You Dont Say?!! Nov 24, 2008 2:45 am

So you are saying that when you were up on that tree hanging there and when you rose from the dead it entitled me to be free of not only sin but also

that if I abide in you I have the full armour of protection on without actually putting on a set...that my abiding in you because of who you are, I already have this? That no weapon formed against me prospers because you have already defeated the enemy?

That disease does not have to have dominion over me?

That no curse can affect me because you took care of that too so it is of no affect just because I believe on You?

That You meet all of my needs according to your riches and glory just because of who you are residing in me?

That you will never leave me or forsake me?

and You are the Author and Finisher of my faith...so it is only up to me to abide in you to have you do this for me?

and you have sent the Holy Spirit to comfort me and teach me all things until you physically return?

Gifts are given for my personal edification and the edification of the other believer to help equip all of us until you return?

Even anything that will ever happen to me will work to my good just because I Love you? Even if it may seem bad and meant for destruction?

the devil is already defeated and all he can try and do is cause me not to trust you? I will keep my eye out on that one Jesus! What? You say if I just listen to the Holy Spirit he will guide me and let me realize when this deception is trying to take place? Ok Got ya Lord!

Ohhhh so there is much more that you want to show us about what our heritage is when you adopted us? grafted us in.

Wow I am sorry sometimes I dont sit still long enough to see it is you always at work in my life...yeah thought it was the devil a few times because it didnt feel good...but I get you now!

What? You mean I am not perfect and will miss it from time to time?

Oh ok, you understand that and fully love and accept me anyway? WOW !!!! Pressures's off I guess?

Huh?! Thats what you mean by trading yokes, mine for your light one here? Thats what you mean by letting you live through me instead of me trying to act like you?

So the fake nails in my hands and the fake hole in my side kinda is offensive huh? Sorry

What its ok? Because I was already forgiven at Calvary? Wow! This is way to neat!

Huh? attention span is bad you say? That you have been trying to tell us all of this for years, but man keeps twisting your words?

so? how is that changed?

Ohhhhhh! Ok .....You say by spending time with the Holy Spirit that you sent that...yeah you said earlier will teach us all things.

Yeah I get it!

What? I am starting to? Too Kool Lord!

Thank You?

theres more? remember what Lord?

ok
So you say that its not by might, not by power ? but by your Spirit Jesus? Ok Kool.

ohh one more thing? You say that when we are lead by your Spirit, we are not under any law? That abiding in you is letting you Live through us just like you didnt do anything and it was the Father living through you?! Ok that makes sense.

Whats that? OK ....I will dwell on what you just said because you say thats all I need to know to have the life you want me to have...Wow! Thats all there is to it?

You have the most beautiful smile Lord....did I say something good?

Who will take the Son? Nov 24, 2008 2:34 am

"Who'll Take the Son?"

"But as many as received Him, to them gave He Power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name"
(John 1:12).

by Anonymous

wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.

When the Viet Nam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.

About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands. He said,"Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art.

The young man held out his package. "I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this"

The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture.

"Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift."

The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

The man died a few months later There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection. On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. "We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?" There was silence. Then a voice in the back of the room shouted. "We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one."

But the auctioneer persisted. "Will someone bid for this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?" Another voice shouted angrily "We didn't come to see this painting.. We came to see the Van Goghs, the Rembrandts. Get on with the real bids!" But still the auctioneer continued. "The son! The son! Who'll take the son?"

Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. "I'll give $10 for the painting."

Being a poor man, it was all he could afford. "We have $10, who will bid $20?" "Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters." "$10 is the bid, won't someone bid $20?" The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son. They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections. The auctioneer pounded the gavel. "Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!"

A man sitting on the second row shouted. "Now let's get on with the collection!" The auctioneer laid down his gavel. "I'm sorry, the auction is over." "What about the paintings?" "I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time.

Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings. The man who took the son gets every thing!"

God gave His Son 2,000 years ago to die on a cruel Cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is, "The Son, the Son, who'll take the Son?" Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

What is your Miracle God has done for You? Nov 24, 2008 2:32 am

For me it is not being healed from cerebal palsy when I was 15. It really isnt even salvation although that is the most important thing to me. It is not some of the signs and wonders that I have seen in my lifetime.

For me the greatest miracle is him revealing his finished work and showing me that it is not about doing. It is about being an open vessel that he abides in and lives through. To know what he did do when he was glorified and how it really effects each believer.

Curses are broken when you reeive him

He provides

He heals

He nurtures

The full armour of God is upon you as a believer

The gifts of the Spirit are there for You

What more is there?

Fully equipped for life just because of what he did...that is our heiritage as a believer because of Jesus' finished work and the Holy Spirit residing in you with annointing and comforting you and teaching you all things.

The peace of the Gospel is my biggest Miracle.

The ferrocious velocity of Religiosity Nov 24, 2008 2:27 am

If Someone needed God....needed to be saved I think Most people would tell them that Jesus died for them and that their sin would be forgiven and God would live inside of them and they would be with him forever.

Is that enough?

That is where are the dirt of mans' Christianity comes flying in at them. What happens?

When we first are born again we have this overwhelming peace and a feeling of comming home for that very first time. Everything makes sense then and all we want is intimate fellowship with this God that was always waiting on us to say here I am Daddy! Please accept me!

We do live in a temporary shell and in a temporary place here on earth.

But people who believe tend to put out all of these flypaper traps that not only stick to the young believer but it also attaches to them laws that were for the old covenant and not the New One that Christians live in. Jews lived in the Old one and gentiles or non-jews did not.It was nout our world.

The Young believer is told you HAVE to be in a church. The believers are the church and not a building or a organization.

The Young believer is given a basic outline of what christians should not do anymore

They are given a bible usually or in some cases goes with a friend to get one. Many times it is a translation that really loses what is being said.

They usually are never told what the bible is about so they have a muddled view that all scriptures apply to their life today. So they have no real understanding of the Old Covenant and how it was only for the Jews. The gentiles before Jesus was glorified had no hope. So they apply all of the old covenant to them that has little to do with the new Covenant of Christ. They do not realize God gave all of those dead gentiles a chance to be with him when Jesus preached to them after he was crucified...so God was faithful and just to all people.

They are not told that Grace is how they are saved and it is free. Grace sustains you and not your performance. They do sometimes call it Grace but what they interpet to be is not Grace but a performance based salvation which is not true

New believers, usually are not shown how to hear privately from the Holy Spirit, but are indoctrined to hear from a mouthpiece or read a bunch of books.

They are told of gifting and talents that are there from God, but then they are shown that some are supposedly less than others when actually the only meaning of that is that some are for personal edification and some are for edifying a group of believers that are gathered with perhaps some non believers that are curious about Jesus Christ.

These poor young believers are also sometimes taught that some of these gifts were only meant for a certain time and that has passed. So that means things given by God for a purpose are wasted because they are lied to by saying they no longer exist. How sad because the truth is The Holy Spirit and the gifts were sent to help us until Jesus returns. That is when we will no longer need them. They will pass away when Jesus returns for his bride.

Religiocity and at a mind boggling Velocity tries to destroy a believer with a destructive ferrocity.

Religiocity loves to throw the old Law with a note that says...for God to Love you you have to live up to this. You have to obey this. We do not even do that with our own children if we have any parenting skills and love at all for our children.

The New Covenant offers no secrets, there is none. But The Religious New Covenant is man made where you adhere or burn.

I believe in the Jesus covenat of Grace. Where it says I am forgiven of all sin, past presnt and some future sin that may be on my mind. Forgiven. Not because I deserve it. It is just how it is and my heiritage.

I know that I get all the redo's I need in life because he is not about Chances. He is about life

Paul said we can do anything we want but not all things are profitable.

When that Veil torn forever, we can now go before God because of Jesus. Side by side relationshipc with God and the Vertical one has been cast into the sea.
All of the believers needs are met according to his riches and Glory

We are healed

His goodness and his kindness bring us to repentence when we are wrong about something. This does not mean a wrong is a sin counted against us because nothing can seperate a believer from God the word says.

But sin does seperate man from God if that man is a man who has yet to receive salvation in the first place......key word...yet to receive

Paul said and I say for the 10000th time....It is no Longer paul that Lives but Jesus Christ that Lives through Paul

Jesus said he can do nothing apart from the Father and it is the Father doing all things through him.

So if Jesus let God and Paul in turn let Jesus...and we are men like Paul...what is our Christian walk supposed to be? Jesus living through us.

This means his yoke instead of ours. It means letting go to your wants and desires and embracing his wants and desires and letting him fulfill that in your life.

That is it. Its not predicated on the religiocity of how much money you may give. It is not about how good you can be because the word says there is non good but God.

All I need is Jesus Christ. My life in him is best served if I understand what my heiritage is in the finished work of the Cross and allow him to live through me.

I dont need a preacher, teacher or a book. I have the same Holy Spirit living in me and sent to me to comfort me and teach me all things as any person that believes has.

All I will ever share with a person is the finished work of the cross and any help regarding growing in intimacy with the Holy Spirit.

Anything else is unecessary.

Socialism: The Anti-Christian Utopian Revolution Nov 22, 2008 11:48 pm

Will socialism destroy the America we have all known? We have heard much about the rise of socialism in our nation. Does socialism affect you? Will it affect your life, family, children, work or future? What is socialism? Is socialism an evil thing? Does socialism affect the Church? Should Christians be concerned?

The short definition of socialism is this: Socialism is a political theory that advocates government ownership of industry or, said another way, government ownership in the means of production. In the last six months we have experienced an unprecedented shift from a free market economy (private ownership in the means of production) to a massive buildup of federal government ownership in business, particularly the banking, insurance and mortgage industries. This ownership and control in businesses by the federal government is also known as fascism.

Let me give you a few examples of the increase in the size of the United States federal government. The American government has increased in size by some estimates a whopping 40 percent. The government has now created, purchased, owns or controls:

Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA, an agency of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, employing more than 200,000 employees.
Transportation Security Administration, or TSA, employing more than 45,000 airport police, security and baggage screener employees.
American International Group, Inc., or AIG, a major insurance corporation. The cost to U.S. taxpayers for the purchase and bailout was over $122 billion and counting.
Federal Housing Finance Agency, or FHFA, a newly-minted regulatory agency over Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae. The cost for purchase and bailout to the U.S. taxpayers was over $200 billion and counting.
Banker “Rescue Plan,” HEIST. The cost to the U.S. taxpayers $700 billion, plus $150 billion in political pork.

In total, the U.S. federal government now employees more than 14 million workers1, not including state government employees. The government also now control a large part of the means of production. The tipping point toward more fascism and a socialistic America has arrived.

Free market capitalism is the antithesis of big government ownership and direct involvement in business. It is an economic system based on private property and business ownership of the means of production. This free market capitalistic system gives opportunity for every average citizen to achieve the American dream of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Recently, however, the fundamental spirit of capitalism has been assailed in Washington and we have moved dangerously close to a form of government that is contrary to the U.S. Constitution and the spirit of free market capitalism.

This alone is dangerous. None of this reveals, however, the political theory of socialism that undermines our republic. It is a socialistic ideology that is dangerous to the Church of Christ and our liberty as American citizens. So let’s examine some of the socialist thinking points of the utopian revolutionaries. By understanding their ideology we get a better idea of the direction our nation is heading.

THE UTOPIAN MAN

The secular socialist’s believe in the utopian man, the masters of the universe. Utopian man is the perfected man, or the god man. Educated from childhood to believe in the evolution of man from savage beast to enlightened being, socialists believe in the social engineering of the humanistic god man.

Much of modern socialistic and fascist ideology has its roots in the French, German and Russian Revolutions. Nicholas Bonneville (1700-182, for example, was an atheist and revolutionary journalist during the French Revolution. He believed it was vital to rally intellectuals to lead mankind. These intellectuals, said Bonneville, would be the “legislators of the universe” and the protectors of the people.2 According to Bonneville, “Man is God” and will “one day become angelic.” This is the same lie that Satan used to deceive Eve. “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:5).

STATE AS SOURCE

The socialist revolutionary also looks to the State, in our case the federal government, rather than God as its source for education, food, labor and leadership. Philippe Buonarroti (1761-1837), another father of socialistic ideology during the French Revolution, said, “Let the Republic be the sole proprietor; like a mother, it will afford to each of its members equal education, food and labor.” Buonarroti was a utopian (perfect man) socialist revolutionary. As a freemason he was an active supporter of the French revolution and believed that the state (republic) should take a paternal role in the affairs of man. He also promoted breaking down all “marks of private property” ownership.3 You will understand why in a moment.

To promote the state as one’s source is a direct violation of Scripture that declares: “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19) and “I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:2-3). To look to Christ for direction, truth and life is a direct violation of the socialistic ideology of the utopian man.

ELIMINATION OF PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERSHIP

Socialists view private property ownership as the root of all evil. Thomas Hobbes (1588-1679), another secular thinker whose views are still popular in our universities. went as far to teach that competition was evil. As already stated, free market capitalism is the ownership of the means of production. It has been a fundamental right in capitalistic America. This means of production leads to the American dream of property ownership. That dream is under attack with rights of ownership being “regulated” by more and more big government.

We now have, for example, “code enforcement” officers in cities employed to inspect your actions as a home owner, from the color you paint your house, when to mow your grass, how to trim your trees and where to place your trash cans. In my city, after a hurricane toppled a large tree it was illegal to fill the remaining hole with sand without a city permit. To those that don’t comply. large fines are imposed that offer an additional source of revenue for tax-starved cities. Government involvement in every aspect of life is increasing.

Eminent domain is another form of government meddling in the capitalistic system of private property rights. Eminent domain is the power of government to seize the private property of its citizens for “the common good” of the city. When eminent domain was challenged the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 it constitutional provided there was “just compensation” according to the Fifth Amendment.

This attack on and the elimination of individual property rights through the potential corruption of eminent domain and other regulations can be better understood in the premise of equal distribution of goods or the redistribution of wealth. Remember we are examining the ideology of socialism and what it will produce.

EQUAL DISTRIBUTION OF GOODS

Socialism promotes equality among each citizen. To achieve this goal they believe in the redistribution of wealth. “Own everything in common, nothing for yourself…the equality of nature…the republic of equals,” said French political theorist Sylvain Marechal (1750-1803) written in Voyages of Pythagoras. Equality sounds good especially for those struggling for economic freedom. Equality without labor, however, is not biblical.

To carry out this equality a redistribution of wealth must take place through the intervention of a fascist government. In a fascist government, the elite are those that take from the wealthy (through various taxes) and give to the poor after skimming off their cut (administrative fees). Providing a helping hand to the poor, widows and orphans is certainly biblical. To do so by force, however, is not. Government cannot make the heart of man virtuous through laws as the socialist utopian revolutionary thinks.

Nothing is free. The Declaration of Independence offers equality of opportunity. In the Parable of the Talents, Christ rebukes the man that buried his talent in the ground. Notice he doesn’t take by force from the one with 10 talents or enact legislation and give it to the man that buried his talent.

Secular thinkers have historically had a problem with the Christian concept of good and evil, or the idea of a sinful man in need of a Savior. To them the first sins committed by Adam and Eve are nothing but a myth. They believe that inequality is inherently evil and prefer to treat a stricken society through education, legislation, and as government policy makers.

Swiss philosopher that influenced the French revolution Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712-177 proposed that the “damn businessman” invented the concept of private property that created a form of envy among the people. This envy according to him birthed all forms of conflict and evil in the world. To the socialist, therefore, the free market capitalist system itself is evil and not the person. Evil, then, is the direct result of the unequal distribution of wealth.4

This is outright deception to the Christian who understands the fallen nature of man that cannot save himself and looks to the sacrificed Christ for the atonement of sin.

STATE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN

Many parents are not happy with the quality of education their children are receiving in the public school. Again, to the socialist, education is a means for building a new type of human being, the utopian man that finds salvation through intellectual enlightenment. The problem with that is it doesn’t work. As we move closer to socialism within the United States we will see more and more government involvement and experimental social engineering of our children. The result will be lawless children, void of honorable virtues and unable to think.

A SECULAR SOCIETY

A socialist believes in a secular society void of biblical morality, biblical guidance, biblical wisdom, in short void of Christ. Theodore Dezamy, another communist revolutionary, believed it important to abolish all kinds of elite education. By doing so he felt that it would promote the equality and brotherhood (fraternity) of man within an atheistic society. As an atheist he taught “Equals know neither God nor the devil.”5

As Christians we believe that Christ is vital to life and happiness. We believe in the Word of God. We believe that “All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). An atheist would flatly reject that belief as foolishness and one dangerously opposed to the utopian society.

FRATERNAL NATIONALISM

The socialist likes to talk of the brotherhood of men that promote a nationalism centered on the cause of equality. Today this ideology is heard in statements like “the common good,” or “it’s time to sacrifice.” These are code words for a socialistic nationalism used to replace the capitalistic ideology of equal opportunity among men through the division of labor.

In Christianity liberty means the freedom to do what God has called you to do within a free society. To the socialist, however, liberty means freedom from godly restraints in morality and the equality of men that are free from the evils of capitalism.

SPIRITUAL, NOT RELIGIOUS PEOPLE

Leaders during the French revolution also looked to the occult for prophetic revelation to build the utopian man within a utopian society. Pythagoras of Samos (572 BC-500 BC) was one of their intellectual icons. He was a Greek philosopher and mystic that believed the future could be predicted through mathematics. Much of his orphic beliefs were instituted within the Masonic lodges during the French revolution.

As already said, the socialist believes in the creation of the utopian man, the enlightened being. On their path to nirvana they may embrace spiritualism, mysticism, Kabala, New Age practices and yoga but are strictly opposed to the God of the Bible. They don’t believe in good and evil, nor do they see the need for salvation. In fact, the socialist believes man can save himself. They believe in the spiritual man but not the religious man. As Christians we believe that a religious person is one that is legalistic, self-righteous and hypocritical that has only a form of godliness. Therefore a true Christian denies the religious spirit but does have a religion, the religion of Christianity with Jesus Christ as the founder and cornerstone of that religion.

Socialism is on the move again. It is being promoted by university professors, in our public schools, textbooks and even through propaganda cartoons for our children. As Christians we can overcome this anti-Christ spirit. We are, after all, the only danger to its ideology. To overcome this spirit and ideology, however, will require us to educate ourselves with a biblical worldview. I like what J. Stanley Oakes Jr. of Kings College wrote, “If people study the Bible solely within the confines of religion, it risks creating a spiritual ghetto where, at best, the gospel affects the heart, the home, and the family but has little to do with government, business, education, the media, the courts, or society at large.”

Friends, we must do more than have good church services within the four walls of our buildings. We must break the cycle of the dumbing down of the Church that ignores the warfare of ideas within our world. It’s time to stop entertaining ourselves and begin to educate ourselves. We must become a thinking people. Adolf Hitler said, “What luck for rulers that men do not think.” It’s time to think again and to renew our minds with the Word of God (Romans 12:2).

Christ taught us to be salt and light in a dark world. Far too many people are ignoring what is taking place around them and others are looking to the “rapture” as an escape rather than preparing themselves to make a difference in this world. In my book “Kingdom Living” we discuss God’s expectations of His sons and daughters and various strategies to make a difference with our lives. We can turn this around. We can possess the land. Let us go up at once.

Each believer is unique and has something particular that God has called that person to do in advancing Christian life and Kingdom culture. In short, to make a difference with their lives that brings glory to God (John 15:. Yes, each believer is part of the universal Body of Christ but that body is in the world. Let’s get this reputation, “Those that have turned the world upside down have come here to.” As a Christian you have something to say that the world needs to hear. Don’t withdraw yourself from the world and the affairs of men. Be that city set on a hill.
