of a virgin and that he was a great prophet--yet he was only a man. They believe he was sent by God to help people obey God. Islam claims Jesus spoke as a baby, healed the sick, and raised the dead. The Quran refers to Jesus as the breath of God, the spirit of God, the life of God and the word of God. Muslims do not think Jesus died on the cross. They believe that right before he was to be killed, God took him up to heaven and someone else (probably Judas) replaced him on the cross. They trust that Jesus will return to the earth again to usher in the final judgment from God and confirm that Islam is the true and final religion for all mankind. (Yes, Muslims believe in the second coming of Christ!)

We support Israel because all other nations were created by an act of men,

but Israel was created by an act of God!

The Royal Land Grant that was given to Abraham and his seed through Isaac and Jacob with an everlasting and unconditional covenant. (Genesis 12:1-3, 13:14-18, 15:1-21, 17:4-8, 22:15-18, 26:1-5 and Psalm 89:28-37.)

Want to make a little kid happy? Give them a flashlight to play with.

There is just something about a flashlight. I love
them! It is annoying that the batteries need to be often replaced; so I went to my trusty survival outlet and got the kind that work with three power options: battery, solar, or crank the handle. Awesome.

Not just enthused about flashlights, lighting in general flips my switch (hehe). Lamps and candles, lovely! Let there be light!

Light dispells darkness. Light is a comfort.

We are called to be salt and light. As we walk this terra we are to be the light of Jesus to a dark and lost world.

While light chases away our fears and the monsters in the dark, such as when I was a child;
the light that is Jesus chases away the real powers of darkness in the here and now.

We are the children of light! Bless the Lord!
Bless you Saints of God! Let us reflect HIS light!

Calvinism: Taken from About
Definition:
Calvinism is the Protestant theological system designed by John Calvin (1509-1564). John Calvin (Jean Cauvin in French) was an important figure in the Protestant Reformation and created in the city of Geneva, Switzerland, a theocratic state ruled entirely by his own ideas of what a Christian state should be. One of the most influential of modern Calvinist theologians has been Karl Barth (1886-196.

Theology:
Calvinist theology is often labeled "federal" or "covenental." According to this perspective, God has made two agreements or covenants with humanity, both of which are important when it comes to understanding human history. The first was the coventant of works, made with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. It is called a covenant of works because it was based upon behavior - Adam and Eve adhered to the agreement so long as they refrained from on particular action: eating the fruit of a particular tree. Nothing else was forbidden.

Unfortunately for Adam and Eve, they didn't obey this one command and so "fell," being subject now to disease and death. God, however, took pity on them and so entered into a new covenant with humanity. This time it wasn't based upon obedience because that is simply beyond humans; instead, the new covenant is based upon confessing their faults and having faith in God through Jesus Christ.

Doctrines:
Calvinist theology is translated into the following basic doctrines, expressed by the word TULIP:

T: Total Depravity (Inability) refers to the fact that human sin has affected every aspect of the human character - thought, emotions, will, etc. Calvinism teaches that an unsaved person is completely unable to find salvation on his or her own. Salvation is only possible if God wills it and causes it through the work of the Holy Spirit.

U: Unconditional Election is the doctrine which teaches that God chooses some to be saved and some to be damned. These choices are not, however, based upon any acts performed by those people or any merit which they have achieved (otherwise, there would be a violation of the principle of Total Depravity).

According to Calvinism, election and damnation are based solely upon God's will and nothing else. In fact, election and damnation were decided before the world was even created, which results in complete predestination for all humans. Somehow, though, humans are still responsible to believe in Christianity - not that this appears to do any good. Denying either is heresy, thus it is necessary to believe both, despite the fact that they contradict each other.

L: Limited Atonement is a concept which teaches that Christ died for the sins of some (those predestined to heaven), but not for others (those predestined to hell). Thus, Christ did not die for the sins of the entire world, because otherwise the entire world would go to heaven. Instead, Calvinists believe that Christ died to atone for the specific sins of specific sinners, and only God knows who they are.

I: Irresistible Grace refers to the fact that when God has bestowed his grace upon a person because they have been predestined for heaven, it is impossible for a person to "resist" this grace and not end up in heaven. No matter what they do and no matter what they think, they are saved. In Calvinism, this is the corollary of the principle of Total Depravity, which teaches that it doesn't matter what a person does or thinks, it is impossible for them to avoid hell unless that happens to be what God wills. Calvinists take comfort in the idea that God's love will overcome their sins, but only because they assume that they are among the elect.

P: Perseverance of the Saints is the doctrine which argues that the saints (i.e., those whom God has saved) will always remain under God's protection until they are brought to heaven. In other words: Once a Saint, Always a Saint. The difference between this and Irresistible Grace is more a matter of emphasis than content.

Hello Saints of God!

Perhaps we have different, temperaments, beliefs, circumstances, incomes, education, different social affiliations. Perhaps you cannot see a common bond. There is. More than one. It is the reason when I spent Christmas in a Pueblo, I did not share the same language, but the women in that little house and I enjoyed celebrating Christmas. We have one God. He loves us all. In this Pueblo instance, we were women, we had babies, we loved our families. I think the language factor was not even an issue.

This is a little song that I love to sing. It is a plea for love. God Bless you, Saints.

Bind us together, Lord,
Bind us together
With cords that cannot be broken.
Bind us together, Lord,
Bind us together,
Bind us together with love.

There is only one God,
There is only one King,
There is only one Body,
That is why we sing:

Made for the glory of God,
Purchased by His precious Son.
Born with the right to be clean,
For Jesus the victory has won.

You are the family of God,
You are the promise divine,
You are God's chosen desire,
You are the glorious new wine.

What Free Will Baptists Believe

God--We believe that God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Righteous Ruler of the universe. He has revealed Himself in nature, and in the Scriptures of the Holy Bible as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: yet as one God.
Jesus Christ-He is God's unique Son; the only one of a kind. The Scripture teaches that He is God revealed in flesh. In His Divine nature He is truly God and in His human nature truly man. He is the One once crucified for man's sin, the now risen and glorified Savior and Lord who mediates between God and man and who gives us access to the Father through His intercession. None can come to the Father unless they come through Him.
Holy Spirit--All of the attributes of God are ascribed to the Holy Spirit by the Scriptures. It is He who convicts and convinces men of their sin. He also convinces man of that which is right, and that a final day of judgment will come. He, it is, who comes to live in us at conversion, to open our understanding to the Scripture, and to lead us into the truth.
The Bible--God used holy men to write the Scriptures. They are, in both the Old and New Testaments, the very words God intended us to have. They are, as given by God, without error and are our only rule of faith and practice. We profit from them by learning the truth about many things: they also speak to us about wrong doing; they even correct us and get us back on course as well as instructing us in right living.
Man--God created man in a state of innocence. Man, being tempted by Satan, yielded and willfully disobeyed God, becoming a sinner and incurring God's judgment upon sin. All of Adam's descendants inherit his fallen nature and thus have a natural inclination to sin. When one comes to an age of accountability, he is guilty of sinning before God and in need of salvation.
God's Relationship to His Creatures and Creation-God exercises a wise and benevolent providence over all beings and things. He maintains the laws of nature and performs special acts as the highest welfare of mankind and His created order of things require.
Salvation--Man receives pardon and forgiveness for his sins when he admits to God that he is a sinner, when in godly sorrow he turns from them and trusts in the work of Christ as redemption for his sin. This acceptance of God's great salvation involves belief in Christ's death on the cross as man's substitute and the fact of God's raising Him from the dead as predicted. It is a salvation by grace alone and not of works.
Who Can be Saved?--It is God's will that all be saved, but since man has the power of choice, God saves only those who repent of their sin and believe in the work of Christ on the cross. Those who refuse in this life to repent and believe have no later chance to be saved and thus condemn themselves to eternal damnation by their unbelief.
Perseverance--We believe that there are strong grounds to hope that the saved will persevere unto the end and be saved because of the power of divine grace pledged for their support. We believe that any saved person who has sinned (whether we call him a backslider or sinner), but has a desire to repent, may do so and be restored to God's favor and fellowship. Since man, however, continues to have free choice, it is possible because of temptations and the weakness of human flesh for him to fall into the practice of sin and to make shipwreck of his faith and be lost.
Gospel Ordinances--Free Will Baptists believe the Bible teaches three ordinances for the church to practice: Baptism in water by immersion, the Lord's Supper, to be perpetuated until His return, and the Washing of the Saints' feet, an ordinance teaching humility.
Resurrection--Free Will Baptists believe the Scriptures teach the resurrection of the bodies of all men, each in its own order; they that have done good will come forth to the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil to the resurrection of damnation.
Church Government--Free Will Baptist churches enjoy local church autonomy (self-governing). The local church is the highest authority in the denomination. Local churches voluntarily organize themselves into quarterly meetings, district, state, and national associations for the purpose of promoting the cause of Christ on the local, state, district, national, and world-wide level.
Christ's Second Coming--The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ, who ascended on high and sits at the right hand of God, will come again to close the Gospel dispensation, glorify His saints, and judge the world.
Missions--Free Will Baptists believe that Jesus commanded the church to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. For an in-depth study of Free Will Baptist beliefs and practices, click here for the Free Will Baptist Treatise. Liberty Free Will Church of Portland Website

We are members of the American Baptist Association

1. We believe that love one for another as Jesus loves the believer manifests our discipleship, proves our love for God and symbolizes our authority as New Testament churches. Love is therefore the great commandment of the LORD Jesus Christ upon which all others are dependent (Matt. 22:35-40; John 13:34, 35; John 15:12; 1 John 4-21; 1 John 5:1-3;
Rev. 2:4, 5).

2. We believe in the infallible, verbal inspiration of the whole Bible and that the Bible is the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice (Psalm 119:160; 2 Tim. 3:16, 17).

3. We believe in the personal triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in divine perfection (Matt. 28:19).

4. We believe in the Genesis account of Creation (Gen. 1; 2).

5. We believe that Satan is a fallen angel, the archenemy of God and man, the unholy god of this world, and that his destiny is the eternal lake of fire (Isa. 14:12-15; Ezek. 28:11-19;
Matt. 25:41; 2 Cor. 4:4; Eph. 6:10-17; Rev. 20:10).

6. We believe in the virgin birth and sinless humanity of Jesus Christ (Matt. 1:18-20;
2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Peter 2:22).

7. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ (John 10:30; John 1:1, 14; 2 Cor. 5:19).

8. We believe the Holy Spirit is the divine Administrator for Jesus Christ in His churches (Luke 24:49; John 14:16, 17; Acts 1:4, 5, 8; Acts 2:1-4).

9. We believe that miraculous spiritual manifestation gifts were done away when the Bible was completed. Faith, Hope and Love are the vital abiding Spiritual Gifts (1 Cor. chapters 12-14).

10. We believe that Man was created in the image of God and lived in innocency until he fell by voluntary transgression from his sinless state, the result being that all mankind are sinners (Gen. 1:26; Gen. 3:6-24; Rom. 5:12, 19).

11. We believe that the suffering and death of Jesus Christ was substitutionary for all mankind and is efficacious only to those who believe (Isa. 53:6; Heb. 2:9; 1 Peter 2:24;
1 Peter 3:18; 2 Peter 3:9; 1 John 2:2).

12. We believe in the bodily resurrection and ascension of Christ and the bodily resurrection of His saints (Matt. 28:1-7; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Cor. 15:42-58; 1 Thess. 4:13-1.

13. We believe in the premillennial, personal, bodily return of Christ as the crowning event of the Gentile age. This event will include the resurrection of the righteous to eternal heaven, and the Millennium will be followed by the resurrection of the unrighteous unto eternal punishment in the lake of fire and that the righteous shall enter into the heaven age (John 14:1-6;
1 Thess. 4:13-18; 2 Thess. 2:8; Rev. 19; Rev. 20:4-6; Rev. 20:11-15; Rev. 21:.

14. We believe that the depraved sinner is saved wholly by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and the requisites to regeneration are repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 13:3-5; John 3:16-18; Acts 20:21; Rom. 6:23; Eph. 2:8, 9), and that the Holy Spirit convicts sinners, regenerates, seals, secures, and indwells every believer (John 3:6; John 16:8, 9; Rom. 8:9-11; 1 Cor. 6:19, 20; Eph. 4:30; Titus 3:5).

15. We believe that all who trust Jesus Christ for salvation are eternally secure in Him and shall not perish (John 3:36; John 5:24; John 10:27-30; Rom. 8:35-39; Heb. 10:39; 1 Peter 1:5).

16. We believe that God deals with believers as His children, that He chastises the disobedient, and that He rewards the obedient (Matt. 16:27; Matt. 25:14-23; John 1:12;
Heb. 12:5-11; 2 John 8; Rev. 22:12).

17. We believe that Jesus Christ established His church during His ministry on earth and that it is always a local, visible assembly of scripturally baptized believers in covenant relationship to carry out the Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ, and each church is an independent, self-governing body, and no other ecclesiastical body may exercise authority over it. We believe that Jesus Christ gave the Great Commission to the New Testament churches only, and that He promised the perpetuity of His churches (Matt. 4:18-22; Matt. 16:18; Matt. 28:19, 20; Mark 1:14-20; John 1:35-51; Eph. 3:21).

18. We believe that there are two pictorial ordinances in the Lord's churches: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Scriptural baptism is the immersion of penitent believers in water, administered by the authority of a New Testament church in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Lord's Supper is a memorial ordinance, restricted to the members of the church observing the ordinance (Matt. 28:19, 20; Acts 8:12, 38; Rom. 6:4; 1 Cor. 5:11-13;
1 Cor. 11:1, 2, 17-20, 26).

19. We believe that there are two divinely appointed offices in a church, pastors and deacons, to be filled by men whose qualifications are set forth in Titus and 1 Timothy.

20. We believe that all associations, fellowships, and committees are, and properly should be, servants of, and under control of the churches (Matt. 20:25-2.

21. We believe in freedom of worship without interference from the government and affirm our belief in civil obedience, unless the laws and regulations of civil government run contrary to the Holy Scriptures (Rom. 13:1-7; 1 Peter 2:13-15).
