He is my God and I count on him to heal me. Emotionally, Physically, Spiritually. Sometimes we just get into the way. The word says nothing can separate us from the Love of God. It also says that Jesus Christ is not only the Author of our faith but also the finisher. He is the beginning and the end of our faith. Faith in who the tri-God is.

There are a lot of people out there who blame satan for their own mishaps and bad choices that they make in life. My Jesus has totally disabled satan from having any authority in my life. He has no power. If I get up each day and renew my mind and spend time with the Holy Spirit, who resides in me, the power that comes from the Lord will overcome any obstacle that life presents that day.

I will have my ups and downs because its how we are made, and I accept that. It also speaks of seasons in a persons life. Sometimes we are planting, sometimes we are nurturing and sometimes we are harvesting

Jesus is that lamb that John the Baptist said "Behold the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. Our sin has been taken away. The worlds sin is taken away. It is what separated man from God. In order to receive the forgiveness and establish a relationship, you receive Christ. From that point on you have the forgiveness eternally.

We are saved by believing, but we are not kept saved because of our performance. Rather it is by his grace. Just like some of us have relationships with friends and family that have different levels, it is the same way with Christians and their relationship with God. Some will be sold out to the point of being obnoxious, while others will he at differing levels. But one thing is sure, our relationship with God is always changing somewhat.

We aren't yo-yo's. There is no place recorded where God says in the New Covenant that he counts sin against us. No, we are then in the family. Our relationship with him is supposed to be about intimacy. It is supposed to be about the Union that we receive when we are saved. Sometimes that takes years to form.

My sin, just like everyones was dealt with at the cross. It is not my job to try and live this great sinless life because no one but Jesus ever did it. It is not going to happen. But what I can do is allow Jesus Christ to live through me. I can be a branch that gets all of its strength from the one true vine. Then my union with him is being fulfilled. He says there is no law for those doing that.

The truth is that the Bible does not teach that there will be new light and advanced spiritual experiences in the latter days; it teaches the exact opposite! Nothing in Daniel or the New Testament epistles can be tortured into advocating the idea that we of the end of the Christian era shall enjoy light that was not known at its beginning.

One Nature

By: Dan Stone
There's a deep rut in the Christian faith, as most believers experience it. It's like a ditch that you run your car into and can't get out of. Unless God tows a believer out of the rut, he or she will never fully live out of their union with Christ. The rut is this: most of us believe that in the depths of our being we are both good and bad. Or, to put it in theological terms, we are both righteous and sinful. Using a common illustration, we believe that we have within us both a white dog and a black dog, a good nature and a bad nature, that are fighting for control.

But that is not true. It is vital that we know it's not true, because if we believe that we are both righteous and sinful, it will be impossible to live out of our union with Christ and to rest, trusting that He lives through us moment by moment. Instead, we will be focused on ourselves, on getting our act together, on winning the war that supposedly rages within us, trying to suppress the bad part of us so that the good part will reflect the character of Christ. This endless self-effort is the complete opposite of what Paul wrote:
I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God... (Galatians 2:20)
The only way out of this dilemma, of believing that we are both good and bad, is to understand that the realm of the spirit, above the line, is singular. It is one.

The realm of appearances, below the line, is a duality. It is two.In the realm of appearances, there is constant evidence of good and evil, both outside and inside us. If we judge by appearances, we arrive at the logical conclusion that we are both good and bad. That looks entirely valid. Christians have believed this for centuries. Except for a small minority who have come to know their true identity in Christ, the whole Christian world accepts the lie.Unfortunately, although something may not be true above the line, if below the line we think it is true, it still controls us. We must choose to live out of what is singular, rather than what is dual. The realm of the spirit, the singular realm, is eternal reality.

That is where our spirit being lives, and where our true identity is settled forever. The realm of appearance, although we must live in it in the here and now, is false as far as our identity goes. All of life depends on which realm is ultimate reality to you: the realm of spirit or the realm of appearances. That's going to determine what you believe and how you live.Choosing to believe that you are not both good and evil can be difficult. All of the external proof, all of the apparent evidence, all of the sight, supports the opposite: that you have two natures. "You are good, yes, a little good, but boy, you are still wicked; you are still evil."

Only the Holy Spirit can reveal to you that you only have one nature, not two. In the core of your being you are not both righteous and sinful; you are only righteous. From: Stone, Dan, The Rest of the Gospel: When the partial Gospel has worn you out. Dallas: One Press. 2000. pgs. 89,90.

blaster laster plaster caster

People get so confined by what they do, why they do it and what it really means. I was reading some blogs today, and also a few questions on yahoo. I guess I just find it sad how Christianity and the bible is actually viewed.

I read where people think that Jesus is this man/God that is always lovey dovey and that he is always coming across as compassionate. I will say this. You will find many places where his never ending compassion is readily seen. You can find places where he healed people of many things.

But that is only half the story. He also spoke his mind, and sometimes very harshly to priests. He called them white washed tombs. Do you know the meaning behind that? When a person had layed in a tomb for a period of time, the stench was so bad it was unbearable. If they were removed at some point and the tomb was used again they would use a white wash on the walls to try and overcome the stench. This was like a modern day paint. It did not work however very well and the stench remained. So this meant that the priests tried to clean themselves spiritually and still had an odor spiritually about them that was extremely pungent.

Do you recall him and the money changers? I bet he asked if he could over turn that table. The word calls us to judge with a righteous judgement!

Do you think he was happy with the disciples when they woke him on the boat because of the foul weather? He questioned their Faith. Here he was sleeping through a storm. That is what he wants us to do too. Put our trust and faith in him. If we do that, we know no storm can overcome us.

When he was on the cross, and he rose again, he called it finished. yet, we seem to think our relationship with God is cognizant of our performance. Our relationship with God is only found in what he did. Not what we can do.

Dennis

When we focus on our Performance;

Christian service becomes

perfunctory and lifeless

when we are obsessed with Him

our service is literally

energized with divine life

Law or Spirit Nov 28, 2008 3:35 am

Live by the Law or by the Spirit?

In Jeremiah 31:31-34 God speaks of a new covenant to come. The Covenant of Christ. He calls the old covenant imperfect. He says that he will write moral law on the peoples hearts that come into this covenant.. He says he will have a personal relationship and indwell with these people in this New Covenant.

Hebrews 8:13 says that the old covenant is non existent anymore to a believer in Jesus Christ. The New Covenant reigns. In the Old Covenant, the Gentiles were not included at all. 1 Timothy 1:9 says that the law was only given for the unrighteous to begin with, so they could know they were separated from God.

The Holy Spirit is given now to each believer. No one has more opportunity to hear from him more than another, if they will just listen. He indwells, He does not leave just because we do something stupid. That is an incorrect teaching. He comforts us and teaches us all things.

Galatians 5 says they that are of the Spirit are under no such law. 1 John 1:9 was spoken to the unbelievers telling them that if they confessed their sin, God is faithful and just to forgive them and they can have a relationship with the father, just as the other people in the fellowship mentioned in 1 John1.

My New Years resolutions Nov 27, 2008 4:34 am

I have never really done them before because I have rarely seen anyone follow through to be honest. At least the ones people publicly proclaim.

My first resolution is to work as hard as I can to make money to help my son as he is off to college in pre-law. He wants to be a constitutional lawyer and eventually study economics at the Kato institute. I need to make a lot of money to bring Mercy here. My answer is, God, you can do it, I will help.

My second resolution is to figure out how better to deal with friends, perhaps people that I just meet as well. I have a low tolerance for blindly accepting what has been said or what is being perpetrated on you. How do you deal with some friends that when you share something important going on in life, they can not go 30 seconds into the conversation without bringing their own stuff into it, things that if they were not so self absorbed would be put on a back burner and not be brought up until a conversation is over. Usually I try not to even discuss anything personal with those people.

Yet, it seems that they usually always want to just go on and on about things and people that you have no connection to. You might not mind it if it were not a continual occurrence.

I want to realize the things that I should be smiling at and smile a it too.I have been doing more and more of that lately. It has its way of soothing the soul.

I am always going to be myself. I am not going to try and please people. Why do that? Seriously? It only makes you uncomfortable and it creates a facade that is just a little game that is built on a house of cards.

Its funny how we all have used the christian jargon around believers but is it really a real thing or just a show for people we are around. Be real. Whatever your reality is. Be real.

I don't know why it is, but people seem to get these perceptions in their heads about what we should be in life. I think being honest is the best thing.

Gregg D wrote in a blog the other day about how a person can write a great and deep blog and they usually are ignored and the goofy and fun loving stuff gets a lot of attention. I think that is very true, and I think it sadly is a reflection of society in General.

In the scriptures it talks of talents and shows how important it is to not only protect them but also to make use and prosper them.

With that, comes a responsibility not only to understand what the talents are, the purpose of them in your life, and also how they can benefit others if you use them properly.

Instead we have a huge mass of believers that don't want to rock the boat and not rock others. Iron sharpens iron. If we do not exercise our mind and body we become fat and lazy. Fat and lazy is what defeated Nero. Fat and Lazy allows for Trojan Horses to be placed in front of you and you be overtaken because your guard is down.

Its happening continually in the body of Christ which is the Church. Its happening in Countries. Open your eyes.

Why does Godly Cook hide behind Racism? Nov 25, 2008 4:15 pm

I am just curious, as I have given many reasons regarding issues why I chose to vote for the person that I did. I did not vote for them because he was white. He was clearly more accomplished and qualified. The President elects plans are marxist. He has a very corrupt background filled with More than questionable friends. His economic copying plans are those of Woodrow Wilson that sent America into a 17 year depression.

So I am accused of being a racist for saying I hope he chokes on a Chicken bone? I did not know Steve that the black community had a corner on the chicken market. You voted for him because of his skin color. You could not give one reason that qualified him.

Marxists are enemies of this countries constitution Steve. I didn't vote for Skin Color. If a truly qualified and intelligent man such as a Thomas Sowell or the honorable Clarence Thomas were running, they would have had my vote easily over John McCain. Hold up the mirror Steve. Many fingers are pointing back at you.

Stupid Black Men...How to Play the Race Card--and Lose Nov 25, 2008 4:06 pm

BY Larry Elder

Is life unfair for black Americans?

Is racial equality the answer to every question of public policy?

Are a huge group of citizens being kept down by “the man”?

Radio host and bestselling author Larry Elder has made a career out of being a thorn-in-the-side of the conventional wisdom crowd. He deflates the pompous and points out the completely logical truths hidden behind the nutty rhetoric and out-of-control pandering of many of the politicians and so-called leaders of a variety of special interest groups. In Stupid Black Men, he takes on the mind-set that always captures the most media attention—as well as masses of public money—in this country: those who rail against racism as the root of all problems, and who end up hurting precisely those they claim to be helping.

Whether they are demagogues like Al Sharpton, established politicians like Hillary Clinton, or entertainers like Danny Glover, no one escapes Elder’s cogent arguments and rapier wit. His sometimes hilarious and always infuriating examples of wrong-headedness skewer not just politicians for their smugness and hypocrisy, but also actors, educators, religious leaders and the “mainscream media” for keeping the story in the headlines.

But Elder has a positive message, too: though they are fewer—and generally not as loud-mouthed—there are leaders and role models today who want to sweep away race-based whining and urge everyone in America, to share in the hard work, smart thinking and optimism that make this country great.

Preface
“The greatest challenge we face . . . is the oldest, and in some ways today, the newest: the problem of race,” said President Clinton at his historic “race relations” speech in 1997. “Race plays a part of everything in America,” says famed O. J. Simpson defense attorney Johnnie Cochran.
Nonsense.
These statements would be funny, if not so tragic
