Gee...... I wonder what happened to Claudia's challenge ? She demanded that I answer her questions, and when I did; she couldn't handle the truth......So she deleted the post. She started the fight and didn't have the stomach to finish it. What a wimp.

NOW GOD IS A SINNER.......THANKS TO GORDY!!!

I thought I had seen it all, but today took the cake. Gordy ( in an attempt to correct me ) really let the snake out of the bag. Read tobeornot's post titled " Why God allows lies? " I copied what Gordy said below, in reply to me.
" Does "virginity" in a female who was born in sin and can not be anything other than human in both body and in SINS- -automatically say or even SUGGEST "sinfree offspring" to you? Hmmmm? then every woman who has "never known a man" qualifies as the same "sin free example" as did miriam. Her SIN NATURE WAS PASSED ON TO HER KIDS- HENCE JESUS HAD TO REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED. Or do you FORGET THOSE WEE DETAILS THERE PURPOSELY??? Just readin yer logic here makes me wanna PUKE it's so full of bullshit. What I find so HILARIOUS is that unless you LIE about Jesus- and make Him into things He WAS NOT- you have no RELIGION left that can be based on Him.
You sit there and tell me God does not "SIN" when God Himself says HE DOES DO EVIL. SO- if DOING EVIL IS A SIN FOR US- by DEFINITION AND SIMPLE COMPARATIVE REASONING- God DOES SIN AGAINST THE VERY LAWS HE DELIVERED TO US. But then again- a LIAR like YOU would NEVER want TRUTH to be known since your entire RELIGION LIES ABOUT GOD AND HIS SON. Idiot. SO since you wanna CHALLENGE THE BIBLE- go right ahead and prove your satanism is far too deep for us to ever believe you- even SINNERS know better than to believe the horse crap you posit about what the Bible ACTUALLY SAYS. "
This is a person without any understanding, of the person of God ( or other important doctrines taught in scripture ) and who is an outright fool, yet many members here at bc still believe whatever Gordy says. Do you still want to defend a person ( man or woman ) who calls God a sinner ?
This is what I said on tobe's post which Gordy responded to:
" Who can't read ? You're a joke. What part of " Virgin born " don't you understand ?
Mary was a virgin, having not known a man ( until after Christ was born ) she gave birth to God's only Son. This does not make Mary sinless ( which the Catholics believe ); but it does make Jesus sinless ( the spotless Lamb ), because He was conceived through the Holy Spirit ( not Joseph ).
Technically speaking, since there was no human father involved in the conception of Christ, Christ was born sinless ( the sin nature is transferred via the sperm of the father ). So, I'll ask you this question........ Who is Jesus' Father ?
Now, unless you're stupid enough to say that Jesus' Father ( God ) has a sin nature ( I wouldn't put it pass you ), then perhaps you can explain how you came to your erroneous conclusion. On second thought.....don't bother. "
I guess Gordy was ( is ) stupid enough......to call God a sinner.

I WILL SEND MY MESSENGER

" Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me.
And the LORD, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant,
In whom you delight. Behold He is coming, " Says the Lord of host. " Mal. 3:1
This is one of many prophesies concerning the coming Messiah. For those who continue to reject the Christian doctrine of the triune God, there are some things you have to answer. Like:
Who is the one speaking ? Who is the messenger ? Who is the one who came ?
From this text ( and many others ) we can conclude that the one speaking is the LORD, the messenger preparing the way is John the Baptist; and the one coming is Jesus. On that I think we can all agree. Here's the kicker..........The one speaking ( the LORD ) says, " and he will prepare the way before Me. "
Who is the " ME " ? The ME, who the messenger was to go before, is none other than the LORD. Think about it.

CONTINUITY OF THOUGHT

" He writes the same way in all of his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position. " 2 Pet. 3:16,17
The Bible is truly an amazing book. It is the only written revelation given by God to man; that takes us from the beginning of history ( creation ); to the end of history ( the destruction of earth by fire ). It contains 66 books, written by about 40 different men, yet it reads as though it were written by one person; having continuity of thought, purpose and scope, with one major theme.
Yet, as Peter points out; that ignorant and unstable people distort scripture. How does this happen ? It happens when people treat the Bible; as though it were just like any other book. A book that they can manipulate like putty, in order to achieve their own meaning. When you and I read a mystery novel we can come to different views on the plot and story line; but that is not true when it comes to understanding God's Holy inspired Word. There are several ways in which this is done.
1. Rationalism: Comes in two forms they can be either extreme or moderate. The extremist denies the possibility of any supernatural revelation. The moderate may admit the possibility of supernatural revelation; but makes the human mind the final judge of such revelation.
2. Romanism: Scripture is the product of the church, and therefore instead of Scripture being the final authority; the church is.
3. Mysticism: Experience is just as authoritative as scripture, and can be used along with the Bible to determine truth.
4. Neo-orthodoxy: The Bible is fallible having been written by men and therefore may contain the Word of God ( but is not necessarily the Word of God ); while it also can become the Word of God; to you ( if you think it is ).
5. Cults: The Bible along with the writings of the particular cult leader ( writer ) have equal authority .
What is it that all of these approaches have in common ? They all determine what the the truth is. Instead of the Bible being the final judge of what is true; each of these approaches have taken the authority away from the Bible, and placed it in man's hands. This is where the problem of private interpretation comes into play. The mystic for example will say, " I had an experience, and my experience determines what is true. " This can include ( but is not limited to ) such things as speaking in tongues. " I know its real because; it happened to me. "
What I'm going to attempt to do, is to expose some of the ways in which people use one ( or more ) of the above approaches toward scripture. The following is but one example.
" He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners.
It contained all kinds of four footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air.
Then a voice told him, " Get up, Peter. Kill and eat. "
" Surely not, Lord! Peter replied. " I have never eaten anything impure or unclean. "
The voice spoke to him a second time, " Do not call anything impure that God has made clean. " Acts 10:11-15
This text is one of a few ( there are only a few of this type ), which have what is called " a double application ", not two interpretations, nor is it a contradiction of what scripture teaches elsewhere. So, how do we know this text has a double application ? We know, not because I say it does; but because scripture explains itself. Now it's clear from the text; that God told Peter to eat what had been considered unclean; because He had made it clean. This is consistent with what scripture says elsewhere, about eating anything that flies, crawls, swims, or wiggles.
Now, here is where those who are ignorant come into play. If you as a Christian, have come to understand this truth, the ignorant ( those being prompted by the devil ); will say to you, " No ! You have to read what the Bible says, in the Book of Leviticus ( Lev. 11: 1-47 ), in order to find out; what you are allowed eat. " What that person has just done; is pit the Bible against itself, making it appear to be contradicting itself ( as if it were teaching two conflicting ideas ), and as stated above this sort of thing happens only if we make ourselves the final authority, of what is truth; rather than letting scripture be the final authority.
This type of inappropriate approach to the Word of God takes place, with various doctrines. It can include anything from baptism to salvation and everything in between. It leads to various interpretations; where actually there is only one. Next I'll show several ways in which this is done, and attempt to show that the Bible doesn't teach two conflicting views, on any subject it addresses.

PARABLE OF THE WEEDS......THIS IS FOR MUSTARDNPEARLS

Earlier I posted a brief study on THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER, and examined what Jesus said about why He spoke in parables. Jesus made it clear ( to the sons of the kingdom ) the difference in the types of soil the seed was sewn upon. In the next parable ( the parable of the weeds ) He explains to the disciples, how an enemy sowed weeds among the wheat. Please notice how Jesus continues with the clear distinction, just as with the different soils; but this time He shows what happens to the seed sown by an enemy.
Starting with verse 24: ( still in Matt. 13 )
" Jesus told them another parable: " The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.
But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. "
We don't have to wonder who sowed the weeds and who the weeds represent. Just as with the parable of the sheep and the goats, Jesus makes a clear distinction between the children of the kingdom ( those who receive true salvation ) and the sons of the wicked one. Starting with verse 36:
Again the disciples asked Jesus to explain the parable " He answered, " The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. "
If that's not clear enough; I don't know what to tell you. Why certain people want to turn the sons of the evil one; into Christians who fall away is beyond me. Nowhere in this parable does Jesus even hint that the weeds; are made up of Christians ( the wheat ) who turned into weeds.
The servants in the parable asked, " Do you want us to go and pull them up. "
What was Jesus' reply ? ' No, he answered, ' because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. Let them both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned, then gather the wheat and bring it into the barn. "
Question: Do the weeds miraculously turn into wheat; while the wheat somehow turn into weeds ? Nope. So why do certain people want to insist; that true believers can suddenly turn into weeds ( or even goats ) who end up in the fire. The fire is for the sons of the evil one but.......................
" Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear. "

PARABLE OF THE SOWER......THIS IS FOR MUSTARDNPEARLS

With the ongoing discussions here ( at BigChurce and elsewhere ), on falling away from the church, and Christians losing their salvation. I thought it would be interesting to see what Jesus said on the matter. After all He wrote the Book; so He knows what He's talking about.
In spite of all of the opinions some people have, about this matter; Jesus makes it plain ( to those who can see ) what the truth is.
Have you ever asked the question:
Why did Jesus speak in parables ?
In Matt. 13:1-23 Jesus spoke a parable concerning the sower ( a farmer who had scattered seed ). He explained the different types of places the seed fell on. Some of the seed fell along the path, and birds came and ate it. Some fell on rocky places, and because there was not much soil it sprang up quickly ( giving the appearance of taking root ) but was scorched by the sun. Still other seedlings fell among the thorns and were choked. Only the seed which fell on good soil produced a crop- a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.
Now, where those who believe that Christians can lose their salvation, fall away or give it up as some like to say; get confused is they want a equate all of the seeds as falling on good soil. Jesus makes a distinction, as He explains why He taught in parables.
" the disciples came to him and asked, " Why do you speak to the people in parables ? "
He replied, " The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. "Matt. 13:10,11
Now if you continue reading, you'll see that Jesus makes a clear distinction as to why He taught in parables. It was to keep those who were not given the secrets, of the kingdom; in the dark, so to speak.
From verses 18-23 He explains ( clearly ) to the disciples what the parable means. Only the seed sown on the good soil refers to the person; who believes and understands, and is truly converted. The other seeds never produced a crop, though for a short time some appeared to take root; but sooner or later they became unfruitful, wither and die.
Does the seed which was sown on good soil die ? No. Of course not.
