I've taken down most my posts against Obamas liberal socialistic views Oct 26, 2008 10:07 am

Because I have found that there are many in the church especialy here on B.C. who blindly seem to think socialism is the only godly path for a society to follow by changing personal indivisual charity in looking after and caring for those less fortunate to state forced strong armed enforecment. That means no person or organization can succeed and become sussessful in their pursuit of living life as ganranntee by the U.S. constituion until they have had the goverment strip them of over 50% or more of their income to redistribute among the poor!

Kark Marz the father of communism believed that socialism would the natural out come of capitalism which was then the stepping stone to a totalalitarian form of goverment! It's traggic to see that so many in the liberal left that call themselves christians have fallen into this twisted thinking that it's the goverments duty and calling to care for the poor through cradle to grave entittlments through extremly higher taxzation of the "rich" so they can give to the poor!

This left wing liberal socialistic body of the church is focused on the issues of enviroment, feeding the poor, and ending poverty which all three are important and we as Christians need to be not only concern but active in trying to eradicate and preserve but it is the church, the body of beleivers, and moral men and women outside of it indivisual efforts that are the means of doing that and not the role of the goverment to see to this.

What I find toatly shocking and confounds me completely is that this group that names the name of Christ are tetthered to a polictical party and philosophy that promises to make the govement the enforcer of looking after these disinfanchised poor amoung us and looking after the enviroment by placing restritions on our energy needs and preserving animals above preserving the basic rights of all human beings!

Anyone or any group that doesn't understand or know that it is God alone who gives life but will insist on a woman's right to chose in terminating [ending] those live's or lamely excuses his record for violating one of God's commandments not to kill as not knowing when life begins because it's really just above his pay grade is not the man you want to have in the Presisential office where he may more than likely be nominating between 1 and possibly 3 new supreme court judges in the years ahead.

The reason I'm shifitng gears and stearing away from Obamas socialistic leaning mind set and agenda is to focus onto whats truly more important to God concerning all the issues at stake in this years election. The economy is important make no doubt about that but who can really know whats the best course of action to take when everyone is a so called expert as evident here on B.C. and eveyone disagrees with each other?

So I'll ask my left wing leaning democratic friends would the economy and remember no one can say "I have the answer to our economic woes" with absoulute certainty because it's only opinion based upon one's policital philosopies and preferences, and I will end the poverty levels and make bring us all to the same level playing field by trying to play Robing Hood in stealing form the rich to give to the poor. Are these issues more important than the right to life of every single human being that God alone creates and we know he has told us that He knew us when we were yet still in our mothers womb where He was forming our bodies and personalities as our spirits already were residing in them having taken certaing genes and cromosones from both our parents to make us into a completely unique person from all the billions of others that have come before or after us!

We know where God stands on this and we know where He stands on changing the diffinition of marriage to include same gender marriages as He has called this lifestyle an abomination, His word not mine! We know what Jesus said about harming one of these little ones [children] and how it would be better, much better, if a millstone was tied to his neck and thrown into the deepest ocean than cause hurt or one of them to stumble! So would we be doing that in anyway if we appoved this form of lifestyle to become the law of the land and then to be taught to these "little ones" as a viable and perfectly moral acceptable way before God to live if they chose to do so later on in life when they are still in their formative and impressional years?

Do you really think the envirvorment, the economy, feeding the poor, trying to end poverty by state compultion by stealing from the rich and giving it the poor has promindance before God over these other two issues? Do you really? Are you going to do as most liberal polictians and even some conservatives that are more concern
about pleasing man other than pleasing God as Barak Obama certainly is and smooth talk around these sins to justify his ungodly worldview???

The next President will nominate from 1 to up to 3 possible new Surpreme court judges who will be shaping U.S. law long after they are gone if they should served a 2 term 8 year presidency. The two major opposing oragniztions "Right to life" and "Plan parenthood" both know how important it will be in what kind of judges are put on the bench and most but unfortuneatly not all Pastors and laymen in the Christian faith also know the importance in whose on the Supreme court as it is only a matter of time before they will have a case before them diffineing just what constitudes a marriage which will not only become the law of the land but as I said taught to our very young and influence and indcotrinated their moral thinking and compass in what is truly pleaseing and exceptable to God about how they should live!

I'm sure the liberals will flock here and just like Obama rather convincinly smooth talk their way around what God holds dear and true to His heart for His creation! Go ahead men are always looking for ways to justify their evil lifestyles and sadly even some of the church has boutht into their lies and believe them too!

When Does Human Life Begin? Don't ask Obama it's above his pay grade! Oct 26, 2008 8:41 am

When Does Human Life Begin?

T here is a tremendous consensus in the scientific community about when life begins. This is hardly controversial. If the claim were made that life was discovered on another planet, for example, there are well-defined criteria to which we could refer to conclusively determine whether the claim was accurate. How do scientists distinguish between life and non-life?

A scientific textbook called “Basics of Biology” gives five characteristics of living things; these five criteria are found in all modern elementary scientific textbooks:

1. Living things are highly organized.

2. All living things have an ability to acquire materials and energy.

3. All living things have an ability to respond to their environment.

4. All living things have an ability to reproduce.

5. All living things have an ability to adapt.

According to this elementary definition of life, life begins at fertilization, when a seed [cannot use the other word or B.C. will not allow the post] unites with an oocyte. From this moment, the being is highly organized, has the ability to acquire materials and energy, has the ability to respond to his or her environment, has the ability to adapt, and has the ability to reproduce (the cells divide, then divide again, etc., and barring pathology and pending reproductive maturity has the potential to reproduce other members of the species). Non-living things do not do these things. Even before the mother is aware that she is pregnant, a distinct, unique life has begun his or her existence inside her.

Furthermore, that life is unquestionably human. A human being is a member of the species homo sapiens. Human beings are products of conception, which is when a human male sperm unites with a human female oocyte (egg). When humans procreate, they don’t make non-humans like slugs, monkeys, cactuses, bacteria, or any such thing. Emperically-verifiable proof is as close as your nearest abortion clinic: send a sample of an aborted fetus to a laboratory and have them test the DNA to see if its human or not. Genetically, a new human being comes into existence from the earliest moment of conception.

“I will neither give a deadly drug to anybody if asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to this effect. Similarly, I will not give to a woman an abortive remedy.” Hippocrates, 400 B.C., Greece

Biologically, from the moment of conception this new human being is not a part of the mother’s body. Since when does a mother’s body have male organs [word changed to acommendate B.C. censors] two brains, four kidneys? The preborn human being may be dependent upon the mother for nutrition, however, this does not diminish his or her humanity, but proves it. Moreover, dependence upon a parent for survival is not a capital crime.

"To accept the fact that after fertilization has taken place a new human has come into being is no longer a matter of taste or opinion ... it is plain experimental evidence." The "Father of Modern Genetics" Dr. Jerome Lejeune, Univ. of Descarte, Paris

At the average time when a woman is aware that she is pregnant (the fifth to sixth week after conception), the preborn human being living inside her is metabolizing nutrition, excreting waste, moving, sucking his or her thumb, growing, and doing many other things that non-living things just do not do. As early as 21 days after conception, the baby’s heart has begun to beat his or her own unique blood-type, often different than the mother’s. (Moore & Persaud, The Developing Human, p.310; Nilsson & Hamberger, A Child is Born, p.86; Rugh & Shettles, From Conception to Birth, p.217.) At 40 days after conception, brain waves can be read on an EEG, or an electroencephalogram. (Dr. H. Hamlin, Life or Death by EEG, JAMA, Oct.12, 1964, p.113.)

"By all the criteria of modern molecular biology, life is present from the moment of conception." Dr. Hymie Gordon, Chairman, Department of Genetics at the Mayo Clinic

Medical science already refers to a spontaneous heart rhythm and the presence of brain waves to determine whether someone is alive at the other spectrum of human existence. In simplistic terms, if an organ donor is in an automobile accident and is on life support in a hospital, the physician cannot “pull the plug” and donate the patient’s organs to others unless the patient is “brain dead” and his heart is not beating on its own. If the medical community maintained consistency with this generally-accepted medical definition of human life, then we would condemn every abortion after the time when the average woman discovers she is pregnant. Every abortion, by the generally-accepted standards of medical science, aborts an innocent human life.

One of the most amazing photographs I have ever seen is of a surgery being performed on a 21 week-old fetus named Samuel Armas. The boy is having surgery performed in utero for his spina bifida. In the photograph, the unconscious boy’s hand is poking through the surgical incision in the uterus and is resting on the finger of the surgeon. The picture paints a thousand words that my mere words cannot match, but allow me to draw attention to the obvious fact that the surgeon is performing surgery on one living human being who is residing in the womb of another living human being.

“Yeah,” the pro-choice attorney rebuts, “but is it a person?”

In Roe vs. Wade, Justice Harry Blackmun noted, “The appellee and certain amici argue that the fetus is a ‘person’ within the language and meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment. In support of this, they outline at length and in detail the well-known facts of fetal development. If this suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant's case, of course, collapses, for the fetus' right to life would then be guaranteed specifically by the (Fourteenth) Amendment.”

According to Webster’s Seventh New Collegiate Dictionary, a person is “a human being.” Attempts to render an entire class of human beings as “non-persons” based upon arbitrary qualities such as age and place of residence in order to discriminate against them is immoral and unjust. History is full of infamous examples of governments legalizing the discrimination of an entire class of human beings by rendering them “non-persons.” Jews were rendered “sub-humans” in Germany in the 1940’s and colonial slaveowners bought and sold Africans as “property.” As a matter of fact, the Supreme Court in 1857 ruled that Dred Scott, a black slave, was not a “person” with rights but the “property” of his master. Was the Court wrong then? Of course! The Supreme Court of 1973 that legalized abortion nationwide with its Roe v. Wade decision was just as immoral and unjust. They dehumanized an entire class of human beings in order to legitimize wholesale discrimination against them. Abortion may go down in history as the greatest human rights abuse of all time.

As our nation’s founding documents make clear, the right to life is God-given and inalienable. The right to live cannot be legitimately usurped by men. No man, no government has the right to deprive one of life or liberty without a trial by jury, regardless of skin color, age, stage of development, level of dependence upon others for survival, or place of residence.

Abortion results in the death of an innocent human being. It is immoral and unjust when evaluated in the light of the law of the land (our founding documents) and the divine commandment that forbids taking the life of an innocent human being (Exodus 20:13).

A Biblical Perspective on Abortion

by Jonathan Hall Barlow

Abortion is perhaps the most highly debated social issue of our time. With more than 27 million abortions that have occurred in the period from 1973 to 1991, almost everyone has an opinion on the issue. The abortion issue has been used as a symbol of independence in the feminist movement, and has been clouded by many other issues such as rape and incest. However, in order to obtain a Biblical view of abortion, one must rake away the muck which obscures the main questions about abortion, and concentrate on the issue's essence.

The primary point of conflict in the entire abortion debate is the question of when life begins. If indeed life begins in the womb, then no one could disagree that the fetus (latin for `little one') is a human being, and is subject to the rights (God's laws concerning humanity) which befit a human being. First, the Bible establishes that God recognizes a person even before he or she is born. "Before I was born the Lord called me" (Isaiah 49:1). Exodus 21:22-23 describes a situation in which a man hits a pregnant woman and causes her to give birth prematurely. If there is "no serious injury," the man is required to pay a fine, but if there is "serious injury," either to the mother or the child, then the man is guilty of murder and subject to the penalty of death. This command, in itself, legitimizes the humanity of the unborn child, and places the child on a level equal that of the adult male who caused the miscarriage. Scriptural support abounds for the humanity of the unborn child. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made . . . your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be" (Ps 139: 13-16). The Bible, in fact, uses the same Greek word to describe the unborn John the Baptist (Luke 1:41,44), the newborn baby Jesus (Luke 2:12,16), and the young children who were brought to Jesus for his blessing (Luke 18:15).

Perhaps the most stark Biblical revelation of the humanity of the unborn comes in Jeremiah 20, during Jeremiah's cry of woe in which he laments that he wishes he had never been born, "Cursed be the man who brought my father the news, who made him very glad, saying 'A child is born to you - a son!' . . . For he did not kill me in the womb with my mother as my grave" (Jeremiah 20:15-17).

In the aforementioned verses, and in countless other verses, the Bible does indeed establish that an unborn child is just as much a human in God's eyes as we ourselves are. This indicates that the command "Thou Shall not Murder" (Exodus 20:13) certainly applies to the unborn as well as the already born. Thus, when we read Genesis 9:6, the full realization of what it means to murder comes in to focus, "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made man." Murder is an abomination in the sight of God because it is the unauthorized killing of a being made in His own image, and a blurring of the creator/creature distinction (cf. Romans 1).

Though the question of when life begins is important to many, the question more representative of today's view is "what quality of life mandates preservation?" Has the fetus gained a quality of life worthy of preservation? This is a dangerous question, indeed. For who among us, the already-born, can decide such a question? Do we apply this question to every human being? Does a fetus, or even an infant with down syndrome have a quality of life equal to that of a perfectly normal one? These questions lead only to some sort of genetic elitism, and shouldn't even be asked in good conscience. Perhaps the biggest irony encountered when examining those who wish to make abortion a social justice issue is that much of social justice is aimed at giving help and justice to those who are unable to speak and do for themselves-- the meek. Yet, from the same mouth that says we must protect the homeless, the penniless, animals and the environment comes words which speak of killing an unborn human! This contradiction must not be overlooked, lest we fail to see the cruelty, the degrading of humanity, and the violation of God's righteous decrees supported by those who hide behind the auspices of choice-advocacy.

Mother Teresa, perhaps one of the world's most renown champions of the underprivileged said in a recent address in Washington, "If we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill each other? ... Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want." Also, the logical result of the desire for "abortion-on-demand" is infanticide and euthanasia -- killing a newborn if it possesses physical or mental anomalies, and killing those for whom the living find it inconvenient to care. When human life is cheapened to the point that even the womb, a symbol of tranquility and peace, becomes a place of death; even the already-born will begin to respect each others' lives a little less.

Biblical Christianity does not just offer judgement of the issue, and then retract. Certainly there are some tough situations in which women find themselves, and the Christian community offers many outlets for aiding these women who often can't afford a child, or who don't have a very good situation in which to raise a child such as Bethany Christian Services . Adoption of these babies is perhaps the most obvious. Another alternative is for a family to provide room and board for a mother while she has her baby. The Christian view would be that a woman should never have to make the choice between her baby and herself. In fact, there is even a waiting list for people who wish to adopt children afflicted with Down's Syndrome.

Yes, the Word of God gives us a clear and understandable statement of God's consideration of the unborn child to be a human being subject to the protections of his righteous law.
