welcome to my world

With an open and loving heart, I welcome people into my life.
What a joyful experience it is for me to welcome a wonderful friend. We have much to share and celebrate as we catch up with what has happened in our lives in a day, in a month, or over years.
It is also a joy to welcome new people into my circle of friends and family. We have much to share and celebrate as we work together to build new relationships.
In an awareness of our oneness of Spirit, I naturally welcome all members of BigChurch as my friend. With my heartfelt welcome, I am saying, “The Christ within me greets the Christ within you all.” Whether I am becoming reacquainted with others or meeting them for the first time, I welcome them and the enrichment they bring to my life.
I hope our friendship with each other will have a positive inpact in our lives,In any way I may hurt you maybe through my postings, please,I do not mean any offence, the bible says "Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful".(Pro 27:6 )

Once again, you are welcome to my world!
I love you all.

"A friend loveth at all times"(Pro 17:17

As I bring God's creation into focus at my quiet moment,I was so keen to think about LIGHT and its role in creation and our daily life.
The bible gave us a picture of how the heaven and earth looked at the begining of creation. It made us to understand that after God created the heaven and earth, there was total darkness everywhere. It's account in Genesis 1:2 made us to understand that because of this condition, the spirit of God hovered.Though we were made to know that God is a spirit and sees everywhere, but he found it important to illuminate the earth and heaven to perfect his work.He wanted to see his handwork and confirm if it was good or not before approval, because of this situation,he went back to drawing board and thought of what to do.

The all-knowing and wonderful God put his divine creative ability into action and came back with a great idea,to put light into being!
And the word of God says,God said "let there be light",and there was light.praise God!.

After this wonderful achievement, the spirit of God stopped hovering and sat down comfortably to work and behold his creation. Therefore after each creation,he could be able to see and end it with a remark "it was good" which he never said when he made heaven and earth because there was darkness everywhere, however,at the end of his work,he looked at all he had made and indeed they were very good (Gen.1:31)

Light represents christ in our christian faith. That is why he showed himself to many people of old in form of light.Jesus made this clear when he said "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life".(john 8:12)
Be it electricitylight, sunlight, moonlight.whichever source, gives us brightness and plays a very vital role in our daily life.
May God bless us as we allow light to rule in our lives.amen

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.Matthew 5:16

Allow Your Own Inner Light

There comes a time when you must stand alone.

You must feel confident enough within yourself to follow your own dreams.

You must be willing to make sacrifices.

You must be capable of changing and rearranging your priorities so that your final goal can be achieved.

Sometimes, familiarity and comfort need to be challenged.

There are times when you must take a few extra chances and create your own realities.

Be strong enough to at least try to make your life better.

Be confident enough that you won't settle for a compromise just to get by.

Appreciate yourself by allowing yourself the opportunities to grow, develop, and find your true sense of purpose in this life.

Don't stand in someone else's shadow when it's your sunlight that should lead the way.

MAN'S DISOBEDIENCE AND GOD'S MERCY

Since the creation of man,God has never ceized to speak and direct man for his own good, yet man, rather than following the voice of his maker found joy in disobeying the voice of God.
The bible made us to understand that the first word God spoke to human beign was an instruction, pointing out the repercaution of breaking the instruction.Perhaps to see if the man he has created in his own image and entrusted everything he has made in his care, put him in a well planned garden for his comfort would listen to his voice and show appreciation for the position God has put him in his scheme of things.
Man ignored the treat of death and ate the only fruit he was forbiden not to eat, courtesy of the woman.

God is a forgiving father, his merciful nature is so elastic that it takes a long time to draw him to provocation. He didn't take the life of man as earlier warned but simply sent him out of his comfort to face the wages of disobedience.Yet God being mindful of man asked him where he was, instead of Adam going down to his knees and beg him to forgive his trespasses, instead of answering the simple question "where are you?,he bragged and told God that he was naked and that's why he hid from him,his creator.what arrogance!

Dear brothers and sisters, could you please help me ask Adam who told him he was naked?,just imagine your two year-old covering herself when you suddenly enters the room where she was naked.definitely something is wrong somewhere, she could have possibly known the use of every part of her body! may God forgive us.

What about Cain?he was simply asked where is your brother but he lied that he doesn't know and sturbonly asked his creator if he was his brother's keeper.Ofcourse no sin goes unpunished and he was consequently punished, though the wages of sin is death but God chosed punishment, what a merciful father we have.

Obedience is what God need from us.Noah Obeyed God and was saved from the flood. What if he didn't obey God to build the ark?(I wonder what would have been of humankind)

Abraham also obeyed God when he was asked to leave his country and family, and God fulfilled his promises to him and richly blessed him. What if he didn't obey and leave? (I wonder what would have been of the present generation of Israel)

It really pays to obey the voice of God and may God richly bless us as he blessed Abraham as we obey his voice today in Jesus name.amen.

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God,to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God.Deuteronomy 28:1-2

12 WAYS TO BE HAPPY

1. Make up your mind to be happy.
Learn to find pleasure in simple things.

2. Make the best of your circumstances.
No one has everything,and everyone
has something of sorrow intermingled with
gladness of life. The trick is
to make the laughter outweigh the tears.

3. Don't take yourself too seriously.
Don't think that somehow you should be
protected from misfortune that befalls other
people.

4. You can't please everybody. Don't let
criticism worry you.

5. Don't let your neighbor set your standards. Be
yourself.

6. Do the things you enjoy doing but stay out of
debt.

7. Never borrow trouble. Imaginary things are
harder to bear than real ones.

8. Since hate poisons the soul, do not cherish
jealousy,Avoid people who make you unhappy.

9. Have many interests. If you can't travel, read
about new places.

10. Don't hold postmortems. Don't spend your time
brooding over sorrows or mistakes. Don't be
one who never gets over things.

11. Do what you can for those less fortunate than
yourself.

12. Keep busy at something. A busy person never
has time to be unhappy.

And I could add Number 13:
To know lasting happiness, get to know
JESUS!!!.

ROLE OF WOMEN: GOD'S PLAN

God's plan is perfect. He made everything for a purpose and nothing happens without his knowledge. He is all-knowing God,the bible says.

When God created man,non of the things he has made could befit a man than a woman,so he made a woman for a man and charged them to multiply and fill the earth.

Woman was not created to deceive the man into eating the forbiden fruit thereby causing untold hardship and sorrow to mankind.Rather it was a lesson to a man that he ought to obey God than human beign and to show him that there is price for disobeying God,and untill today, man will never forget the day he obeyed human beign than keeping the law of God!

Till today a woman will always like to feed her husband with every good food she finds just to show him love, poor woman, she never knew she was doing him harm than good.

I am not supporting Eve for the disobedience to the word of God but I feel but I feel she was only being humane.Afterall God allowed that to happen if not he would have intervened while she was being tempted than coming when they had already eaten the fruit.God knows everything before it happens and has plans for it whether good or bad because his word made us to understand that he created good and bad."I form the light, and create darkness make peace, and create evil the LORD do all these things.Isaiah 45 kjv

Woman once again displayed her wicked nature when sarah gave her maid Hagar to her husband Abraham so she could bear him a ,because God shut her womb, but after the woman conceived she became harsh on her.Not only was she harsh on her but when God fulfilled his promise to Abraham and Sarah bore a Isaac, she asked her husband Abraham to send the woman and her away so that Isaac her could inherit her husband's properties alone. What kind of wickedness was that?

But to show that everything happens for God's plan to come to fulfillment, the bible recorded that God said to Abraham "But God said to him,"Do not be so distressed about the boy and your maidservant.Listen to whatever Sarah tells you, because it is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned".Gen.21:12

I have not forgotten about Joseph and the woman(portifa's wife)She lied against Joseph and he was imprisoned which led to his interpretation of pharoah's dream and was consequently promoted to a high rank and he had the ample opportunity to tend to his brothers who sold him into egypt, and I believe we all know the story.praise God!

When God wanted to punish the phillistines he made samson meet delilah who played an important role in the punishment of her people, that was the role of a woman.

Beersheba was so beautiful that King David killed Uriah her husband and her marriage with King David produced the wisest and richest man ever lived till today.(i can't judge)

May God give us wisdom to understand his work and not judge in Jesus name.

"Do not judge, and you will not be judged.Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned.Forgive, and you will be forgiven.luke 6:37

MY TESTIMONY

I did not know His love before the way I know it now.I could not see my need for Him,my pride would not allow me.I had it all, without a care, the "Self-sufficient"lie.My path was smooth,my sea was still, not a cloud was in my sky.

I thought I knew His love for me,I thought I'd seen His grace,I thought I did not need to grow, I thought I'd found my place. But then the way grew rough and dark, the stormy clouds quickly rolled, the waves began to rock my ship and I found I had no hold.

I tried to put myself together and turn to GOD for solution and his word said,When you pass through the waters,I will be with you;And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,Nor shall the flame scorch you.(Isaiah 43:2)What a promise!Yet my faith was little.

The ship that I had built myself was made of foolish pride. It fell apart and left me bare, with nowhere else to hide.I had no strength or faith to face the trials that lay ahead,And so I simply spoke His name and bowed my weary head.

It was not easy in the storm,I sometimes wondered why.At times I thought,"I can't go on."I'd hurt, and doubt, and cry.But Jesus never left my side He guided me each day.Through pain and strife, through fire and flood,He helped me all the way.

His loving arms enveloped me,and then He helped me stand. He said,"You still must face this storm, but I will hold your hand."So through the dark and lonely night He guided me through pain.
I could not see the light of day or when I'd smile again.

Yet through the pain and endless tears,my faith began to grow.I could not see it at the time, but my light began to glow.I saw God's love in brand new light,His grace and mercy, too. For only when all self was gone could Jesus'love shine through.

I turned to my Bible and behold his word said,"Your sun shall no longer go down,Nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the LORD will be your everlasting light,And the days of your mourning shall be ended.(Is.60:20)

And now I see as never before how great His love can be.How in my weakness He is strong, how Jesus cares for me!He worked it all out for my good, although the way was rough but his word said"Do not remember the former things,Nor consider the things of old.Behold,I will do a new thing,Now it shall spring forth;Shall you not know it?I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.(Is.43:18-1He only sent what I could bear, and then He said,"Enough!"

He raised His hand and said,"Be still!" He made the stormy clouds cease. He opened up the gates of joy and flooded me with peace.I saw His face now clearer still,I felt His presence strong,I found anew His faithfulness,He never did me wrong.

And now I know more storms will come, but only for my good,For pain and tears have helped me grow as nothing ever could.I still have so much more to learn as Jesus works in me;If in the storm I'll love Him more, that's where I want to be!

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." James 1:2-4

DON'T QUIT

When things go wrong,as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems uphill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high,
and you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must . . . but don't you quit.

Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar.

So, stick to the fight when you're hardest hit . . . It's when things go wrong
that you mustn't QUIT!.

Ask Jonah

A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human
because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.
The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.
Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a
human; it was physically impossible.
The little girl said, "When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah."
The teacher asked, " What if Jonah went to Hell?"
The little girl replied, "Then you ask him because you are doubting the word of GOD"

"Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." John 20:27
