DAVID SERVANT HALF TRUTHS Dec 15, 2007 10:32 pm
209 Views
The Calvinist makes God a lying, deceiving, bigoted, malicious, unjust, confused hypocrite who is responsible for the world’s evil and who creates people for the expressed purpose of torturing them forever. If any man did the things Calvinists say God does, every person on the earth would rightly consider that man worthy of immediate execution, and certainly not worthy to be worshiped. Who is really robbing God of glory? Is it the non-Calvinist who says that man must yield to God’s Spirit using his God-given free will in order to be saved, or is it the Calvinist, who turns God into a monster?

LET US EXAMINE DAVID SERVANTS ACCUSATION.

First of all since Satan is not the Creator he has no power to create anything. So where does evil come from? Are God and satan on equal terms? Is satan so powerful that he dictates to God or is Satan just a fallen creature created by God who knew full well that satan was going to corrupt himself?

Who really runs the universe God or Satan? God!!

If God is not Supreme then who creates the blind, the weak, the retarded?

Why are you so special that you had so much more faith than the next guy?

Why is hell created in the first place? Why is there eternal punishment? Why do some never ever get a chance to hear the gospel??

Who gave you the gift to get wealth and live in a wealthy nation? Why are you so special when others die hungry every day?

Why are some lepers and others clean?

Why are some poor and some rich?

Is the devil so powerful?

NO an no and no!!

Jesus is Lord...call him a monster humanist if you will but he created evil and good...he created the heavens the earth and all therein..including the blind, lame, poor rich, mighty and weak.

Call him unfair all you want but he is God and you are not...who are you to judge God...shall the thing made say to his Maker why have you made me thus?!!

Foolish Galatians that believe another gospel...this same God who is Lord over all one day you will meet face to face. Will you trust in your own arm to save you?

God chose the foolishness of preaching to save those who will believe. To those ordained to eternal life. God opens the eyes. God gives faith. God gives hope. Salvation is of the Lord!

Satan is a liar from the beginning. During the temptation in the wilderness, Satan told Jesus that all the kingdoms of the world were his and that he gave them to whomsoever he would. He was lying. He is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44. Satan's statement directly contradicts Daniel 4:17

Satan control the world system. The darkness. The lies and deception but that is all. He is an illusionist. He is a created being...simply put a fallen angel and nothing more.

Daniel 4:17,25,26

The most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will

2 Chronicles 20:6

O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY ARMINIANISM IS A HUMANIST DOCTRINE? Dec 15, 2007 3:05 pm
174 Views
Arminians deny the doctrine of total depravity.

The bible says that man is not good. Man is dead in trespasses and sin. Man has a fallen nature. Even mans will is corrupt. Nothing is good in man. Man cannot do good or choose good. Sola scriptura.

The fallen nature is totally depraved. To deny this is to deny the bible.

To say man can choose God is to say man has some good in the fallen nature. This is humanism. Man is good in the state of nature...David Hume...humanist.

If you contribute to your salvation then you are a humanist and are even as Cain. You present your filthy rags of self to a holy God. SELF HAS NO PLACE IN THE ATONEMENT.

Faith in Jesus Christ is an act of God. One cannot have faith without Gods opening the understanding to the gospel. This faith in Christ originates in and from God and not from mans fallen nature.

Romans 3: 9-31

What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin,
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:

Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways, And the way of peace have they not known, There is no fear of God before their eyes. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe, for there is no difference:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God, Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

A spiritually dead person cannot give himself spiritual life . Dec 14, 2007 11:02 am

Did Jesus intend to save all individuals of the human race by his work of redemption or did he intend to save only the elect?

The Arminian Christian humanists say that Jesus Christ died for all, but only those who trust Him receive eternal life. However, those who by studying the scriptures objectively and agree with the gospel preached by the reformers say that God has ordained that the gospel be preached to all and that those for whom Christ died,( his elect) through the proclamation or preaching of the gospel will have ears to hear because God will exercise His sovereign power to save them. The holy Spirit will call them out of the world. Translating them from the power of darkness into the kingdom of his dear son.

Since man is totally depraved, that is dead in trespasses and sin, he has no ability on his own to come to God. God is not in his thoughts. In fact the bible says that the unregenerate or carnal man is in enmity (has a deep seated hatred)with God....how then can one who by nature hates God come to him? He cannot!

A spiritually dead person cannot give himself spiritual life anymore than a physically dead person can give himself physical live. That requires a supernatural act on the part of God, for God alone has the words of eternal life!

We get into the family of God in the same way that we get into our human family, by being born into it. By the supernatural act of God Himself, one becomes born again, born from above, born of God, through His Holy Spirit. This act takes us out of the kingdom of Satan and places us in His spiritual kingdom by a spiritual rebirth.

John 6:44

No man can come to me, except the Father that sent me draw him.

John 6:37

All that the Father giveth me shall come unto me; and he that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out

WHOSOEVER DOES NOT MEAN FREE CHOICE. Dec 13, 2007 10:49 pm
225 Views
Dr. Ken Matto

The term "whosoever" has been interpreted to mean that a person of their own free will can accept Christ if they so choose. However, the word "whosoever" is the Greek word "pas" which is used about 1,200 times in the New Testament.

The term simply translated means "each, all, everyone, every." There is absolutely no implication in the word "pas" of "anytime, anywhere, or choice." This word does not endorse any idea of a person having a free will to make a choice. To say that a person has the free will to do so is to bring in a false interpretation to the word.

1 John 4:14-15

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

The word "whosoever" in this verse is not the word "pas" but it is the word "Os" It is a relative pronoun which may be translated "who." This word does not offer any implication as to a free will anytime, anywhere, or choice.

Revelations 22:17

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely

The first one is "heareth" which is the Greek word "akouw" which means to hear with understanding not just the physical act of hearing. The second word is "whosoever" which is the Greek word "qelw" (thelo) which means "to wish to have or desire." The word "thelo" is a word which is defined by the context it is used in. Remember the word "akouw’ to hear with understanding? Who are the only ones who understand?

John 6:44

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day

Ephesians 2:1-5 shows that were dead in sins. The only way a person can desire the things of the Lord is if God opens their eyes to the Scriptures. A dead man cannot raise himself nor do anything except remain dead. When God resurrects us with our resurrected souls, we then will have a desire for the things of the Lord since we are commanded to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord.

Luke 24:45

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

Jesus had to open the understanding of the disciples on the road to Emmaus for them to know who he was. It is the same way with anyone approaching the Scriptures, God must open the meaning of Scripture as well as granting salvation according to whom He chooses to draw. God does the drawing as well as the saving. Only those who God elects to salvation will hear and understand and then have a desire to come to the waters freely which is the water of the gospel. It is God who initiates salvation and it is God who completes salvation, we are only passive in the reception of that salvation. There is no way that any of these verses convey a free will, anytime, anywhere, salvation plan because the language will not support it. This is just another attempt for man to exalt himself to a position higher than God in the area of salvation.

Deuteronomy 30:19

This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live
.

The law was given to show man that he cannot keep the law. Man cannot choose good because the sin nature is totally depraved. If you are under the law and clinging to your self efforts then you are not under grace and are not in Christ but trusting in your own self righteousness. Jesus came to fulfill the law of God. He is the lamb that was slain from the foundation of the World. When God point to sin and tells the sinner to master it then he is in effect showing him the impossibility of keeping the law. Cain slew Abel because he was dead in trespasses and sin.He trusted in his own arm to save him. Pleasing God by works. If Cain could Master his sin Christ would have not needed to come. The inability to keep the law points us to Christ who alone is good.

O foolish Galatians..... trying to win favor with God through the efforts of your flesh. How insulting to the precious blood of Jesus that alone atones for mans sin!

Romans 8:1-10

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally
( unregenerated fallen nature) minded is death, but to be spiritually (mind of Christ, born of God) minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity(means a deep seated hatred) against God, for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness

REPENTANCE IS A GIFT FROM GOD...SALVATION IS NOT BASED ON WORKS! Dec 11, 2007 10:20 pm

REPENTANCE MEANS TO TURN BACK TO GOD.

Definition

In the Bible, the word “repent” means to "change your mind." The Bible also tells us that true repentance results in a change of actions. The full Biblical definition of repentance is a change of mind that results in a change of action

Acts 3:19

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord

[B]Acts 26:20

But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance

To repent, in relation to salvation, is to change your mind in regards to Jesus Christ. In Peter’s sermon on the Day of Pentecost he concludes with a call for the people to repent from rejecting Jesus to change their minds from rejection of Christ as the Messiah, to faith in Him as both Messiah and Savior.

Acts 2:36

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ

Biblical repentance, in relation to salvation, is changing your mind from rejection of Christ, to faith in Christ. Repentance is not a work we do to earn salvation. No one can repent and come to God unless God draws that person to Him.

John 6:44

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day

Repentance is something God gives as a gift and it is only possible because of His grace. No one can repent unless God grants repentance. All of salvation, including repentance and faith, is a result of God's drawing us, opening our eyes, and changing our hearts. God's longsuffering leads us to repentance

Acts 5:31

Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins

Romans 2:4

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

2 Timothy 2:25

In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth. And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Repentance is not a work that earns salvation but repentance unto salvation does result in works. It is impossible to fully change your mind without that causing a change in action. In the Bible, repentance results in a change in behavior. That is why John the Baptist called people to produce fruit in keeping with repentance. A person who has truly repented from rejection of Christ to faith in Christ will give evidence of a changed life

Biblical repentance is changing your mind about Jesus Christ and turning to God through faith for salvation. This is a divine act of God. Turning from sin is not the definition of repentance, but it is one of the results of genuine, faith-based repentance towards the Lord Jesus Christ.

WHOSOEVER WILL......Salvation is a divine work of God....HE WILLS. Dec 11, 2007 11:36 am
252 Views
Salvation is a divine work of God. Man does not cooperate with God in his own salvation. God alone determines who shall be saved, and God alone accomplishes the work of salvation.

Salvation is of the Lord. The will to come to Christ is the outcome of God's unconditional, free and sovereign election.

God determines sovereignly who shall be saved, and who shall not be saved. Salvation is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy and according to His sovereign good pleasure, God is merciful to whom He will be merciful, and whom He will He hardeneth.

Gods sovereignty is not limited by the will of man. God performs his will and does not need to depend on man. Yes, indeed he uses vessels meet for his use refined in the fire but these vessels are also a divine work of God. Prepared for glory.

The christian humanist desires to dethrone God, and to be God instead of Him. "Ye shall be as God," I will, I can, I know, I want, I choose,

However, if man replies against God, he is being rebellious. "Who art thou, O man that repliest against God?" Jesus alone is Lord, master, King, and we must bow the knee to his sovereign will.

Only through the sovereign, irresistible grace of God in Christ, that draws the sinner does he gives eyes to see and ears to hear, and a heart to desire after Him. So that no flesh will ever glory in His presence!

We have nothing to boast in...no works of any kind. Just to be blessed by Gods mercy to the undeserving sinner. That is why it is called AMAZING GRACE !

Isaiah 45 : 7

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Amos 3:6

Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

Isaiah 45:5-7

I am the Lord, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no God. I will gird you, though you have not known Me; 6That men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun That there is no one besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other, The One forming light and creating darkness, Causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the Lord who does all these.

Exodus 4:11

And the Lord said to him, "Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes him dumb or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?

John 6:44

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him.

John 6:65

And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father

Whosoever will may come.....only God by his Spirit makes us willing to come! Dec 10, 2007 1:05 pm

"whosoever will may come,"

There is no sinner that is willing to come to Jesus without the power of the holy Spirit. Only those that God calls are able to come to God. Man is depraved and not in Gods thoughts. He is in enmity with the gospel and cannot will to come to the truth. Only God can set the captives free from Satans dominion.

Salvation is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy, Rom. 9:16

The will to come is the fruit of the drawing of the Father. And the number of the "whosoever will" is therefore limited to those whom it pleases the Father to give to Christ, to give them a new heart, and to call them out of darkness into His marvelous light. And preceding this drawing of the Father, there is no saving activity on the part of the sinner whatever
.

John 6:65

And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father

Augustine on Gods Sovereign Grace and the Depravity of Man Dec 7, 2007 11:12 am
262 Views
Augustine learned from experience that the human will is corrupted and bound by sin. When unregenerate man struggles against the evil of his nature, he does so by exercising his will which is corrupt according to the sinful nature. The very exercise of his will only reinforces the fact that man is unable to keep the law, unable to please God, he must be born of God and given a new nature. Augustine knew this. It is very clear in his writings.

Augustine begins his Confessions with the famous and often quoted (or misquoted) words, "Thou hast formed us for Thyself and our hearts are restless till they find their rest in Thee" (I.i.l)

Unto Thee be praise, unto Thee be glory. O Thou fountain of mercy! While I became more wretched, Thou became more near. Thy right hand was ever ready to pluck me out of the mire and to cleanse me: yet I was ignorant of it (Vl.xvi.26).

By inward stings didst Thou disturb me that I should be dissatisfied, until Thou wert made sure to my inward sight. And by the secret hand of thy remedy was my swelling lessened, and the disordered and darkened eyesight of my mind was made whole from day to day by the sharp anointing of healthful sorrows (Vll.viii.12).

And I enquired what iniquity really was. And I discovered it not to be a substance [as Manichaean philosophy had viewed it] but a perversion of the will bent aside from Thee, O God....And I marveled that I now loved Thee and not just a fantasy instead of Thee. (Vl.xv.22. 23)

And I sought a way of acquiring strength sufficient to enjoy Thee; but I found it not until I embraced that "mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus," "who is over all, God blessed forever," calling unto me and saying, "I am the way, the truth and the life" (VII.xviii.24)

O my God, let me with gratitude remember and confess unto Thee thy mercies bestowed upon me. Let my bones be steeped in thy love and let them say, Who is like unto Thee, O Lord! "Thou hast loosed my bonds; I will offer unto Thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving." And how Thou hast loosed them will I declare; and all who worship Thee when they hear these things shall say: "Blessed be the Lord in heaven and in earth, great and wonderful is his name" (VIII.1.1)

Whence is this monstrous thing? And why is it? The mind commands the body and it obeys forthwith; the mind commands itself and is resisted. The mind commands the hand to be moved, and such readiness is there that the command is scarce to be distinguished from the obedience...The mind commands the mind to command the will, and yet though it be itself, it obeyeth not. Whence this monstrous thing? It commands itself to will and would not give the command unless it willed, yet is not done that which it commandeth. But it willeth not entirely; therefore it commandeth not entirely (VIII.ix.21)

I flung myself down, how I do not know, under a certain fig tree, giving free course to my tears. I was saying these things and weeping in the most bitter contrition of my heart when, behold, I heard a voice as of a boy or a girl, I know not which, coming from a neighboring house, chanting and oft repeating, "Take up and read take up and read." I grasped [the New Testament manuscript in his hands], opened, and in silence read that paragraph on which my eyes first fell "Not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying; but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh to fulfill the lusts thereof" (Rom. 13:13, 14). No further would I read, nor did I need; for instantly, as the sentence ended--by a light. as it were, of security infused into my heart, all the gloom of doubt vanished away (Vlll.xii.28, 29)

Dave Hunt vs. Charles Spurgeon # 2 Dec 7, 2007 2:42 am
246 Views
James White

( Spurgeon continues) There is no soul living who holds more firmly to the doctrines of grace than I do, [emphasis added, JRW] and if any man asks me whether I am ashamed to be called a Calvinist, I answer- I wish to be called nothing but a Christian; but if you ask me, do I hold the doctrinal views which were held by John Calvin, I reply, I do in the main hold them, and rejoice to avow it. But far be it from me even to imagine that Zion contains none but Calvinistic Christians within her walls, or that there are none saved who do not hold our views. Most atrocious things have been spoken about the character and spiritual condition of John Wesley, the modern prince of Arminians. I can only say concerning him that, while I detest many of the doctrines which he preached, yet for the man himself I have a reverence second to no Wesleyan; and if there were wanted two apostles to be added to the number of the twelve, I do not believe that there could be found two men more fit to be so added than George Whitefield and John Wesley. The character of John Wesley stands beyond all imputation for self-sacrifice, zeal, holiness, and communion with God; he lived far above the ordinary level of common Christians, and was one “of whom the world was not worthy.” I believe there are multitudes of men who cannot see these truths, or, at least, cannot see them in the way in which we put them, who nevertheless have received Christ as their Savior, and are as dear to the heart of the God of grace as the soundest Calvinist in or out of Heaven.
...

It is often said that the doctrines we believe have a tendency to lead us to sin. I have heard it asserted most positively, that those high doctrines which we love, and which we find in the Scriptures, are licentious ones. I do not know who will have the hardihood to make that assertion, when they consider that the holiest of men have been believers in them. I ask the man who dares to say that Calvinism is a licentious religion, what he thinks of the character of Augustine, or Calvin, or Whitefield, [emphasis added, JRW: Hunt vociferously and unfairly attacks the character of both Augustine and Calvin] who in successive ages were the great exponents of the system of grace; or what will he say of the Puritans, whose works are full of them? Had a man been an Arminian in those days, he would have been accounted the vilest heretic breathing, but now we are looked upon as the heretics, and they as the orthodox. We have gone back to the old school; we can trace our descent from the apostles. It is that vein of free-grace, running through the sermonizing of Baptists, which has saved us as a denomination. Were it not for that, we should not stand where we are today. We can run a golden line up to Jesus Christ Himself, through a holy succession of mighty fathers, who all held these glorious truths; and we can ask concerning them, “Where will you find holier and better men in the world?” No doctrine is so calculated to preserve a man from sin as the doctrine of the grace of God. Those who have called it “a licentious doctrine” did not know anything at all about it. Poor ignorant things, they little knew that their own vile stuff was the most licentious doctrine under Heaven. If they knew the grace of God in truth, they would soon see that there was no preservative from lying like a knowledge that we are elect of God from the foundation of the world. There is nothing like a belief in my eternal perseverance, and the immutability of my Father’s affection, which can keep me near to Him from a motive of simple gratitude. Nothing makes a man so virtuous as belief of the truth. A lying doctrine will soon beget a lying practice. A man cannot have an erroneous belief without by-and-by having an erroneous life. I believe the one thing naturally begets the other. Of all men, those have the most disinterested piety, the sublimest reverence, the most ardent devotion, who believe that they are saved by grace, without works, through faith, and that not of themselves, it is the gift of God. Christians should take heed, and see that it always is so, lest by any means Christ should be crucified afresh, and put to an open shame

It is simply beyond comprehension how, in the light of this chapter, penned by Spurgeon himself, anyone can possibly maintain that He “unequivocally” denied the particular redemptive work of Jesus Christ. One might as well read the King Follett Funeral Discourse of Joseph Smith Jr., the founder of Mormonism, and as a result, call him a “monotheist” as maintain the completely backwards assertion of Dave Hunt that Spurgeon denied the doctrine. Let the reader recall that it is this very chapter that Hunt cites as “unequivocally” denying the doctrine, yet, on the very next page of the chapter titled “Defense of Calvinism,” these words appear: “That seems to me a conception a thousand times more repulsive than any of those consequences which are said to be associated with the Calvinistic and Christian doctrine of special and particular redemption.” Spurgeon says, “Limited atonement is a Christian doctrine.” Dave Hunt isolates a section from a preceding page, imports his own misunderstandings into it, and says, “Spurgeon unequivocally denied limited atonement.” The facts are plain. The only question is, will Dave Hunt have the honesty and integrity to stop trying to blow smoke across the landscape and simply admit his mistake and withdraw, with apologies, his assertion?

Someone might ask, “So what’s the big deal? Spurgeon isn’t Scripture.” Quite true. However, this example shows everyone exactly how Dave Hunt uses sources, whether they be historical or biblical sources. Mr. Hunt sees only what he wants to see. He ignores anything, even if it is a direct counter-statement, that does not fit with his “thesis” concerning a topic. His books are filled with this kind of “research.” He can come up with new “translations” of biblical passages such as Acts 13:48 that end up being identical with the New World Translation of Jehovah’s Witnesses through the very same willy-nilly use of sources that has produced this glaring error. And the worst part is, he will not admit the errors. Instead, he chooses to blame Spurgeon, or, when shown to have completely misrepresented the Greek text, or engaged in gross eisegesis of the text, he identifies those who seek to correct his errors as “elitists.” Is He who is the truth served by this kind of attitude and activity?
