Taking Every Thought Captive....

2 Cor. 2: 3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
What does this mean to you??

A husband of my friend. Neither are Christians. I don't know them very well. He is very ill, I think kidney failure. I'm more worried about his spiritual health. Very closed to the gospel, last I talked to them. But God can draw him to Himself!
Thanks!

What do you think of the Hell Houses churches stage every October to spur people to salvation? They are very graphic. I suppose the real hell will be more so!
Google 'Trinity Church in Cedar Hill Texas hell house' for more info.

How do you react when someone tells you what to do but you haven't asked for their opinion of what you should do? Do you bristle? Do you listen?

Right Before He Called the Little Children to Him, Jesus Said:

Luke 18: 9 To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: 10 "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
13 "But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
14 "I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."
Good lesson!

... from a preschool I did a program at. I toss small plastic models after I talk about them to break the tension. It's a method I've used often with much success. The audience relaxes and learns without being in 'lecture' mode. I want my listeners to laugh. This school apparently doesn't like my sense of humor. Oh, well.
