WHO'S RAISING YOUR CHILDREN ???? Jan 7, 2007 6:18 pm
456 Views

Today many homes have children who are being raised by everyone but their parents. They go to schools where they learn everything except history, math and science. They learn about \bsexo?\b and what's cool from their peers and music video's such as hip hop; instead of learning about \bsexo?\b from their parents at home. Given the fact that not all children are not raised by Christian parents, and what they learn from home is not always good either.

For example, when I was young ( a lone time ago ) my stepfather taught me all the wrong things a teenager should be told about \bsexo?\b, and he even set me up with older women; who I think he paid to have \bsexo?\b with me. That's the kind of thing which happens in some homes or even worse sexual abuse of a different kind; where the father abuses his daughter sexually.

It's important for us as Christian parents to teach our children about life ( including \bsexo?\b and drugs ), at home in a loving environment, explaining the dangers in life; which the world often presents as glamorous. \bsexo?\b is a beautiful thing in the context of marriage; and it's the parents job to teach the child about things like \bsexo?\b ( not peers or hip hop or even school ). I pray for all Christian parents ( including myself ) that we raise our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.

GOOD NEWS Jan 4, 2007 6:40 pm

When the Bible speaks about the good news ( Gospel ); what is it referring to ? Is it referring to a second chance ( meaning we get to try to live right a second time ), or is the good news a promise that we will never get sick. What exactly is the good news and why should we be sharing it with others ?

TOOTH EXTRACTION !!!!! Jan 4, 2007 6:15 pm

Today I went to the dentist, and had a tooth extracted. I was really afraid of the pain it would cause me; and I had second thoughts about going through with it. I kept coming up with excuses not to go. Well, I went through with it and to my surprise; it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I think the dentist made all the difference, the whole thing took less than 20 minutes, and even after the anesthesia wore off; I'm still not having any pain ( yet ).

I have had friends who after having a tooth pulled; were in excruciating pain ( and looked like someone beat them in the face ); some had their jaw fractured ( by the dentist who pulled the tooth ) and others had to go through hours of trying to get the tooth out. The dentist I saw holds the record for pulling teeth from 89 patients in one day ( that's what one of his office workers told me ), without any problems. The office worked also assured me, that I'd be out of the office and on my way home in less than 30 minutes, and I was.

I really like this dentist; he seems to know what hes doing ( I was praying a lot too ), If I ever need another tooth pulled I'll be going back to him.

IT'S STILL CHRISTMAS Dec 25, 2006 9:37 am

I don't have a pretty wreath hanging on my door.......but it's still Christmas.

I don't have a tree decorated with lights and tensile......but it's still Christmas.

I don't have gifts piled high for all to see......but it's still Christmas.

I have no turkey waiting to be carved, no cranberry sauce......but it's still Christmas.

I have no one to kiss, and hold me......but it's still Christmas.

I have nowhere to travel to......but it's still Christmas.

I do have Jesus in my heart......now that's Christmas.

Today with all the commercialization of Christmas; we often forget the real reason for celebrating Christmas. It's not about Rudolf the red nose reindeer or Santa Clause; but God sending His one and only Son, to give His life as a ransom for many. This is a time when people give gifts, which often end up broken and in the trash ( or something we don't need or like ). The gift of God's Son is not something that fades or wears out, and it doesn't end up in the trash.

So, for all who may be feeling lonely or left out because you don't have a decorated tree, with gifts under it. Just remember that Jesus gave us the greatest gift of all. He gave Himself.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

URBAN LEGENDS Nov 16, 2006 1:35 pm

What are urban legends ? How many urban legends do you believe ? Have you ever heard that if you eat in a Chinese restaurant ( in America ); that you're really eating cat, and not chicken ?
A story someone made-up.
A half truth.
The whole truth.
A lie.
I never heard of an urban legend.
I don't eat in Chinese restaurants because of the cat thing.
I ate cat once and it was pretty good.

ASCENDED AND DESCENDED ? Nov 15, 2006 5:51 pm

" Therefore He says:

" When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men. "

( Now this, " He ascended " - what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things. )
Eph. 4:8 -10

Question: Where did Christ descend to ? Many misinterpret this text and make it mean something, other than what the writer intended.

APOSTATE ? Nov 3, 2006 7:37 am

As Christians are we ever told to leave the churches we attend ? There is one fellow who is telling Christians, those who will listen to him; to leave their churches. But are we told to stop attending worship services ?
Yes, because the churches no longer tell the truth.
No, we are never told to stop attending worship services.
We are the church and don't have to attend any church.
I believe that wherever two or three are gathered; you have a church.
I've never attended services anywhere, and don't feel I need to.
