I don't keep the sabatth and I don't always go to church on Sundays either! Oct 20, 2008 6:56 am

Big deal neither one will keep me from going to heaven because my faith rests in the finished work of what Jesus did on the cross in dying for my sins and rising from the dead three days later and is sitting at His Fathers right hand defending me from the evil one and all his accuzations against me!

Either we rest in what Jesus did for us or we try and add to it by slipping into some form of legalism such as Sabbath keeping, trying to live by the 10 commandments, do this do that or don't do this and don't do that! it's not what we do or don't do that saves us but believing in what Jesus did for us and resting in His finished work in paying the penalty for our sins and trusting in that alone!

Once we come to saving faith and have been bornagain we are made new and God has given us new life, making our spirits alive, so that we can know Him and follow after Him. It's about a relationship with the living God not rituals or law keeping and there is absoutly nothing anyone can do to improve their standing before God than what we have in Christ Jesus!!! We are complete and seen just as holy as Jesus Himselve now why would anybody wish to go outside of what God has provided for in our salvation and try to improve upon it which you can't because Jesus meant what He said at the cross...It is finished!!!

Rest in what He has done and be open and yeilded to the life long work of the Holy Spirit in transforming and changing us into the very imagine of the Son. You'll see the changes come about because it is God who has written His law upon your heart and is giving you not only the willingness and desire to love and follow Him but also the power!!!

i suggest anyone trying to please God any other way do a real good study in the book of Espisans!
