DIFFERENT TYPES OF PRAYER......THE PRAYER OF FAITH. Feb 23, 2008 1:37 pm
232 Views
In order to understand this kind of prayer we must understand what faith is. Faith does not originate in man. Real faith is a supernatural gift given from God to believe the impossible regardless of the circumstances. Faith is not hope and nor is it wishful thinking. Faith to move mountains is not something that humanity has the capasity to manifest in the self.

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1)

Positive thinking is not faith. Quoting scriptures until you are blue in the face is not faith. Faith is Gods faith. The assurance that what you have prayed for is answered. You know that you know that you know. This faith originates in God and only in God does this faith recieve answered prayer. This faith is what saves a person. Saving faith is really assurance that Jesus is God come in the flesh and assurance that when we recieve him then he becomes our Savior and who gives us eternal life. Faith is a gift from God to believe what looks in the natural to be impossible.

"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our Faith" (1John 5:4)

Faith is often manifest in the prophetic. When the prophet is (notice) TOLD BY GOD TO SPEAK UNTO THE MOUNTAIN.

Faith accompanies healing, miracles, and great exploits.

"And the Prayer of Faith shall save the sick, and the LORD shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him"
(James 5:15)

"The people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits" (Daniel 11:32)

The prayer of faith is always in Gods will.

"Always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God." Colossians 4:12

"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure." Philippians 2:13

"I know Whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day."
2 Timothy 1:12

"And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him."
1 John 5:14-15

"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
Mark 11:24

"Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have Faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you." Matthew 17:19-20

DIFFERENT TYPES OF PRAYER....THE PRAYER OF AGREEMENT Feb 21, 2008 1:34 pm

Matthew 18:19,20

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

When two people are in agreement with one another on the specific prayer request that they put before the Lord then they are approaching the throne of God praying for the exact same thing. (Leviticus 26: 8 )

The scriptures say that five will chase one hundred but one hundred will chase ten thousand. In prayer the prayer of agreement brings significant results because of the unity of Gods people. God has given the holy Spirit's power and authority to the Church and when we stand together in unity we can see more of God's power released (Matthew 28: 16-20). Unity is standing together with one purpose, sharing a joint vision and trusting God's Word to be fulfilled. Remember that all prayer must be led by the Lord and not motivated by self. If we ask amiss then we will not see a release of the request. We must always seek Gods direction. A promping in our spirits is a Do and a check in the spirit is a Do not Do.

Act 2:1-3

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 12:5

Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

.DIFFERENT KINDS OF PRAYER......Petition Feb 20, 2008 12:39 am
262 Views
Petition type of prayer is asking God for the specific things we need in our life. Give us our daily bread. Give us the things we need to survive, a roof over our heads, employment etc. Petitions are usually self orientated, presenting our personal needs to our Heavenly Father, in trust that He will provide. Be specific in your petitions, pray in details and not in generalities. Petition prayer to God is the cure of all anxiety. Prayer is asking God and receiving from him everything necessary for our existence in the world as children of God. When we pray, God will meet all our physical and spiritual needs.

Definition of petition

request: a formal message requesting something that is submitted to an authority
write a petition for something to somebody; request formally and in writing.

A formal request that the court take some action; a complaint.A formal application or request submitted to the court for consideration

A petition is a request to an authority, most commonly a government official or public entity. In the colloquial sense, a petition is a document addressed to some official & signed by numerous individuals.

A document addressed to a government entity, making a request of some sort, signed by a group of people who agree with the premise of the request.

Ephesians 3:20-21

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or
think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world
without end. Amen

WOW...SNOW WONT MELT TILL JULY IN MONTREAL Feb 19, 2008 12:33 am
331 Views
I couldnt believe it.....so much snow in Montreal that there is no where to put it! So much it said on CBC Tonight that it wont all melt until July...now that is alot of snow. Here is a news blurb.....
Montrealers will have to get used to the sight of snow removal trucks until at least next week, as the city cleans up after Sunday's blizzard.

It will take nearly a week to remove the 32 centimetres of snow that fell on the greater Montreal region during the blizzard, blanketing swaths of southern and eastern Ontario and Quebec on the weekend.

People shovel out their cars as the blizzard cleanup continues in Montreal. The City of Montreal is reluctant to put a deadline on snow removal operations.

This snow-removal operation will cost about $20 million and involves about 3,000 city employees working 12-hour days.

Cold weather is making it more difficult to move the snow because it is frozen, officials said.

Montrealers will have to get used to the sight of snow removal trucks until at least next week, as the city cleans up after Sunday's blizzard.

The operation will cost about a third of Montreal's $128-million snow removal budget for the 2007-2008 winter season.

Montreal Mayor Gérald Tremblay asked residents to do their part by cleaning off their cars, respecting no-parking signs and taking public transit when they can.

Many seem to have heeded the advice, causing overcrowding on some of Montreal's metro lines.

Public transit users in Montreal are reporting lengthy delays on the orange line, which has been packed full two mornings in a row by the time the train has pulled out of the new Laval stops.

The public transit corporation said there is nothing it can do about overcrowding after winter storms, at least until 2010, when it expects to buy more metro cars.

KINDS OF PRAYER....THE PRAYER OF PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING Feb 18, 2008 2:22 pm
269 Views
Thanksgiving is giving thanks to God for all things in our life. We are commanded to give thanks in all circumstances. Being thankful is being grateful for his protection, provision, blessing, and most of all for his Son JESUS CHRIST. When we thank the Lord for his goodness, he continues to pour out his goodness. There are trials and seasons of temptations but God is working all things together for our good! THE DEVIL CANNOT WIN ANY BATTLE WITH THE HIGH PRAISES OF GOD IN OUR MOUTH AND A TWO EDGED SWORD IN OUR HANDS! FOR WE ARE POWERED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT and covered by the blood of the lamb...if God be for us who can be against us?!

Psalm 92:1

IT IS A GOOD THING TO GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD, AND TO SING PRAISES UNTO THY NAME, O MOST HIGH.

Psalm 35:18

I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.

Psalm 106:47

Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name,
and to triumph in thy praise.

Psalm 68:19

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

1 Thessalonians 1:2

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF PRAYER ......Prayer of supplication Feb 15, 2008 5:02 pm
374 Views
There are different types of prayer taught in the bible. I will cover some of them over the next few blogs.

Prayer of supplication

"Praying always with all prayer and supplications in the spirit"
Ephesians 6:18

supplicate

1. To ask for humbly or earnestly, as by praying.
2. To make a humble entreaty to; beseech.

beseech
1. To address an earnest or urgent request to; implore: beseech them for help.
2. To request earnestly; beg for: beseech help. Synonym…..to beg.
[Middle English bisechen, from Old English besēcan : be-, be- + sēcan, to seek; see seek.]

So in other words…supplication is to earnestly and humbly seek with persistence until you get an answer. We ask God to give us a hunger to seek his face for what he lays on our hearts. The prayer of supplication can sometimes lead us into fasting. Nehemiah 1: 1-6 , 1 kings 8: 37-40, 54 - 55

Supplication is also known as prevailing in prayer. A fervent insistent prayer before Gods throne until a breakthrough takes place, whether in your personal life, or for someone else. Supplication can be a form of intercession or petition. A Biblical Example is found in Luke 18:1-8. Faith can be persistent prevailing prayer and not just a one time prayer, that is a different type of prayer.

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Luke 11:9-13

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

James 5:17,18

Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

PRAYER AND INTERCESSION ....THE WATCHMAN Feb 15, 2008 1:19 am
299 Views
The watchman a guard who keeps watch security guard, watcher lookout, lookout man, picket, scout, sentinel, sentry, spotter, watch.

A true watchman constantly watches God, the Chief Watchman. They are attentive to Him and consequently sees things through God's eyes and Word, clearly hears and obeys His voice, is faithful in practicing all aspects of watching as led by the Holy Spirit.

" The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?" (Isa:21:11)

"Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man" Luke 21:36

When God speaks of His intercessors ("watchmen") and their persistence in prayer,
He says that they "never hold their peace day nor night" and "give Him no rest."
Isaiah 62:6-7; Lamentations 2:18-19

Their heart cried unto the Lord, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give thyself no rest; let not the apple of thine eye cease. Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord ..."
Lamentation 2:18-19

Moses told the children of Israel that in his intercession for them "I stood between
the Lord and you." Deuteronomy 5:5; Psalms 106:23

God has called some to be the watchman on the walls of their famlies, brethren, churches, ministry, cities, and some called to be watchmen over nations. Jeremiah and Isaiah were called to be watchmen over Israel. Some are called to be watchmen on the wall in an international way.

Jesus said to WATCH AND PRAY!

"So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me. When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you shall surely die!' and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul" (Ezekiel 33-9)

SCRIPTURAL TEACHING ON PRAYER AND INTERCESSION #2 Feb 14, 2008 12:54 am
280 Views
When the Lord lays someone on our hearts we pray and leave the results to God. Intercession is prayer to set the captives free from the devils power. All sinners (unregenerate are under Satan's power) and as we pray, the Lord by his Spirit draws those he calls unto himself. As we pray the Lord sets the captives free. Intercession is Spirit led prayer that does Spirit directed work in individual hearts. God does not waste his time. When he calls he chooses and those he chooses he saves to the uttermost.

Isaiah 58:6

Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

The Lord also uses his elect to intercede for one another. The word for "burdens" is baros. It means "heaviness, weight, burden, trouble."
Intercession for the Saints is a way of carrying another's burden. As we pray for them, by the Spirit we can carry their burden in prayer until the victory comes.

Galatians 6:2

Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Because prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God, Peter's chains fell off from his hands, and the gate opened with an angel leading him out of the prison. Acts 12:5-12

Job 16:21

O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour.

Moses interceded for the people of Israel and the Lord spared them. Exodus 32 : 7- 14 Deuteronomy 9:8-9, 12-20, 23-27

As we intercede for others we can call upon the Lords mercy. Remember that he knows the beginning from the end. So we must trust him. God has provided healing but not all get healed or delivered for that matter. One step further...not all get saved but we are called to pray for souls...perhaps God will grant them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth!

SCRIPTURAL TEACHING ON PRAYER AND INTERCESSION #1 Feb 12, 2008 9:39 pm

All our doctrine should be scriptually based and not opinion based. This is why we have so much false doctrine. People want to believe according to their feelings, emotions and mindsets rather than what Gods word says. I will post on what scripture teaches on prayer. Compare spiritual things with spiritual things by the word of God then base your beliefs on what is proved by scripture, confirmed by history, and is fact based. You are free to have your opinion but that does not mean that your opinion is truth. Gods word alone is truth!

Intercession means mediation...to mediate or intercede: act between parties with a view to reconciling differencesAmong Protestant Christians, intercession commonly refers to a Christian praying to God on behalf of others. This is common to all Christian traditions, though Protestant teaching normally limits intercessory prayer to that on behalf of the living. ( Wip. Ency.)

The principle of intercession is that Christians bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2)

Jesus is the mediator of the New Covenat. He has stood in the gap for his sheep and mediated between them and the Father by bearing their sin.

In the same way Gods people need to interceed in behalf of the lost through Jesus Christ the mediator of the new covenant, by the intercession of the holy Spirit that dwells in the spirit of the born again Christian,(Christ in us the hope of glory...we are the temple of God where his holy Spirit dwells.)

Isaiah 59

Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper. Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace. Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.

We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men. We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us. For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.

And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak. According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence. So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD. As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.

Rom 8:27

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth.
Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

A patented ID system based on A biocompatible ink tattoo with chipless RFID functionality Feb 12, 2008 2:54 pm

SOMARK's purpose is food safety. The St. Louis, MO. based technology company is developing a patented ID system based on a biocompatible ink tattoo with chipless RFID functionality. SOMARK is targeting the livestock industry to help identify and track cattle and thus mitigate export trade loss from BSE scares, also known as Mad Cow Disease.

SOMARK's goals are to 1) ensure a safe food supply and 2) prevent export trade loss from food animal disease scares, e.g. BSE (a.k.a. Mad Cow Disease).

SOMARK's investors include Med-Pharmex animal Health, St. Louis Arch Angels and Washington University in St. Louis.

RFID Tattoos for Livestock

Somark Innovations, a biotech startup, has developed a chipless and antenna-less asset identification and tracking system for animals and even food.

By Beth Bacheldor

Radio frequency identification technology is a valuable tool for tracking livestock, but the button-size RFID tags stapled into animals' ears can fall off, and glass-encased RFID tags injected into skin can migrate deeper into the body and become unreadable. Somark Innovations, a St. Louis biotech startup, thinks it has a better solution: a permanent ink tattoo that relies on radio frequency waves to read and render unique identification numbers.

The chipless and antenna-less asset identification and tracking system uses biocompatible, translucent ink that can be tattooed onto livestock, pets, laboratory animals and even food, such as meat or fruit. The tattoo is applied using a micro-needle, which is actually a geometric array of many tiny needles, and each tattoo is made up of a unique pattern.

The RFID tattoo could solve a problem associated with using RFID tags to track cattle: “If you miss one, you have to stop a 600- or 800-pound cow and turn it around.”

"The tattoo is applied at the same layer of skin as you'd do if you went to get a tattoo that says 'I Love Mom,'" says Ramos Mays, who developed the technology and cofounded the company with Mark Pydynowski.

Somark is developing a proprietary RF reader that operates at a very high frequency to scan the tattoo. (The company says it cannot divulge more details because it is awaiting patent approvals.) The reader, which can discern numerous tattoos simultaneously from several feet away, translates the pattern into a unique ID number that can be associated in a database with a specific animal or asset.

Mays says his identification and tracking system should be less expensive than tagging livestock, though the company hasn't set a price yet. "Anytime you start making a chip with circuits, the device complexity goes up, and that is directly proportional to cost," he says. "But if you think about our raw materials, it's ink, and ink is inexpensive. We have a tremendous cost advantage."

Mays, who grew up on a farm in southwest Missouri, says the RFID tattoo will also solve some of the problems currently associated with RFID tags used to track livestock. There can be thousands of cattle on a single farm, and each cow has to move through RFID-enabled gates to ensure accurate reads of the tags. "The RFID tags don't operate well enough to work at the speed of commerce," says Mays. "If you miss one, you have to stop a 600- or 800-pound cow and turn it around."

Once an animal is tattooed, the ID is permanent. Somark has performed toxicology tests on the tattoos and says the ink is chemically inert. Pydynowski says the tattoo is harmless, whether it's inked onto skin or ingested. Mays, who has run his finger through the ink and ingested it, says, "It's fine. I'm fine."

Somark received some initial seed money and is now in the middle of a Series A equity financing round. Pydynowski says there has been a lot of interest in licensing the technology, and the company hopes to begin pilots in the near future.
