Moving that is. My son's and I moved into the new house Friday, now all we have to do is unpack everything. I'm about ready to start throwing things away ( or give it to Goodwill ). Boy am I tired.

RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE....WHAT IS IT ?

Once again, there are those here; who feel the need to warn new comers, to BC, to be careful of the protestants; because they will tear your beliefs ( and you ) apart. I'm sure these people ( who claim to be Christians by the way ) believe they mean well; but are they being obedient to Christ by warning non-Christians, to watch-out for the Protestants ? After all, aren't Christians suppose to warn those who are trusting in something, other than Christ alone for their salvation, to trust only in Him ?
When a new blogger ( a Roman Catholic ) post on the subject of " TWELVE STEPS TO AVOID PURGATORY ", what should be the Christian's response ?
1. Look the other way.
2. Agree with the subject.
3. Accept the individual as a brother ( or sister ).
4. Encourage the individual to keep on believing, whatever he ( or she ) believes; because we're all one big happy family.
5. Explain to the person that no such place exist.
I know it's a dirty job.......but somebody has to do it.
P.S. TWELVE STEPS........now where have I heard that before ?

I WAS INVOLVED IN AN AUTO ACCIDENT!!!

I'm buying a house, and the closing is set for Monday ( 10/5/2009 ), I'm off for the week to get everything moved to the new house. Everything is ready, I reserved a truck, I'm almost finished packing. On my way home from work ( driving in the rain ), a car suddenly appeared out of no where. I didn't see the car until I was right up on it, I hit my breaks but it was too late; and I hit it ( hard enough to spin it around ). I ended up on the sidewalk, as I'm trying to figure out where this car came from.
I got out of my car, and looked over at the other car ( which I had just hit ) trying to see if the person in it was Ok. It was a woman driver......I asked her if she was alright; but she never said anything. She just sat there. I took out my phone to call the police; but before I could call. a police car pulled up. The first officer there had to call for another officer; because it was out of his district. Another officer arrived about 10 minutes later; and wrote the accident report. The woman I hit was charged with the accident; she was able to drive away; my car had to be towed.
Now, I don't have a car to get to the closing, or to rent the truck. The new house is further away from my job, and it'll take forever to get there on public transportation.
There's only one thing left to do.......PRAY!!!!

For much of the last forty years, ever since America "fixed" its race problem in the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts, we white people have been impatient with African Americans who continued to blame race for their difficulties. Often we have heard whites ask, "When are African Americans finally going to get over it? Now I want to ask: "When are we White Americans going to get over our ridiculous obsession with skin color?
Recent reports that "Election Spurs Hundreds' of Race Threats, Crimes" should frighten and infuriate every one of us. Having grown up in "Bombingham," Alabama in the 1960s, I remember overhearing an avalanche of comments about what many white classmates and their parents wanted to do to John and Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King. Eventually, as you may recall, in all three cases, someone decided to do more than "talk the talk."
Since our recent presidential election, to our eternal shame we are once again hearing the same reprehensible talk I remember from my boyhood.
We white people have controlled political life in the disunited colonies and United States for some 400 years on this continent. Conservative whites have been in power 28 of the last 40 years. Even during the eight Clinton years, conservatives in Congress blocked most of his agenda and pulled him to the right. Yet never in that period did I read any headlines suggesting that anyone was calling for the assassinations of presidents Nixon, Ford, Reagan, or either of the Bushes. Criticize them, yes. Call for their impeachment, perhaps. But there were no bounties on their heads. And even when someone did try to kill Ronald Reagan, the perpetrator was non-political mental case who wanted merely to impress Jody Foster.
But elect a liberal who happens to be Black and we're back in the sixties again. At this point in our history, we should be proud that we've proven what conservatives are always saying -- that in America anything is possible, EVEN electing a black man as president. But instead we now hear that school children from Maine to California are talking about wanting to "assassinate Obama."
Fighting the urge to throw up, I can only ask, "How long?" How long before we white people realize we can't make our nation, much less the whole world, look like us? How long until we white people can - once and for all - get over this hell-conceived preoccupation with skin color? How long until we white people get over the demonic conviction that white skin makes us superior? How long before we white people get over our bitter resentments about being demoted to the status of equality with non-whites?
How long before we get over our expectations that we should be at the head of the line merely because of our white skin? How long until we white people end our silence and call out our peers when they share the latest racist jokes in the privacy of our white-only conversations?
I believe in free speech, but how long until we white people start making racist loudmouths as socially uncomfortable as we do flag burners? How long until we white people will stop insisting that blacks exercise personal responsibility, build strong families, educate themselves enough to edit the Harvard Law Review, and work hard enough to become President of the United States, only to threaten to assassinate them when they do?
How long before we starting "living out the true meaning" of our creeds, both civil and religious, that all men and women are created equal and that "red and yellow, black and white" all are precious in God's sight?
Until this past November 4, I didn't believe this country would ever elect an African American to the presidency. I still don't believe I'll live long enough to see us white people get over our racism problem. But here's my three-point plan: First, everyday that Barack Obama lives in the White House that Black Slaves Built, I'm going to pray that God (and the Secret Service) will protect him and his family from us white people.
Second, I'm going to report to the FBI any white person I overhear saying, in seriousness or in jest, anything of a threatening nature about President Obama. Third, I'm going to pray to live long enough to see America surprise the world once again, when white people can "in spirit and in truth" sing of our damnable color prejudice, "We HAVE overcome."

There's a big to-do about a video that was made in a public school ( now being shown on Youtube ), where children sang songs about President Obama. The hype goes like this.
" The children are being brainwashed, and the resemblances to the Hitler youth groups should be obvious. How can this be allowed in our schools, they even give the Hail-Hitler sign several times during their worship of this Neo-Nazi.... Barack Obama. "
Is there no end to the foolishness of the so-called conservative right ? They continue to come up with, every wicked device they can imagine to put President Obama down. He's been called a socialist, communist, lair, and now a NEO-NAZI. Do these fools have any idea who ( and what ) the Neo-Nazi movement is ? They ( the Neo-Nazi's ) want to assassinate the President, not embrace him. The Neo-Nazi's are a white supremacy group, which has one desire, i.e. to kill everything that's not white. The conservative talk shows have played this right into the hands of the weak-minded, who are stupid enough to believe it.
Let's face it, the right can't quite get over the fact, that they lost the election ( along with their power ). So, now these conservative talk show host; have nothing better to do; then to incite people ( those who don't have brains ) to attend tea parties ( so they call them ) where they get to hold up signs which read " Death to Obama ", and think its protected by their right to " Free-Speech ".
One of these fools is going to try to assassinate The President ( and may even succeed ), and I wonder what they'll say then ?

Did John the Apostle use this typical Calvinist line ? I didn't know the Bible contains " Anti- Calvinist' classic bible verses ". But I do know it contains, the truth about eternal life, and Jesus keeping His sheep saved.

Those were the words of Rep. Joe Wilson during President Obama's health care address.
Now, I've been around for a while, and I've never witnessed such behavior during a Presidential address before congress ( boos maybe, but not calling the President a liar ). It was a very blatant form of disrespect toward the President.......something he's been getting from the conservative talk radio shows; since his election. But is that sort of behavior a congressman should display before congress ?
Even if Joe was correct, he wasn't allowed to shout " You lie ! " from the floor of the house, during the Presidents speech. I've never seen anything like it. On top of that, Joe misspoke.......because the health bill reform bill doesn't allow coverage for illegals. There is a lot of lying being done by the conservatives ( the liberals lie too ) at the expense of respect; for the President more than what's actually in the Bill.
It's really a shame when protesters ( who listen to conservative talk shows ) hold up signs which read " Death to Obama ", because of what they hear on the talk shows. They don't bother to check out the facts. Instead of listening to the talk shows ( which today have excused Joe's outburst ), they should watch CSPAN ( where there is no commentary ) you get to hear what's actually being said. We need to pray for President Obama.

Once again Claudia put up a post........only to delete it. Another post on losing salvation ( of course ), and it started off with the question ( and answer ):
" CAN I LOSE MY SALVATION.......YOU BET I CAN "
Her proof text was taken from 1 Cor. 10:6-12, that came with her admonition to " read this carefully ". She got four responses ( two from me ) as of last night, none of which were rude, mean or degrading in any way. So, why did she deleted it ? The only reason I can come up with, is that none of the responders agreed with her. So, it had to come down. But what does that say about the person who put up the post ? I'm sure she expected some sort of dialogue, maybe not what she hoped for ( agreement ); but she did get a response.
Once again, she took a text out of context to try and prove her point. One of the things I asked her was, " What is the subject of the passage ? ", my other statement was this:
" Claudia......you'd have to prove that God can cease being eternal; before you can convince me that eternal life can stop ( or end, or be given up, or lost ). Christians receive ETERNAL LIFE ( meaning unending life ) for placing their faith in Jesus. And just as God is immutable ( unchanging ) so it is with the gift of ETERNAL LIFE, He freely gave to use who believe and know the truth. That quality of life can never end; because it has been sealed with the indwelling Holy Spirit ( of promise ), with whom, the true believer is held in place. Never to fall away.

As they say......the proof is in the pudding. Are you going to delete this one too ? "
And sure enough she did. So, what does that kind of response ( or behavior ) to disagreement say about Claudia ? It says, she can't stand having her teachings challenged. We're just suppose to accept whatever she says, without question. One of the signs of a bad ( or false ) teacher; is they don't like being challenged, to them it shows disrespect for their authority. On the other hand a sound teacher doesn't avoid challenges, questions; or disagreement. Sound teachers will address any sort of challenge head on ( not avoid it ), or refuse to give an answer for the point ( or truth ) they are trying to get across. After all, if you want to consider yourself a good teacher, then you have to be prepared to defend ( and give an answer for ); what it is you're trying to convince others to believe.

THE CHEAP PARLOR TRICKS OF THE LEGALIST......EXPOSED

Do any of you remember the TV show that came on, exposing the tricks of the magicians . Well, I'm about to expose one of the cheap parlor tricks, used by the legalist, to prove that God's free gift of Salvation, can be lost.
I've been accused of doing a lot of different things, and been called a lot of different names. Recently, a blogger referred to me as a coward and a bully. Yet these same people, who shall remain nameless, can't seem to bring themselves, to stop using their cheap parlor tricks, of abusive manipulation of the WORD OF GOD. Here's a quick look at one of them.
" Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit," and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud." 2 Pet. 2:22
How many times has someone you know, pulled this trick ? Without any regard for the subject ( or context ), this verse is presented as " proof " for the false teaching of a " conditional salvation ". But is that what Peter had in mind when writing this epistle ? Follow the context carefully, in the second chapter of 2nd Peter; what is Peter describing ? False teachers and their destruction.......not Christians losing their salvation. Don't let these people pull those types of illusions on you. Read the text following the context. Once you do, you'll discover that the entire 2nd chapter ( of 2nd Peter ) is addressing the plight of these false teachers. Isn't it strange that they want to push their demons onto the rest of us.
If you want me to, I'll even say it to your face.
