A Good Idea is All We Need Apr 1, 2006 8:21 am
Mood: cheerful, 284 Views

Hello Friends,

Wow another Saturday. I will study most of the day. My departure for Lusaka Zambia is now officially April 18th. I have purchased my ticket and am very excited about ministering to people who are so hungry for the Word of God.

I am still enjoying this site. I do enjoy the advice line and the different polls. In thinking about the people who created this site I think about how smart they are. They created a singles site, created a domain name that would attract Christians, and added features like the magazine with the advice line and also a place to blog. And then they sit back and let us do the work. Without us it wouldn’t be interesting. It’s your blogs, your articles, your polls and advice line questions that make this place so enjoyable. Without y’all this would be a boring place, (smile). The ones who created this site are smart and because of that they are making money off of us. You know what? I need to make money to fund all that God has called me to do. I have been asking Him for knowledge to add to my faith according to I Peter chapter 1. I need to do something to generate income but still allow me to have a flexible schedule. So many of us work by the sweat of our brow according to the curse in Genesis 3 – but according to Galatians 3:13 we have been redeemed from the curse of the Law. There are several different ways to generate income that will give us the flexibility we need to be available to God. Have you ever heard of the Veggie Tales videos for kids by Big Idea Productions? The creator was working a secular job when he was laid off. He put his creative power to work and is now a millionaire. It is in every one of us to do the same thing in the area we are gifted. I start with asking myself what is it I enjoy doing, what are my gifts? I then go from there. Many times we just need some knowledge to do those things we dream of doing. We also have a hard time letting go of our 9 to 5 job because it is paying the bills. Knowledge is the key to getting out of your 9 to 5 job and into something you enjoy doing that will generate an abundance of income. Your heart should be to advance the Kingdom of God, and then your success will happen quickly. However be prepared for set backs and obstacles. Set-backs are set-ups for spring-backs. Things may not happen as soon as you would like but don’t give up – time still passes whether you work it our not. You may as well work it and see the results and enjoy the harvest from all of your labors. The creators of Big Church are.

Keep in mind that God takes no pleasure in us being in lack. Many say that money is evil but I say not having any is. Psalms 35:27 the later part of it says that God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servants (children).

Have a great a weekend and enjoy church.
You are loved.

Who Needs Church? Mar 28, 2006 10:38 am

Hello All,

It's another great day in the Lord. Great things are happening. Almost all of my projects are done for the day and it is only 1:30pm. I smell fee time (smile).

I have posted a devotional in this blog dealing with the issue of attending church. Hope it will be a blessing.

Who Needs Church?

After all I watch Christian television every day….I still pray and read my Bible and I have my Christian friends who I fellowship with. I am still being spiritually fed.

That sounds all well and good. But where do you tithe and give offerings? Oh probably to your television ministers? Who do you call Pastor? What do you do in the event of a death in the family or a needed minister for a wedding? Oh, there’s always the phone book. Or maybe you have saved family members who have a pastor you can borrow?

Well you know God understands that Sunday is my only day off from work – I need a day of rest.

Yes He does understand…..He understands that if your boss called and needed you to come in on your day off, especially because it’s overtime, you would be there with bells on, (smile)

Psalms 92:12-14: This passage states that those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall prosper.

Hebrews 10:25 tells us that we should not forsake the assembling of ourselves together especially as the day of the Lord approaches.

The purpose of the church is to be trained in the word of God and your ministry – to worship with others corporately, and to fellowship with other believers, this forges relationships. People who don’t attend church regularly are people who are disconnected with the rest of the body. While they may be making it and even ministering to others at work they will slowly lose their substance the longer they are slothful about attending church.

Going to work but not attending church is idolatry because you are not putting God first Matthew 6:33 seek ye first the kingdom of God. If you are guilty of not attending church and being a part of a church body then all you have to do is humble yourself and repent. The deception that you can grow in your walk in Christ while not attending church will lead you into bondage.

Food for thought.

Have a great day.

A day to relax Mar 25, 2006 8:48 am
Mood: cheerful, 163 Views

Hello my friends,

It is Saturday. How wonderful Saturdays are. For me they are a day that moves slow with very little scheduled projects and appointments. I love it. I get to sleep in – most of the time I can't sleep past 7am. Through the week I am up at 5am for prayer until 7 or so. I am usually in my office ready to work by 9 or 10. I love the life God has blessed me with. For years while working secular jobs I longed for the days when I could leave the corporate world and go full time ministry. I remember mornings getting ready for work, having to leave the presence of God in the intimate setting of just He and I, crying all the way to work because I wanted to stay home with Him. I committed to Him at that time that when He released me for full time ministry I would be a good steward of my time and not waste it. I have been faithful to that commitment.

I just want to say that I still love this site. I have only come across one scammer so far. The only reason I knew he was a scammer is because he tried to scam me. The picture is the same but spirit of the man is different. I think it is someone using that picture. The picture is an American man but the manner in which he talks is not. He sounds foreign to me. If it were the same person I think he would have remembered he already tried to scam me. Many will do whatever they can to get into this country. We need to be careful. If you are a woman who has been hurt and are looking for a connection you are especially a target. Pain makes you vulnerable to more pain. Beware!

While the enemy would sift you as wheat God has hidden you. You are hurting from the rejection of a mate.....You are looking for a connection, you need to feel the sense of belonging to someone.....No one seems to be responding to you. You are thinking "I must not be appealing or desirable." You start dieting, exercising, and tanning. You even changed your hair style; you had nails put on and a brow job done. But still you are not getting the responses from men on the singles sites you are on or at church etc. It seems only men you are not interested in are responding. You now feel rejected, not just from your mate, but from others as well. BE OF GOOD CHEER, these men aren't rejecting you it’s God protecting you. He has hidden you to protect you. These men can't see you fully. God has you hidden under the shadow of His protective wings. Wow, how special you are to Him. What a Daddy!!!!! Stay by His side, don't let go, your life and sanity depends on your connection with God not with a man. Let God heal you. Amen! This is a good word for a man who has been rejected as well. We love men, don’t we woman? Some of them are really nice (smile).

Well off I go to do more relaxing (smile.) I so appreciate those who have emailed me and commented on my blogs. You are special.

Have a blessed Saturday

I AM HOME Mar 23, 2006 8:45 am

Wow!!! What a day of travel. My flight from L.A. was great and left right on time. But my flight from Chicago was delayed 2 hours. All in a days travel I suppose. I am still waiting for one of my suit cases to be delivered to my front door. Of course it is the one with all of my cloths. So I am having a difficult time trying to figure out what to wear (smile).

I will now prepare for my mission trip to Africa. I will put the finishing touches on my conferences I will be doing "The Abundant Life by the Hand of God." and also on the classes I will be doing during the day. I will also go back into consecration and fasting for this trip. God is good, my life belongs to Him right now and will soon belong to Him and my husband as soon as he finds me. I am a good thing you know...(smile).

Well off to start my day, mail to open, bills to pay and an appointment to keep...

Don't stress y'all, God is your source of all things, Know this that if He dwells in you like I Corinthians 6:19 says than let me tell you this: He is not a moocher. He will pay His way. With him using you as a dwelling place He will always make sure your rent or mortgage is paid, light bill, food in the cupboard etc.. He will take care of you just because He lives in you and HE IS NOT A MOOCHER.

Be encouraged
Much love Darla

Hello everyone,

Well my stay here in Temecula is finished. I leave tomorrow to go home. I had a great time with my friend Silvia. The Lord brought me out here to put her through one of my Bible school classes "Who the Bible Says You Are". We almost made it through the class. She is in the real estate business so the phone rings off of the hook or purse (smile). Between escrow, closings, inspections and showing houses we managed a couple hours a day for the class. She has assured me she will finish the class on her own. I am sure she will. I think I got her started on something, she wants to take the home correspondence of more classes. Yessssss! I love having students, what a joy to minister the Word to those who are hungry.

Well it will be good to be home. I will have a month to get ready for my trip to Africa. Anyone care to join me? (smile).

Well, I shall blog again once I get home.
Y'all stay blessed.

GOD UNDERSTANDS Mar 20, 2006 7:30 am
Mood: beautiful, 171 Views

God understands my sin. He understands how hard it is to quit smoking. He knows the power of addiction.

God understands my loneliness. He understands my need for sex.

God understands that I am not happy with my wife; He understands that she is not fulfilling me sexually. He understands my extra marital affairs.

God understands that my husband is always gone….I am young and beautiful it is a shame for me to be alone. He understands my need for someone on the side.

God understands why I want a divorce, I am just not happy with him anymore. We were so young when we got married. I just don’t want the same things he does anymore.

God understands why we live together and don’t marry. I will lose my social security if we marry, God understands.

God understands why I cheat on my taxes the IRS is a thief!

God understands why I don’t get up early for prayer.

God understands why I don’t tithe and give offering.

God understands why I can’t make it to church every Sunday.

Wow, it sounds like God is very understanding. He is; He understands premarital sex to be lust, extra marital sex to be adultery. He understands your addictions to be idolatry. Yes God understands your desire for a divorce to be selfishness; He understands why you are shacked up instead of married because you will lose money to be a lack of trust in His provision. God understands cheating on your taxes to be stealing. God understands why you don’t get up early for prayer to be slothfulness, after all you get up for work. He understands why you don’t tithe and give offering to be self preservation. And of course He understands why you don’t make it to church every Sunday to be a lack of hunger for Him and all that He stands for.

II Timothy 2:19
But the firm foundation of (laid by) God, stands sure and unshaken, bearing this seal (inscription): The Lord knows those who are His, and let everyone who names [himself by] the name of the Lord give up all iniquity and stand aloof from it.

The question is not does God understand, but does He approve?

GET UP Mar 19, 2006 7:45 am
Mood: adventurous, 186 Views

It is Sunday a day of gathering with others to worship, learn and fellowship. We will all leave encouraged, refreshed and renewed.

A word of encouragement: Some of you have fallen into sexual sin. The Word for you today is "Get up." There are many singles who are in ministry. Those who are in ministry are on the front line. If you have had sex outside of marriage, this is an attack on your life and ministry. I see you knocked down on the front line....you can't get up. You feel unworthy, condemned and are tempted to quit. God is not upset about the sin as much as He is the condemnation that you are allowing to defeat you. The sin is over but the condemnation is not. God says, "Forgive yourself, I have forgiven you." Get up, repent, keep yourself out of all compromising situations and go forward. You were attacked, hit with a heavy weapon from the enemy. Remember Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon formed against you will prosper....." Colossians 1:13 says that you have been delivered from the power of darkness. You may step into darkness but when you choose to repent its power cannot hold you. Romans 6:14 tells us that we have been set free from the dominion of sin. We may choose to sin but it has no power to hold us when we repent. What freedom. Romans 8:1 tells us that there is no condemnation to them who are in Christ. You might be thinking, "Yeah but the sin I committed was not in Christ." That may be so but you are. It's just a matter of repentance. Once you forgive yourself the condemnation loses it power.

Be Blessed my friends God is not mad at you, He wants you to GET UP!!!!!

Hello fellow bloggers,

What a great life we live in Christ. I am enjoying my stay here in Temecula Ca. learning the ropes of the real estate business. I am assisting my friend, who I am staying with, in her real estate business. I am loving it. I am also amazed at the prices of homes out here....Wow!!!! I will have to make big bucks to live out here (smile). It's a good thing God is my source.

Listen, some of you are going through hard times. It seems like your circumstances are overwhelming, if it's not one thing it's another. Some of you are facing major changes in your life and that can be overwhelming. Let me remind you who you are....II Corinthians 5:21 says you are the righteousness of God....Isaiah 54:17 says no weapon formed against you will prosper....John 4:4 says greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world....Romans 8:37 says that you have been made more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. That's who you are....YOU ARE NOT WHAT YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES SAY YOU ARE. Have a great evening my friends.

You are blessed to be a blessing.

Totally Abandoned

I heard Him say that many never reach this level meaning the “totally abandoned” level. On this level it is the real test of denying yourself, taking up your cross and following God….of being crucified with Christ, no longer I that lives but Christ that lives in me…..of presenting your body (whole being) as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God as your reasonable service as act of worship. This level is different than all the others. It’s the level where you stop playing church and become the church, where you stop playing ministry and become the ministry. This is true "grow up" time. It’s where you do what God tells you to do no matter what the circumstance says. This is where you feel the world disconnect from you and you from it. Where you can relate to Apostle Paul when he said, “The world is stripped naked to me and me to the world. This is the level where you step into the good life, your call and purpose, no longer just dreaming about it but actually living it.

I want to encourage you, don’t miss your day to step up to this level. Don’t choose the comforts of home choose the mission of heaven for heaven is your true home.

Have a great week.
