Gods righteousness is imputed to the Christian because he is born of God and a new creature in Jesus Christ. He is declared righteous. In right relationship because the indwelling holy Spirit causes the Christian to walk in the truth and live a holy life. Flesh does not please God. Your good works do not please God. Nothing in you pleases God. The only thing that pleases God is a new creature with a circumcised heart. The Christian will not fall away because God is able to KEEP HIM says the scriptures.

One who falls away was never known of God, never born again, never in the truth, never had a heart circumcision. How can one be uncircumcised when he has been circumcised? They cannot. Those who return to the world are of the world...they hear a strangers voice and know not the voice of the shepherd. A true christian hates sin. He hates the darkness and will not follow the voice of strangers. Why? Because he has Gods nature indwelling him!

righteousness Hebrew tsĕdaqah

Gods justice, Gods morality, vindicated, justification, salvation, God's attribute

Greek dikaiosynē

The doctrine concerning the way in which man may attain a state approved of God. Integrity, virtue, purity of life, rightness, correctness of thinking feeling, and acting.

Rom 2:28-29 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: {29} But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Phil 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh[/COLOR]

Christians were chosen and predestinated Apr 19, 2008 8:17 pm
208 Views
Many refuse to believe in predestination even though the scriptures clearly teaches that the God has predestinated everything to be as it was, as it is, and as it will be. They believe that man has "free will."

Some people are chosen to mercy; some are chosen to wrath. Christians were chosen and predestinated for good while others were chosen for wrath and evil. This sounds harsh to a humanistic mindset. Why? Because man loves himself more than he loves God. He wants always to offer something of himself in the work of the cross.

God designed salvation in such a way so that man could not take any glory. To believe a gospel contrary to the historical Christian faith , the passing off evangelical gospel of today, is to trust in another gospel and another Jesus. Look at the fruit....souls getting saved but not staying saved, greedy ministries stealing off the poor, sex scandels, theft, debauchery of all kinds...is this the true gospel? No it is not!

The wheat and the tares grow together until harvest time and then God will seperate them. You will see a great difference in the near future between the redeemed and the phoney Chiristain apostates. The fruit will be ripe. Those who trust in Gods grace alone for salvation will be very persecuted by this false apostate end time church that is sooooo decieving that many will think that it is the true gospel.

I will show you in the days to come many scriptures and references to the gospel of grace. If you reject that message you are destined to be blind to it but those who hear will hear. BE of Good cheer little flock...not big fat millions saved flock with false prophetic words, but the few, the chosen, set apart, elected to salvation by the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ....The gospel is to be preached to release faith to those called and FOR a TESTIMONY AGAINST THOSE WHO HAVE PLEASURE IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS...WHAT IS UNRIGHTEOUSNESS? YOUR OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS.

The Old Tree Apr 19, 2008 10:26 am

Once upon a time there was a leafy tree in a field. Leaves grew densely on the tall branches. The roots were deeply into the ground. The tree was the most remarkable among the rest.

The tree then became the home for some birds. They built their nests and they lived on his branches. The birds made holes on him, and they hatched their eggs within the greatness of the tree. The tree felt so delighted because he was accompanied as he walked through his long lasting days.

People were grateful for the presence of the tree. They often came over and sheltered under him. Under his branches, they sat down and opened their picnic baskets. “This tree is very useful,” that’s what the people said everytime they went home from shelter. The tree was very proud hearing those compliments.

However, as time went on. The tree was beginning to be sick. His leaves and twigs were falling, then his body became thin and pale. The greatness he used to have was fading away. Birds felt reluctant to build their nests there. No one would come to sit under the tree to shelter anymore.

The tree wept, “Oh God, why is it so hard for me? I need friends. Now no one would come close to me. Why do you take all the glory I used to have?” The tree cried loudly, so it echoed throughout the forest. “Why wouldn’t you cut me down, so I don’t have to bear this suffering?”

The tree kept on crying, and his tears were running down his dry body. Seasons came and went, but his condition had not changed. The tree was still feeling lonely. His branches became drier and drier. Every night the tree wept and cried, until the morning broke.

Cheep...chirp....cheep” Ah, what was that noise? Oh, it’s a little baby bird who has just pipped from the egg. The old tree woke up from his daydream. “Cheep...chirp...cheep”, the noise became louder and louder. There was another baby bird.

Not long after that, the tree became noisy because of the birth of new baby birds. One...two...three...and four baby birds have been born to this world. “Ah, He has answered my prayers,” exclaimed the old tree.

The day after, there were many birds flying to the old tree. They were going to build new nests. The dry branches have turned out to attract their attention to nest there. The birds felt warmer to stay inside the dry branches instead of their place before. The number of birds was increasing and there were more kinds of them. “Wow, now my days are brighter with their presence here”, murmured the old tree gladly.

The old tree was back to cheer again. And when he looked down, his heart was flowing with joy. There was a new little tree growing near his roots. The new tree seemed to smile at him. The tears of the old tree has grown a little tree who would continue his devotion to nature.

Dear friends, that’s the way it is. Is there any lesson that we could take from the story? God always has secret plans for us. The Almighty God will always gives answers to our questions. Eventhough it is not always easy to guess what the resolution is, be certain that the Omniscient God knows what’s best for us.

When there are times He allows temptation for us, in other times He gives us His overflowing blessings. The test He gives us isn’t something that can’t be overcome. When God gave the temptation to the old tree, actually He DELAYED in giving His glory. God didn’t choose to cut the old tree down since He kept some secrets. God was testing his patience.

So, dear friends, be sure, whatever temptation we are facing is a part of the chain of glory He is preparing for us. Don’t give up, and don’t be discouraged. God is always there beside his people.

Daddy Is Driving Apr 18, 2008 12:26 pm

A speaker (Dr. Wan) has once shared his experience:

While his family and he were in Europe, there was once that they need to drive 3 days continuously, day and night, to get to Germany. So, they all got into the car -- he, his wife, and his 3 years old daughter.

His little daughter has never traveled at night before. She was scared the first night in the car, with deep darkness outside.
"Where are we going, Daddy?" "To your uncle's house, in Germany."

"Have you been to his house before?" "No."
"Then, do you know the way?" "Maybe, we can read the map."

Short pause. "Do you know how to read the map?" "Yes, we will get there safely."
Another pause. "Where are we going to eat if we get hungry before arriving?" "We can stop by restuarants if we are hungry."

"Do you know if there are restaurants on the way?" "Yes, there are."
"Do you know where?" "No, but we will be able to find some."

The same dialogue repeated a few times within the first night, and also the second night. But on the third night, his daughter was quiet. The father thought that she might have fallen asleep, but when he looked into the mirror, he saw that she was awake and was just looking around calmly. He couldn't help wondering why she was not asking the questions anymore --

"Dear, do you know where we are going?" "Germany, Uncle's house."
"Do you know how we are getting there?" "No."
"Then why aren't you asking anymore?"

"Because Daddy you are driving."

Because Daddy is driving. This answer from a 3 years' old girl. Yes, our Father is driving. We may know the destination (and sometimes we may just know it like the little girl -- "Germany", without understanding where or what it really is). We do not know all the details, we do not know how to read the map, we do not know if we can find restaurants along the way. But the little girl knew the most important thing -- Daddy is driving -- and so she is safe and secure. She knows that her Daddy will provide all that she needs.

Do you know your Daddy, the Great Shepherd, is driving today? What are your behavior and response as a passenger, His child?
You may have asked many questions before, but can you like the little girl, starts to realize the most important focus should be "Daddy is driving?"

FREE WILL IS WORKS.....WANT TO KNOW WHY ? Apr 18, 2008 11:14 am
190 Views
FIRST OF ALL, YES, YOU HAVE A WILL BUT IT IS NOT FREE. Scriptures attest to this. One is either in bondage to the Devil and his slave or a slave of Jesus Christ and his righteousness.

So when you say that you have a free will, you are saying that your free will chose salvation. In effect what you are really saying is, that you attained salvation by your self efforts...this is classified in the bible as a work of the flesh which has no place in Gods eternal life plan of salvation.

Even if you believe that God provided the salvation and you by believing in his salvation received it, this is still works because you are helping God and contributing to his work on the cross. By doing this you are adding works to the finished work of Jesus Christ and therefore you are believing in a gospel contrary to scriptures, that (particularly if you understand the gospel of grace), will result in your eternal damnation.

Now I realize that this sounds harsh and there are those who do not like me to be so forward in telling you this, but tell you I must because I do not want you to be eternally condemned for trusting in your own ability rather than the gift of unmerited, undeserved, work free salvation.

You cannot add anything to the work of Jesus Christ. He chooses those appointed to wrath and those appointed to life. Why? Simply because he is God and he will do what he chooses.

I will be doing a series on this subject and for those who are interested, please stay tuned.

Romans 9: 10-26

And not only [this]; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, [even] by our father Isaac;
For [the children] being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. What shall we say then? [Is there] unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

So then [it is] not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will [have mercy], and whom he will he hardeneth.
Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed [it], Why hast thou made me thus?

Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? [What] if God, willing to shew [his] wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction

And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

And it shall come to pass, [that] in the place where it was said unto them, Ye [are] not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

The Little Grass Hut Apr 17, 2008 2:15 pm

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for GOD to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.

Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood and long grass to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions.

One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, with smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened, and everything was lost. He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger. “GOD, how could you do this to me?” he cried.

Early the next day he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island.

It had come to rescue him. “How did you know I was here?” asked the weary man of his rescuers. “We saw your smoke signal,” they replied.

It’s easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn’t lose heart, because GOD is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain, and suffering.

Remember that, the next time your little hut seems to be burning to the ground, it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of GOD.

GOD CAUSES UNBELIEVERS TO BE BORN AGAIN Apr 17, 2008 11:39 am
179 Views
The biblical truth is that saving faith is possible only because God causes unbelievers to be born again (1 John 5:1)

Christians are born again through the Word of God which is living and abiding. “You have been born again . . . through the living and abiding word of God.” The word of God is not like grass and flowers. They flourish for a moment and then they are gone, and the life they sustained is also gone. The word of God creates life and lasts forever because the life creating and life sustaining word lasts forever.

The good news preached to you is the imperishable seed; that’s the living and abiding word of God through which one is born again. So the way God brings about the new birth in dead, unbelieving hearts is by the gospel, the good news, and the good news is this: that Christ, the Son of God, died and became our substitute to pay the price for all our sins, and to accomplish perfect righteousness, and to endure and remove all of God’s wrath, and rise from the dead triumphant over death for our eternal life and joy in his presence and all of this offered freely through faith alone in Jesus Christ.

God causes the new birth through the seed of the word, the gospel and he brings about the new birth through your telling people the gospel. God regenerates people through the news about who Christ is and what he has done on the cross and in the resurrection and he gives new life to dead hearts through the scriptures words when you speak the gospel.

You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

God brought you out of darkness and into his marvelous light by the word of God, the gospel so that we can " you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” Christians are in the marvelous light of Jesus Christ so that our joy in that marvelous light might be filled up through proclaiming the excellencies of Christ.

This is how others will be born again,by hearing the good news. And when they are born again they are translated from darkness to Gods marvelous light and can see Christ for who he is and desire him for who he is. This makes our joy complete. Even the angels have joy when God grants the sinner repentance!

1Peter Chapter 1

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

Receiving the end of your faith, [even] the salvation of [your] souls. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace [that should come] unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning [here] in fear:

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, [see that ye] love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh [is] as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

IF BY GRACE THEN IT IS NO MORE OF WORKS Apr 17, 2008 11:01 am
130 Views
When God wants all men to be saved, they are. God calls and predestines. He died for those He predestined and He has been working from all eternity to atone for, sanctify, and glorify His elect. It will occur because God has ordained it so. The term all means all whom the Lord our God shall call.

Acts 3:38, 39
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call

2 Corinthians 5:14-15
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

All is refering to the elect called of God who from all eternity God knew whom He had chosen to be the elect and the eternal plan of redemption was carried out to reclaim "all" He had chosen. Therefore, the "all" to Him is the all for which He intended the death of Christ to atone.

The Lord knows who are his
Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.I and my Father are one.

2 Timothy 2:19
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity
.

Matt. 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

God only knows believers, not unbelievers.

1 Corinthians 15:22-23
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming

Who are the ones who will be made alive? They are the Christians and only the Christians. First of all, to be "in Christ" is a phrase that describes a saving relationship between the redeemed and the Redeemer.

Rom. 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

1 Cor. 6:14
And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

The "all" that died in Adam were all that Adam represented: every individual who ever lived. Those "in Christ" are only believers. The "all" therefore can only be the believers, because it says "in Christ all shall be made alive." If all shall be made alive, then the "all" can only mean the believers because only believers are made alive in Christ

Romans 5:9
Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Adam's sin resulted in condemnation to all Jesus' sacrifice resulted in justification to allOnly the saved are justified.

Since the Scriptures clearly teach that not all men are saved we know that the "all" in this verse can't refer to every individual.

Romans 5:15-19
But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The Bible says that faith is a gift from God (Rom. 12:3); that it is God who grants belief (Phil. 1:29); it is God who produces belief in a person (John 6:29); and only those appointed to eternal life by God are the ones who believe (Acts 13:4. Also, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Rom. 10:17). In order for someone to believe, they must hear the gospel of Jesus (1 Cor. 15:1-4) because the gospel is the power of God for salvation (Rom. 1:16). There is no other name under heaven besides Jesus by which anyone may be saved (Act 4:12). And, one must receive Jesus (John 1:12) in order to be saved.

John 12:32
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me

Romans 8:32
"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?"

The question again here is, who are the "all"?

Romans 8:28-34
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

1 Timothy 2:3-6
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Jesus is the mediator for the believers, not the unbelievers. "Men" in this verse can only mean the elect, the Christians.

If the sins of every individual are actually taken away, then why do any go to hell? After all, aren't all the sins taken away?

John 1:29
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

John 6:33
For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world

Only the believers receive life.

John 6:51

I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Partaking of the Lord's Supper does not guarantee salvation. To eat the bread of Jesus means that it must be done by faith, which only the believer, only those who are appointed to eternal life and believe.

Rom.15:9

But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear ) unto this day. And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:
Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway. I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

It cannot mean that every individual is reconciled to God; otherwise, everyone would be saved

2 Cor. 5:19
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Again Paul speaks of God reconciling the world to Himself.

Matt. 26:28
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins

John 10:15-17
I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

Both these verses specifically state that Jesus laid His life down for the sheep (Christians) as opposed to the goats (non-Christians)

John 17:9
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

Jesus is making a distinction in His prayers to the Father in regard to who is being asked for. It is the ones whom the Father gives to the Son that are being prayed for. The whole of John 17 bears this out. Jesus is not praying for everyone. His prayers are "limited."

Rom. 8:32
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

The "all" here can only mean the believers. Paul is speaking of the saved which is why he says that God will "freely give us all things".

Isaiah 53:12
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors

(many notice but not all)

Heb. 9:28
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation

(Again, another verse that says that Jesus bore the sins of many, not all)

THINGS ARE NOT ALWAYS AS THEY SEEM Apr 15, 2008 12:25 pm

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family.

The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room.

Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement.

As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it.

When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied,

'Things aren't always what they seem.'

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife.

After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest.

When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears.

Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel ," how could you have let this happen? The first man had everything, yet you helped him", he accused..

The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die.

'Things aren't always what they seem,' the older angel replied.

'When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall.

Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it.'

'Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead.

Things aren't always what they seem.'

Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you TRUST IN THE LORD, you just need to REST IN CONFIDENCE that every out come is always IN HIS WILL. You just might not know it until some time later...

THE CULT OF CHRISTIAN HUMANISM Apr 15, 2008 11:31 am

The ideology of humanism came with the enlightenment era. Many so called christians began to embrase this world view: that man was born free and had a free will to choose good or evil. However, this teaching is not historical Christianity but was brought into the church through enligtenment teachers.

The gospel of grace has always been the gospel preached by the early church and the Protestant reformers. WITH THE ADVANCEMENT OF WESTERN civilization came the teaching of the humansits who are now passing off a gospel mixed with humansit ideas as the true gospel. It is not!

Rousseau and Voltaire were enligtenement philosophers. Rousseau wrote the social contract. It is through these philosophers that we get the teachings of democracy, free will, human beings as inherently good, tolerance, and Gods character viewed as all benevolant. From these philosophers came the teachings of humanism which have envaded the western church.

Jesus taught in the bible that man has a sin nature. Man needs a savior. God calls the sinner out of darknesss into his glorious light. Those called of God are chosen of God, his sheep that he layed down his life for. The Father will never loose one of his sheep for he able to save them to the utmost!

Romans 8: 28-30

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called(predestinated and then called) and whom he called, them he also justified, and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
