Trouble is swirling about on all sides. Times are perilous. There is a whirlwind of principalities.
God has picked me up and placed my in the palm of his hand. Though the storm rages without, I am fully protected in him. He has given me his peace. I rest in him. All is well.

I have won! Dec 29, 2008 11:17 am

Just this past week, I have won so many wonderful things! Imagine, I was the 999,999th visitor to a site and won a fabulous something. I won a laptop, an IPOD a big screen tv, a vacation cruise, and even more! Isn't that amazing? Of course, not being materialistic I didn't even bother to click on the spot directed to receive my prize. Nope. Just smiled magnanimously knowing I am blessed to the teeth without any prizes! Hehehehehehehehe.

Yes, I'm talking about the ad on bigchurch that is there to perpetually distract and beguile folks to click that dreaded button that sends one into a popup nightmare. Never used to be there until they redid things here. Anyway, have a blessed day Saints.

How often are we robbed of Blessings of all sorts? It's as if:
We're sailing along just fine and we see a ship off in the distance with a skull and crossbones. We hear the music of violins and castanets and we hearken!
We begin to steer closer and listen. We have now set our course to go see what's up with this fascinating ship. We draw closer and closer and finally draw along side.

We see the pirates dancing and drinking and making merry and somehow this seems very familiar.
Almost comfortable.
"Aye Mate! calls out the biggest, meanest looking pirate. What are you about this day? Where be you sailing?"

Well, says us, "We are in HIS MAJESTY the KING"S
service, and we are sailing to new places of
faith, hope, joy and peace with HIM. We are starting a new journey with very little to slow us down. Looks like smooth sailing with the King."

The Pirate squints his eyes while regarding us and our ship."That ship will never make it that far, says he. I've been on these waters a long time now and I tell you, your ship is not fit for
the challenges of the storms you'll see. In the sea of loss you will flounder and sink. That's only if you don't get poisoned by the water in the straits of bitter offence. Not to mention the sea demons of wormwood bay.
Matey, I only say this for your own good; turn back. But come join us now, we're friendly pirates
and you being stuck in your "situation," we'll
flatter you and cheer you with spirits. Come, be with us."

This pirate cocked his head, and gave us a measuring look. To whom would we hearken?

How many times do we as King's kids sabotage blessings, because we feel unworthy to receive?
Oft we can't accept we will be blessed in so many ways. It goes against our life stories.

I rebuke the one who would hold us back. We are the KINGS kids. We hold a share in all HIS riches and Glory. It is our inheritance! Believe and receive. Reach out. Step up. When that little voice inside says, I can't, don't listen. Tie that pirate up and stuff him in a barrel or throw him out the window. Just like Jezebel got tossed
out the window. Love you Saints!

Did you hear about Bun? No what, do tell. Do tell.Well, I heard that Bun started smoking!!!!!
No!!!!! Who told you? Well, Don saw her driving with a cigarette in her mouth, and what's more the reason she is so stressed out is her son has started gambling ...he does drink too ya know.
Well, I'm gonna call Martha Sue and see what she has to say about all this. After all, Bun is in the choir and if we let a smoker be in the choir the next thing you know anyone off the street is gonna want to come in here and be part of us. Have you told Zelda yet? No, but I'm going to call her and a few others as soon as we hang up. After all, we must be the watchers and make sure we keep this place HOLY and PURE. One more thing, I heard Michelle is getting married. I think she had to, that's what I think!

Following Sunday at Church: Betty and Martha and Sue and Lou corral Bun and Martha says:
" Bun, we all wanted to talk to you. You must realize we come to you in love........"
:

How many have been chased away from God through
judgement, envy, bitterness and strife?

Let us esteem others as better than ourselves.
Let us treasure and love them and lift them up.
Let us remember Jesus!!!
Praise God!

The King of Glory Dec 28, 2008 1:47 pm

24The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. 2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. [1] Selah.

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

Love v/s evil Dec 28, 2008 1:36 pm

Simple love for God will overcome most of the evil in our heart, and it is the most powerful weapon against evil in the world.
Because loving God is our highest goal, it must be the primary focus of our lives. This is why one of the enemies most deceptive and deadly attacks upon the church is meant to divert us from this ultimate quest.
It is Satan's strategy to keep us focused on the evil in our lives, knowing that we will become what we are beholding (see 2 Cor. 3 v.18.)
As long as we keep looking at the evil, it will continue to have dominion over us; rather than our true calling of being focused on the glory of the Lord and the cross.
Where love abounds, there is Jesus!

Christian "like" Dec 28, 2008 1:25 pm

Approximately 85% of Americans identify themselves as Christians. Yet, we say we are Christians, show me the fruit.

Personally, some of the most anti-christ people I have ever met call themselves Christian. When I see them lie, go after vengeance, cheat, steal, and all other sort of lifestyle choices, I know they are not Christian. That is not comforting.
With this "Christian-LIKE" going on all over America, the term "Christianity" stirs some bitter feelings, bad relationships, elitist resentment, and plain ole bad will. In the ranks and out of the ranks.

Person to person and nation to nation.

If a follower of Christ and devoted adherent to the living word of God could be dropped into the country with no pre-assumptions, what would they think? He would look at the mega
churches and most likely wonder why the tables of the money-changers are not being turned over. Just wait. Justice will be swift and true.

They look at our "Christian pets" which are abortion and homosexuality. Truly, we who believe and follow after Christ will not practice such things, but certainly blowing up clinics of innocent people to enforce our morals is over the top. Stop killing or I'll just have to kill you!

Deception is running high and we are easily culturally fooled.
Jesus said very plainly that we are to love our enemies-not join them in sin. He clearly stated that we are to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, comfort prisoners.

How beautifully simplistic. This is apparently harder to do than one would think. Do not believe the lie that if you accept Jesus what you do dosen't matter. We must be accountable to Jesus commands. Jesus is not a lottery ticket,or get out of jail free pass, nor is he Santa Clause.

He is our Lord and Savior, strong tower, Shepherd of our Souls, Blessed redeemer, Holy One, The Truth, The Light, he is all we need, and will see us through each step in this life. Dosen't mean it will be a cakewalk, though. Blessings, Saints of God.
